So 2nd year middle school (year 8) minus Grade 3 (year 3) equals 5 years ago. Renge is 7(Grade 1) and Hotaru is 11(Grade 5). Notice that if you use subtraction on year and age. Don't bother on adding a year on their age because they didn't mention the month the flashback happened and also the year they are born. And about Konomi's age. Since she has a uniform (middle school can only get uniform and she's 1st year middle school) while Tagashiya (Kaede) is 2nd year middle school (year 8) and is older than Konomi... Might as well says that she is 19(at present). And Konomi is not a student at present. Also if you minus Renge's age (7) to five (5) years. You will get the age of 2. It is hard to see an age 1 baby walk. xD I know Renge's official age is 7 but I tried to take their birthdays into consideration as we are currently at the end of the summer (though you are right we don't know exact time of the flashback). Two year old kids actually don't use dummy pacifier anymore and I think it's safe to say Renge was somewhere between her first and second year in the flashback (and it's not unusual for children to start walking sometimes during twelve months of their age) As for Hotaru, her early birthday (in relation to spring start of a school-year in Japan) only supports her trait of looking more mature than other students. She turned 12 pretty soon after school year started. Speaking of Hotarun.. well, sometimes one year is enough xD You are right on Konomi, I searched for manga and it's true she was in 1st year of middle school, therefore it should be year 7 for her and she should have been be 13 years old back then and 18 years old right now (dunno, wouldn't that actually put her into her third year of high-school though?). But in manga Kaede was officially in her 3rd year of middle-school back then (they are two years apart then) so her being in year 9 is correct and her present age of twenty is official age listed on anime site. But it's true some years and class-years may differ as it's not so unusual for child to actually start going to school late or even early depending on a birthday and recommendations. |

| Nice sleep prevention device there. That flashback. Made curry myself just 2 days ago... but it's a pretty common thing in anime so not that unlikely. And Konomi appears again, and more of Candy Store. I'd say I love all the scenes with her, but I actually like all the characters. No matter who's on screen, the show is just great! And Hotaru with her skills in making (Komari-) plushies. Komari doesn't get the hint though... |

| Another hilarious episode! It's very amusing to see how Renge comes up about her ideas! Snooze Stopper! what an innovation Ren-chon! Baby Renge is super duper adorably cute! And a disaster maker when leaved unattended! It's a pity a lot of curry was wasted. Koshigaya sisters are both cry babies years back... There is a lost of students that school when Dagashiya is still a student! I forgot Konomi existed on S1...hehe Hotarun plushie expert maker! 5/5 |

| Komari and Shoukichi-san was my personal favorite from this episode. I don't know why, but i found myself tearing up a bit. Time flies... Overall, a great episode. Funny beginning with a warm gentle finish. |

| "Curry-napping" is my new favorite word thanks to this episode XD the flashback of Baby Renge and little Natsumi and Komari were adorable and hilarious. I giggled when Kaede freaked out when Baby Renge spit on her. Natsumi and Komari crying over the accident was too cute! The plushie segment was hilarious XD poor Hotaru-chan being extremely nervous to her devoted senpai. The last segment of Komari and her teddy bear was sweet. |

| Wow candy girl in school uniform. I actually thought Konomi made her first appearance..? Totally forgotten about her.. all those faces of despair LOL. Komari-chan is sooooooo adorable. I love it when she tie up her hair. Of course it's not dull making the same ones all the time hahaha. She doesn't realize Hotaru just want to make plushies of her. Komari-chan holding Shoukichi-san at the end.... Erhm how old is she again ?? XD |
| All 3 parts of the episode were pretty great this time around. The comedic timing of the final punch line of the first part, I think, was the best in the series so far for me. Seeing the school's alumni when they were still students was also great, and it was kind of reminiscent of the culture festival episode from the first season. Now that I think about it, the culture festival story did have a lot in common with the curry incident story. And the Shokichi-san repair story was just straight up adorable. This episode was definitely the best one overall for this season so far. EDIT: Also this |

| This was such a beautiful episode. I laughed at the part where Renge was telling Natsumi making that woodwork piece and the end result afterwards. I love the flashback scene as well with baby Renge and the others back there. It was enjoyable to watch and seeing how their past has gotten to where they are now. I felt so bad about the curry being spilled all over but that's how Renge loved it ever since to the present day. The second half was just as good with Komari wanting to know how to fix her stuffed toy by asking Hotaru. She kept her precious toy all of those years and I think it comes a long way of how she treasured it so much. I still love this series till this day and it's been a very good show so far. |
