I see you really enjoyed Jojo Part 3.

I was just wondering, what aspects of part 3 really made it a part that is above the other parts in your eyes? I honestly can’t decide whether part 3 or part 4 is my favorite lol

Thank you for the song! I hadn't heard the original but it was certainly a lot of fun. Reminded me of some of the fast-paced Megadeth stuff that I used to love.

I understand your finacee's family since mine was the same growing up. We've recently begun to change that (mostly on my insistence of just saying what I feel lol; going through a burnout last year made me quite expressive). It's certainly much more freeing to say what's on your mind and be done with it even if it results in a fight. Better than stewing over miserable feelings for days. Someone or other apologizes after a few days/weeks and we can start over. It must be interesting to see how your style and your finacee's work together. There's a lot of stuff to learn in every relationship I'm sure.

Yes, lol. Women are just like them. Some are dorks, some would be sports nerds, some are into pertying and stuff, there are all kinds. It's funny to see those guys who claim things like, "Women are such and such." Not all women dude. Just like not all men. Half of the world's population cannot be each like the other. Who's to explain that to many MALers though? I get tired of posting rationally in such threads and I end up shitposting usually.

We do both lol. Large dinners for other families are a thing where families get together and have multiple course meals (RIP the clean p people; mostly women of the household). There are a month of barbecue dinners after the goat-slaughtering festival called Eid-ul-Adha. Restaurants are popular too. Young people gather there with friends and stuff faces. I enjoy the activity more for the bonding than the eating, but that's mostly because I generally don't enjoy eating very much. Except for dessert. What are the popular hangouts in your neck of the woods?

Yeah I think they should make the decision of moving online already. Cases in Europe are surging. I just hope there isn't another WFH here! WFH should die a horrible death.

How is post-break life going? Ahh thanks for sharing your track. I loved it. The jazz was quite cool. It gave me some vibes of Tomorrow Comes Today by Gorillaz. The bass isn't that strong in that one and the jazz isn't that cool, honestly lol but there is some good harmonica work. Have you listened to any Gorillaz? He does wonderful experimental work.

The 80s were definitely over-the-top. It isn't just the goofy things, though, that stand out but the creativity at least in terms of music. Love the genres that took root from there, from goth to thrash metal.

Yes, partners, you better be ready to be bothered lol.

Yeah that's true, many MALers haven't spoken to women in real life, and even those that have, haven't had friendships with that many so only see them as a foreign entity or "the other". Funnily enough, they also want to be with these women that they despise so. Dudes, we're human just like you. Prick us and we bleed and all that jazz.

Haha, there are hardly any clubs here (only private ones if any). Our major recreational activity is eating. And no, nothing is closed, though this week has seen a slight spike of cases and a government spokesperson advised caution today. I'm personally still cautious. Haven't gone out much at all for leisure. Only thrice since quarantine ended, actually. Most people have let loose and should be wary of a second wave.

Yikes, why doesn't your uni follow a rota system for students like most workplaces are doing? Would mean hybrid classes with half of the students attending in person and half online. The university would have to invest a little in cameras and such but at least that would reduce the number of students on campus at any given time by half. Or they should just continue online classes. Having students fill up a room does not seem wise.

Spring break in October? Sounds super relaxing. A jazz beat should be good!

You are a fan of the 80s too? Sweet. The music was especially good in the 80s.

Thank you for sharing about your relationship. I can relate to having a fear of losing something almost contributing to actually losing that thing. Such fears often act as self-fulfilling prophecies. They may seem inconsequential to the other but if left unchecked may pile on top of each other and become a large barrier to one's confidence in the relationship. I'm glad the two of you were eventually able to share these fears with each other, and to agree to be more open. Hiding such thoughts is often attractive in the short-term because you may not want to rock the boat or may be embarrassed to admit to fearful thoughts; but in the long term they fester and result in cracks in communication and confidence. I'm glad the two of you were able to get past this hurdle. I hope you will continue to maintain good communication and pay due attention to any growing fissures, before they get out of hand.

Good to know about the progress in keyboard procurement! Yeah I don't mind drama on CD usually. The last few months were dedicated to many anti-female threads though, which left a bitter taste in my mouth. Doesn't seem good to know that people you're conversing with actually hate your guts, and through no fault of your own.

Work situation is good, thanks for asking. I started going to office regularly in mid-August and have been getting physically and mentally healthier ever since. We don't have the second wave here. (Yet.) Around 500 cases everyday, which has been the norm for the past month. The government has been warning of one though and been urging caution. They're scared of what's happening in Europe with record-breaking cases. How are things in your neck of the woods? Have they affected your university?

Nice to see your message. Sorry for the late reply. I've been falling asleep at odd hours after work these days. Thank you for the name of the band! Some of their photos make them look like 80s hair metal bands. I guess thrash metals is stuck in the 80s, Not a bad thing, by any means.

"There's no instant gratification, no quick results, it's all about putting the hours in." True for most things worth doing in life.

It's great to hear about you and your finacee patching things up. It is very difficult to overcome one's flaws. How did you manage that? Or do you mean that both of you have learned to live with them?

Thank you for sharing your experiences with football. I get that it must not be very fun to play if one cannot gel with their team or get the opportunity to go out on the field.

