| Yaoi. And bara is even better lol I like yuri whenever I find an actual good story that has actual character development to it and isn't just page after page of just fanservice. To be fair I'm the same way with yaoi. I can read one shots but I prefer stories that actually have a few volumes and an interesting plot. It ain't all just about the booty :p |

| I find some yaoi fangirls/guys to be extremely annoying. They ruined AOT with their Levi x Eren ships. The Hetalia ships are just as cringey. The anime is a historical parody show, not a freaking shounen-ai, but they act like it is. Don't even get me started on Durarara...They put characters into these relationships even if the anime has nothing to do with yaoi. You can't really escape them since they're everywhere in the anime community. I'm totally okay with yaoi, but there is a certain point where it gets unbearable. Again, many yaoi fans aren't like this, but the majority of the ones I've come across are. I find yuri fans to be a little better when it comes to couples. People in the yuri fandom aren't as obsessive about this. |

| I read more yaoi manga but watched more anime with yuri in it. I would say in terms of manga, yaoi has so much variety so I would choose to read that but there isn't a lot of bl anime, like there is with yuri (at least shoujo ai) so I like that more. Plus, who wants to watch love making scenes when watching an anime? I totally prefer yuri in that sense because it's a lot purer. Overall I like both and I can not choose, but if I had a gun to my head and HAD to make a decision.... Yaoi (look at my top 5 manga) |
