THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Oh boy, the rumors sure spread fast about Yuu.
Looks like Tama isn't shy about sharing her feelings to the whole world.

Episode felt meh. It was just to build up more for Yuu's band. Yuu's confidence didn't show until his band members all joined together.

At this pace, the episode 12th could be .....- kun.

Tama did what she needed to do, the question here is ¿will Fuuka do the same? maybe this anime will be different than the manga, but it is taking too much time advancing so the end maybe we already know it.

Where is episode 7? It hasn't even shown up on Crunchyroll yet. Same with Saga of Tanya the Evil. They're all missing.

Why do I feel like this is a calm before a huge shitstorm that's gonna happen after the concert

Tama did well to at least put her feelings out there but I feel like if anyone is going to end up losing and broken, it's gonna be her because we all know that Yuu doesn't love her :(

Fuuka has the most luck ever

Great episode. There were a lot of things I liked and some that I really disliked.

Just as I thought, that stupid photo caused a lot of issues. People in this show simply can't mind their own business. :(

Every episode makes me love Tama more and more. <3 She's easily my favorite character in this show. After her backstory last week which I found really heartfelt and even inspiring with the way she overcame her problems to make it big, her actions this episode stand to prove how strong she really is. It takes an enormous amount of courage to confess openly to the public like that, Job well done Tama, you have my respect. It's sad her feelings will never be returned. :(

The immature crowd annoys me, neither Tama nor Yuu are at fault here. :|

I liked the final moments with Yuu showing the confidence to move forward with his band. :)

I just hope the stupid people in the crowd don't create too many problems cause that would suck. Ultimately, I did love how this episode portrayed Tama's feelings and Yuu gaining confidence but I don't like how this was brought about. The whole photo thing seemed like a very cheap way to create drama, especially disliked the reactions of the public which annoyed me. Honestly, if Tama had said the same things in a different way without the whole letter incident, I think it would've been much more emotional. So, I suppose I'll say I disliked the trigger while I liked the result.

Best episode so far, the social commentary on the use of social media and the cult of celebrities was great, never thought that this anime would do anything like it.

Koyuki was right, she put everything in clean sheets; the crowds are dumbasses, the criticism the anime did on it was perfect.

Yes she was friendzoned, but they were children, children do not perceive love or affection in these circunstances. I think she had a noble attitude to protect the one she cares about.

Also, hit the jackpot becoming Best Girl of the season

That picture spread like wildfire and caused major issues. Tama speaking about her feelings on TV was a big stunt. Yuu's band is showing good confidence in themselves.

Fucking hell. I hate this stupid objectification of idols to the point where they basically can't do anything or have relationships with people cos of how many irrelevant people it pisses off, and because of the threat of arrogant people who can't mind their own business. All the crap that Yuu got was ridiculous as well, although Koyuki did nothing to help matters by saying everything she did on that TV show; most of what happened is not his fault in the slightest, so it's ridiculous that he was blamed and made to apologise for so much. Fuuka being annoyed was stupid because he was going to tell her until she decided to ignore him, so that's solely on her and not on him.

At least the show did a lot to criticise all of this as well, so it has that going for it, but it doesn't change the fact that the whole scenario pisses me off to begin with. It'll be interesting to see how the concert goes though, that's for sure.

Hinashi Koyuki always been best girl out there, at least in Fuuka series.

I like this kind of ending I wouldn't be able to stand out crowns there bullying Yuu right away. :D

Aww what a let down I wanted to see the concert, but I guess devoting more of the next episode to it would be more pertinent but looking like it's going to be rough.

But causing a controversy and getting a ton of people to come is a good marketing strategy for a starting band. If they are good could be good rep for them.

The fact that Fuuka is so willing to just step aside is irritating. And what's even more irritating is the fact that she can't even seem to perceive her own feelings.

How can Fuuka be worst girl in her own show? Well she is, both Sara and Tama are far better characters. Im far more invested in Tam X Yuu than anything Fuuka related.

Interesting to see the impact of social media, its quite pathetic when you think about it. How an innocent photo spreads like wild fire.

Not sure if people are just plain ignorant when it comes to the music industry or some of these characters are just complete idiots. I was really pissed off with the first 6 minutes or so of this episode because of course how the shitstorm went to level 100 in a second but mostly because of Fuuka's reaction to the whole situation. Like really? You're gonna be pissed off at Yuu when he's a victim of a big time misunderstanding then change your mind like 2 scenes later? My god she's so inconsistent sometimes but then again to me she comes off as a character who lives in denial (Inb4 someone says that i's because of her feelings for Yuu). The episode was pretty upsetting but it's building towards that performance so hopefully shit goes down. Also, Hinashi did not make things better with her TV confession. Good job girl.
Don't believe the hype.

Bodukan is going to take a lot of time so maybe we aren't going to see it. Episode 8 concert, 9 Fuuka could show her feelings (doubt it), 10 possible invitation to play in a club, 11 ..... -kun, 12 regroup and Bodukan?? There is no time for it sadly so it needs to be different.

