| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This finale felt strange imo. I think it was a way to just wrap up everything including a visit by a mysterious character for Chihiro. Overall decent show although I find it somewhat repetitive as the episodes progressed. They also overemphasized on Chihiro and his mother's relationship with background storytelling including the finale. Other than that, I thought the show was alright. |

| It's was a nice anime and i would like to see more so maybe we will get another season. The characters where nice and lot's of funny moments. The ghost part this episode was nice. |
| So we got the final episode that in the end was more of the same formula that in my opinion worked very well, heck, this was one of my favorite shows this season along with Tanaka-kun and BNHA, I came back every week and for me worked really well. Over all was a good series, a few things here and there but I have seen worse, ahh if only someone would pick up the manga cuz is definitely something I want to read~ |
| Shounen Maid was my sleeper hit of the season, unless you count Tanaka-kun (haha get it sleeper hit, okay I'll stop). This show wore its heart on its sleeve and was the most touching and down to earth show this season imo. Probably S2 never with how unpopular and blu-ray/dvd sales, but I'm just glad we even got one-cour of this. |
| This series surprisingly won me over despite the many red flags the promotional material gave out. (Studio 8bit (my last experience with a newer anime of theirs was Comet Lucifer which didn't leave a good impression at all when it ended) and the premise sounding a lot like fujoshi-bait yaoi turned me off a bit (its not that yaoi is inherently bad to me but I avoid most series centering around it no matter how well received (though I'm considering on giving Love Stage a watch in the future))) It was quite a good watch each week due to its themes about family as well as pretty good characters and comedy. |
| I can't believe it's over. This show was so simple yet heartwarming at the same time. I'm gonna miss Chi-chan and Madoka. Chihiro's mom spirit checking up on him to see that he's doing alright was really sweet :) |
| Among the shows other merits, award for cutest mom. In fact the Takatori women are all pretty. Good show though. Premise from the bio may seem off putting for whatever reason but a very warm and caring show. |
| Nice finale. But I think they should have solved the subplot with Chihiro's grandmother. Now this complex is still unsolved without a prospect for a second season (so far). |
| This is the best show for me this season. Heart warming on some episodes that left me tearing. I like how they didnt rush the pace with grandmother. It isn't something that can be resolve so soon. Mother had a happy life that passed on to her son. I'd say Madoka too got the same kindness as his sister. A child raised well. 8/10. |

| Even if Chihiro asking it, about the "bad terms" between Madoka and his mom... I don't really think he'll understand. So I guess it's a good choice for Chihiro for not asking about it. So it really is evil spirit a ghost. And it's no "ordinary" ghost, it's Chihiro's mom in ghost form. If only they have it longer displayed in the episode, not for the gloomy but for the scary-fun part. LOL |

| Very weird finale. Even though the whole paranormal thing was pretty out of place, this show handled it incredibly well! C'mon Chihiro... A ghost helps you out a bit and you freak out? When the ghost in my house helps me out, I thank it (albeit awkwardly). |

| I liked it. The marketing on this one was really misleading, though it dropped hints on the show's true nature. The ghost part was weird, though. Still, I can't really fault this show anything serious. |

| I'd expected to drop this within 2 weeks of it airing, but here I am at the end. Very relaxing and heartwarming show, thank goodness it wasn't what I expected at all. |
| Nice last episode, weird how a strange ghost shows up though. I felt like Chihiro had way too much responsibility for his age and knew two much about what's right and wrong. Like, he knew what was best for Madoka and took care of him. It would have been nice to see Chihiro act more like a kid and not get so caught up in cleaning. 7/10 |

| This was a bit of a strange finale, with Chihiro's mom being a loli ghost and seeing him. Overall, this was a nice watch. Not my favorite SoL series this season, Tanaka took that title, but it was definitely down to earth and relaxing. |

| I really enjoyed this show. I thought it was very funny and very well done, the animation was good, characters, everything. Would LOVE to see a second season. I wish more people would have given this one a chance. 8/10 |

| A great show.I feel like there could be a second season were the grandma tries to bring chihiro to the main house.In ep 09(21:04) the grandma hints that she wants him to live with her. I think this could start a new season on its own but theres more. A love interest pops up toward the end of the season. you don't find out a lot about her but you can tell she like chihiro. So in my opinion there is a possibility of a second season. The manga on the other hand stopped in 2012 and will hopefully start up again. |

| This show was really good, heartwarming from start to finish and had a small enough cast of characters that they could all stay relevant throughout, and their coming together was pleasant to watch. 8/10 |

| Chihiro's Mom and Dad together... ;;;;;;; Who's crying, I'm not crying. **sniff* The idea of Mom's ghost came a bit out of nowhere, but it still fits the show quite well. The only thing I was expecting is Madoka making up with his mother and Chihiro getting closer with her, maybe, starting to call her grandmother. Oh well, hopefully there may be a second season, and we'll see this! Overall this is such a lovable show with a bunch of cute characters, I believe it to be one of the best of the season. 8/10, and hoping for a sequel, why not! |

| I wasn't expecting an actual ghost girl after that one episode when Chihiro watched a horror movie but it ended nicely with him actually getting to say goodbye to his mother. Nothing was resolved with the grandmother though but I guess it's more realistic that way? Unless, of course, it continues in the manga or there's going to be a second season. |
| Enjoyed this series immensely, though the supernatural element in the last episode was unexpected and odd (It was emotional though). The issues surrounding Madoka, Chihiro, and Madoka's mom weren't resolved...guessing I need to read the manga for that or wait for another season. |

| The final episode, and it's weird seeing him work so much. Figured he'd collapse at some point, but I didn't think they were gonna make it into a joke. So many heart warming yet funny moments this episode, it was nice, and Chihiro's Mom coming back like that was a huge surprise, such a nice and feelsy episode, and an excellent finale. Glad I decided to give this anime a try, and I'm giving it a 7/10 :3c |

| Vision blurry.. Can't see through tears. *sniffle* It got me. I'm going to miss this show.. It's kind of weird how suddenly there was the mom's ghost. But whatever, it still made me cry. I do wish that they would have spent more time on Chihiro and his grandma. Overall though, it shows that he's going to be ok, and is happy with his new life and family. |
| Loved that ending! Really nice how they finished that, with having him telling that making it an unique way to recap the series! I sure liked this series, while it was a bit on the slow side, it was still very enjoyable! |
