 The wraparound jacket on the 19th volume of Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, which will go on sale on March 10, has announced a movie adaptation of the light novel series.The series written by Tsutomu Satou and illustrated by Kana Ishida has been published by Dengeki Bunko since 2011. It was previously adapted into a 26-episode TV anime by animation studio Madhouse in 2014. Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei is the second best-selling light novel series of fiscal year 2015 with 1,175,978 copies sold. The light novels have been licensed in English by Yen Press under the title The Irregular at Magic High School, with the first volume scheduled to be released on April 19, 2016. For some reason, the way the title of this news article is worded makes this sound like it'll be a movie version of the TV series, but I'm assuming it'll be a continuation of where the TV series left off......I'm pretty sure I'm understanding this correctly. |

It would be impossible since the first season only adapted six volumes (volume 1 to volume 7, minus volume 5). So most likely it will adapt volume 8 (reminiscent arc), it's easier that way than adapting visitor arc. |

| This still does not break the trend of Madhouse no producing a S2..but considering that more anime is till coming of a title they made...leaves me with a little more hope that some of there other high seller titles might get more anime such as a Movie like NGNL, Overlord, OPM, My Love Story, etc... nothing wrong with hoping, As for fans of this series...congratz it managed to beat the odds and has more anime upcoming. |
