| So many gay moments from stripping in a restaurant, ass-touching and I was just sitting back and waiting for the anal sex to begin but not even so much as a BJ happened. :( You disappointed me. Sigh. Anyone who denies the STRONG AS FUCK yaoiness in this is fucking blind and needs to get their eyes re-examined. Kidding aside and not kidding (coz that was fucking gay and coming from someone who swings on both sides, that was pretty fucking gay) Phichit's performance was bomb. But his music sounded like some cheap advertisement background music. Georgi's performance was the best. Chris's performance LOL, "I'm gonna come!" Japanese Yuri was meh. If I were gay, I think I would find a little offending how they usually depicted in shows. Effeminate a boy from the couple, not by nature, not by personality but imitating it's a 'man' and 'woman' relationship. As a side note: I don't get yaoi-fans. What's good about watching two hot guys love each others for a girl? The men who are into lesbians in porn movies. I think the same goes for homosexuals, they are interested in more homosexual movies either. I'm not homophobe. In real life I couldn't care less that someone likes the same or the opposite gender. Girls like yaoi simply because they like hot guys, instead of adding annoying heroines in a show, why not add more hot guys? Most shoujo nowadays are lame anyway, so it's not surprising if they find yaoi more interesting. |

Why can't we for once have a mainstream show featuring a gay relationship without filing it away under the BL/yaoi category? I don't see special category for anime with straight relationships. I don't see what you not understanding yaoi fangirls has to do with anything. You may as well say you don't understand why people like the colour blue. | I just watched the dub on Funimation. The English dubbing has been pretty good, but this episode had a major fail. They gave Christoph and his coach lisps. It was like watching something from Adult Swim, only unfunnier. The one good thing relating to them is that the dub staff kept uncensored Christoph's comment at the end of his performance. Was there something in the original Japanese that would justify the lisping? That kind of stereotype hasn't been funny since, well, since ever. But if the English writers and cast were simply doing an accurate job of translating with nuances, I could understand it. |

| Just want to put it out there that Yuuri is a smart kid to know not to eat raw food in China before a major competition.... I wouldn't want him to go into the competition with food poisoning.... lol. I love how the Phichit & Co. are so in tune with their SNS. It puts such a realistic and modern feel to the show and makes it seem like it's happening in real-time since we use more or less the same phones and SNS apps in this day and age. It's interesting to see how Yuuri learnt to cheer on others after Victor scolded him in the last episode. It proves that he's growing and learning as a character. This is especially true when he takes the initiative to hold Victor's hand and tell him not to take his eyes off of him. He no longer needs to hide under the guise that he's a 'beautiful woman or katsudon' seducing the man of his dreams. He is doing it of his own will. I like how his confidence is oozing here for the first time and his pattern of speech changes with it. Giorgi's SP performance has got to be one of the most hilarious things to happen in YOI so far. XD |

As soon as I saw Jean-Jacques Leroy, I knew right away Mamoru voices him!! XD He's so extra, based on that pose alone... LOL. LOL, Victor is so carefree!! O_O Also, the Chris guy wasn't "Eros" at all, if anything he's just a creep, yuck. Keep your ass away from the screen, please! Seeing how I'm already halfway through the series, I have to admit - I'm quite surprised how fast pacing in this anime is! It's pretty much competition after training after competition, and so on. You can't say it's just SoL with sport elements and tons of fanservice (well, that last part might be true). I'm a bit sad there is no time to take a break and get to know main characters a tad better, actually :< |

The skating animation overall so far is meh in my opinion, but there were definitely previous episodes, or at least one previous episode, where it looked better than in this one. It seemed kind of unintentionally silly to have characters in the show exclaiming how amazing someone's routine was when they didn't actually look good from an animation standpoint. I thought the American skater's routine was the best animated, the rest didn't stand out much and were pretty blah. |