I wish you luck in your keyboard quest! You missed CD getting worse is all. There's a bunch of political threads due to the American elections and Akko went into oversharing mode for a time. Meanwhile, mods have been performing badly as usual, so CD is a moshpit with everyone doing the pogo.

You had better jog your memory and remember the name of this unicorn of a band.

The breaking jams must be quite fun to attend. I can visualize a lot of energy and creativity packed in one space. I hope a new place is found soon for you to hold your events. I remember quite a few people being into breaking in my high school days but that was as informal as it got, kids getting together after school to practice and then performing in school talent shows. Some were quite talented actually.

I get your issue with the Tinder girls you describe. They seem to want to be in a relationship just for the sake of being in one; for validation or bragging rights or some reason perhaps. What they do not seem to be interested in is actually getting to know the other person and develop a connection with them. A relationship is not just dates and Valentine's and the other superficial traditions associated with it. It is essentially two people falling in love. How does one fall in love if they do not open themselves to the other and sees the other's true self? Until one is committed to entering a relationship to fall in love, they will only be confined to the superficial, and thus render the "relationship" meaningless.

Haha, I'm glad you chose the authentic route instead of play-acting some persona to get attention. The latter kind of interviews might be amusing but they do not serve the intended purpose - getting the reader to know the subject. If one has interesting things to say while being their genuine self, there's no point of a persona. Was there a reason why you stopped playing football? Your optimism is infectious, Orgy! You should put those last words on your profile so we can visit them everyday and get solace. Let the waves take us where they will.

You're welcome.

tsubasa_ Jun 18, 2020 1:29 PM
Hope you're right about that.

Well just do whatever you like with it as it's yours and not mine lol. You make it sound like it's an art one can only perfect after years of hard work and discipline lol. You need to be determinded to achieve that but I wish you best of luck and someday you will able to tame the beast haha.
No worries, you're very welcome! After seeing yours I can't even imagine it at all lol.

I used to watch people breaking on TV back back in the 90s and I thought it was impressive but nowadays I barely hear or see anything about it so I was a kind of "dumbfounded" (in a good way of course) that it's your main thing. I'm happy to hear you've found something you really enjoy doing! I can feel it's radiating lots of positive vibes hehe.
They are, I mean even tho I've never played the games myself I had to LOL. Oh I can imagine this so well, my friend said the same about the games so I'm contemplating to play them myself, thing is my PS4 barely has any space left so I'd have to delete something or buy an exernanl rip.

I wish I could give you a clear answer, you know I like listening to music, reading, gaming..nothing to extra-ordinary and boring if you ask me. Back then I used to draw a lot, at first landscapes but then anime took more and more over my life so I switched to drawing anime related stuff. I liked to show the pictures to my family & friends and was really motivated to draw one picture a day. I stopped doing it tho, I just lost my passion for it.. I thought about going back to drawing but it's easier said than done. Should I just force myself? Who knows maybe that was the Majima I had but lost it on my way?
tsubasa_ Jun 18, 2020 12:07 PM
Haha I wish you good luck on that! Hopefully I will find the rollerblading Majima within me too lol.

I'm glad I didn't fuck up. Oh I can imagine, I just liked it from the picture and tbh if I was born a man I would probably go for a beard like that haha. I'm happy you won't shave it off, it suits you so well!

Btw I also read your interview and I've never seen someone so passionate about one of his hobbies. Well like you said breaking it's more than just a simple hobby. I admire that! You are literally the first person I meet who's a breaker.
I also wanted to mention that I've never played a Yakuza game myself, a friend of mine likes the games and he's been trying to get me into them with memes. So yeah once I saw your pfp I had to show you that Majima video lol.
tsubasa_ Jun 17, 2020 3:07 PM
Wise words. I hope you can find the rollerblading Majima within you!

Also I hope you weren't offended by that "beard thing" I started.
operationvalkyri Jun 14, 2020 11:42 AM
You're probably right about the happier thing. Metal isn't the best music when you want to feel uplifted. Metal also doesn't have pretty boys.
Thank you for sharing your track. It's quite impressive. It's catchy (and I'm sure must be moveable). How did you think to use the Latin style with hip hop? The less repetitive thing would come with practice I'm sure. And listening to a lot of other music! What does the breaking scene look like? Is there a troupe of breakers? Are you just a group of friends who practice? Are there clubs and such?
What kind of a person would you deem boring? I can kind of understand why some Tinder users must be seeking validation. There must be a lot of rejections on the app after which someone finally gets a chance to talk or go out and they're looking for some kind of sign that they won't be rejected again. Of course that's not any way to impress your date. But who can negotiate with insecurity? I get why this kind of behaviour is off-putting to you. Confidence is attractive. Wow they're worse than MALers, huh? Bottom of the barrel. Tinder is apparently only used for random hookups here so I don't think anyone is even looking for a normal, confident personality. I forgot to notice or comment about this in my last comment but I'm glad that you find yourself in a position to want to date again. I hope you are able to find someone who suits you. Whether it be my have-to-settle-for-no-beard-spammer-friend or not.

Tbh I did not expect such kind words in the interview. But thank you once again! I was overwhelmed for a moment at reading them. The interview did exude a sense of calm and groundedness. If I had asked you an interview question, it would have been: Where do you get your sense of calm from?