Also, after Fuuka and Koyuki meeting, she decided supporting her, she confirmed the same in this episode, compared with the manga there is a difference. The end could be different than we are expecting.

Finally, is me or are there too many scenes with traffic lights?? Lol

I wonder if this just an exaggeration of a manga/anime story, or if people in the public eye in Japan really have to endure being ripped to shreds for having a private life. It's absolutely asinine that people react like that. WTF.

This episode shows the indiscretion and scrutiny of the current social media and how it can affect regular people. Yuu and Koyuki did one thing out of sincerity of theur hearts and everyone just blew it out of proportion. At least their families and friends understand what they're going through, but seriously!? Going to a concert just to harass a guy!? That's just wrong on so many levels.

Good episode, though. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Oh man, this feels more and more like Nisekoi. Insert [Onodera] here... The confession would be nice if it wasn't all for nought in the end.
Not to mention Fuuka grew conscious of him only because another girl confessed first. And of course Fuuka will win... I am actually disappointed. There is no end of this overused cliche... *sigh*

Also, really cringed at his pathetic friendship speech in the end... there is no way he would be so optimistic when dealing with situation like this.. realisticly, it would be a lot more interesting if he just backed off from the concert.

Else... I really wonder what happens next. If this was real, there would be so much hate and bottles throwing they won't even get to sing. But in this anime, I bet they'll magically win them on their side by their music. Yay, peace and rainbow!

Remember what happened to Aya Hirano back then for example? Media did blew her case out of proportion and she is pretty much done.

Yeah, in Japan idols are better off not talking about their social life at all and several girl groups have even such illicit relations forbidden as part of their contracts. One affair like that and your career is pretty much over as people can't view you as their waifu anymore. Not to mention all stalkers shit that periodicaly troubles every bigger and known group out there.

As a rule of thumb those things are always dismissed and never admitted publicly by their agencies. So you can easily guess what shit would have happened to Kyouki and her close ones from now on. Even though I don't think this series will make big deal of it and it will be forgottern in episode or two but let's see, maybe I'm wrong.

No, Yama actually made things worse. She felt bad for what happened after the photo came out. It was her request for the pinky-swear while they were standing right there. Without that, the photo op would have been much less so. So she announces publicly who Yuu is and that he is just a friend. She should have stopped there.

She knows Yuu is taking shit from her creepier fans who think he's "taken their Tama" from them. So she then announces her one-sided love of him? Talk about PR Amateur Hour!

I don't think it's that far off. Think about all the times we hear about a voice-actresses getting married. Many times the news is that they got married months or even years before.

But she is a girl, so of course MC is going to continue talking to her.

What she did was absolutely stupid, and it was poor writing to do so without giving a good reason for her decision. Right now it feels like a cheap shot in order to move the plot forward and cause drama.

How did she not know that the backlash against Yuu would be immense? This just exposes how bad Japan's massive idol obsession is.

She's also messing up now, too. Even after being warned by her manager about being careful what parts of her private life she makes public, she made that confession, further riling up her fan-base -- plus I doubt her production company appreciates being made out as lairs when they denied it was her.

She's at the concert now and surrounded by these same fans, unescorted. She's so nervous she's jumping whenever someone mentions her name. Someone's going to notice her at this rate, and she has no one to ensure her safety. Remember Euphie getting mobbed when she was found in public in Code Geass?

I just watched it , i do feel bad for both them, i mean like like the character themselves said they did not did anything to deserve this sort of ........hate from the crowd, well what Koyuki said became a catalyst. Just let people care for people they wish to care for, the crowd has no say in it. Well Yuu man up and let see if he can turn this around.
This sort of things definitely occurs in our world, in this case this more of crowd jealousy on a childhood love, damn feels a little sad that this love really will be unrequited.

Was that something stupid though? From the perspective of viewers, yes, it definitely was because we are observing whole situation from step back perspective and based on logic but she definitely acted on behalf of her feelings and I don't think it was badly written per se. I remember few people who did that and it was an interesting story-device to show the low of current idol business. And as far as I'm concerned her fans can go to hell if they acted this way, wouldn't be surprised if she actually quit the music business based on their action. This shouldn't be norm for fans to act this way.

What I actually fear is that they would trivialize consequences of her actions and let them use music magic to set everything all-right, that would be really bad writing.

Well, we finally got to the moment before the start of their first concert! YAY?? Under normal circumstances, I would really like this slow and well-built pace, but with so little of the season left, I'm afraid that things aren't going to be well concluded. I would love for Fuuka to get a second cour and an additional 12 episodes to really get to the best parts of the story. Oh well...

In regards to the episode, Tama-chan/Koyuki dropping mad truth bombs with no regard for human/loli life :P This is the calm before the storm of the next episode which should probably be the best yet. Can't wait.
