| I don't get why people are so confused about what Kiyoko said. She said a banana suits Tanaka because he behaves like a monkey in her eyes. Either that or she is implying some phallic innuendo, but more likely the monkey thing since that is how she views him. |

| Haven't posted since the first episode because there is nothing more to say because now I'm just repetitive. This anime is brilliant, simple as that. I love it beyond belief and even though I read the manga, it doesn't take away from the anime at all. Watching one episode a week is torture really. HQ always makes me smile involuntarily. I literally smile and laugh so much that my cheeks start hurting. I get caught staring at my laptop with a huge grin, my brother side-eyes me and I could ultimately care less. This anime is life. |

| So I guess Tekachu is a Haikyuu version of Pikachu. Hinata lacks a Pikachu in height. Still I loved that game, it's nice seeing their yankee opponent be humble towards their former captain. |

| Loved the way this episode was framed. It felt like, just for this episode, that Karasuno was the overpowered antagonist while their opponents were the still-learning underdogs. The episode switched those tropes around, so that Karasuno felt like the typical "villains" in sports anime while their opponents were the protagonists that we're meant to root for. Narratively, Karasuno almost felt like a visitor from different show for large chunks of this episode. Demonstrating Karasuno's newfound incredible strength via the perspective of an outside team was a smart choice, one which also underlines the reasons that Karasuno has reached that level and these particular opponents have not, which ties back to Haikyuu's central themes (and especially the question of the purpose of trying even when there is no chance of victory, which has been an especially prominent idea this season). Haikyuu has been awesome this season. I mean, it was very good last season as well, but it's really been excellent this time around. |

| And this is why I love the heck outta Haikyuu. Every team matters. Everyone matters. I got goosebumps when their ace ran over to catch the ball, he ran into the table but didn't care. He got so much cooler as compared to before, so was everyone in their team. It was amazing... "Tanaka looks good with a banana." Was that a pun on his name? I don't know, Kiyoko has gotten weird EDIT - Ah, so she sees him as a monkey, lol. Yachi really cracks me up, cat + Hinata = huge guy, lmao. Best girl. |

| Although the game was presented today was not very intense, she managed to involve me and let me keep the focus on it, but everything is turned around it was very interesting and well run. Funny the comic parts of the narrative, the characters of this anime series are always fantastic, I can not wait to watch the next episode. kawaii-despair said: "Tanaka looks good with a banana" I'm dead after that statement. | What was up with that guy's hair? looked so bad. But his personality was something you admire, he'll always be there for his team. Anyway, the preliminaries started off so good, we got to see Karasuno's first match against Ohgi Minami (gotta love how the team was filled with delinquents). i felt a little sorry for the main delinquent, his past is a little sad but that all came from their procrastination to better the team. He made an amazing save in the end but they didn't get that point... however it wasn't in vain at all cause Ohgi Minami is motivated more than ever! Looking forward to the next match against the 2 meter-tall guy |

| While I supported the Karasuno in S1, strangely enough, I couldn't help but kept rooting desperately for the opponents they played against in this season, haha. And although I knew Karasuno was protected by plot armor, I was really hoping for Aoba Johsai's victory. Oikawa's best. |

| This was a fun episode. With the initial concept of a team of delinquents, I thought they were being set up to lose as a bunch of unlikable arrogant guys so that Karasuno could see their newfound strength in a squash fight. I was wrong and I'm so glad I was. I guess I could already tell they were giving the team some character by getting the main guy to be really nice to Hinata while thinking he's a kid. But, I found myself rooting for them near the end of the set. It's super cool that they made a one-off team both likable and go through a character arc. It'd be boring to have Karasuno beat some 1D villains for an entire episode, so instead, we got to see Karasuno's new strength but while focusing on the opponents and that's a great idea. That final point starting with "AND THAT'S WHY WE NEVER GROW STRONGER" or whatever it was as the delinquent tackled some tables to save the point was brilliant!!! I hope if Haikyu goes into the next year in canon that we'll see that team do better then. And after the heartfelt set and before the new threat of overcoming a mountainous opponent really sank in we had a couple of great jokes. Hinata wanting to combine with a shark and Shimizu commenting that Tanaka looked good with a banana both made me laugh really hard. |
| This single episode had more character development for a side character than some shows have throughout their entire run for the main character. |
