Took a long time to see this one on the internet. It's a really nice, pretty and touching movie. Something like One Hour Photo without the crazy, and the child actually liking the photographer (or the one that develops in OHP's case).

Good stuff, more people should watch this.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."

The best movie Colorido did. Dunno if it's thanks to different and experienced director but it was great portrayal of lives of ordinary people in Japan from WWI to present.

Very moving and bittersweat story of ordinary photographer and grumpy girl.

Well this sure was an absolutely fantastic silent movie I must say! Quite lovely how emotions were expressed and how they managed to show it to the viewer this way.

Really loved it!

It took the photographer so much years to make her smile for the camera, what a grumpy face woman. But I think she never understood the concept of smiling until she saw those pictures of her family. As for this movie I enjoyed it with that retro no dialogue music in the background ambience, the art was overwhelming and fun. I would like to point out her smile was a bit creepy though but I loved her.

7/10 for great short story and art.

For a silent film, this was nice. Not great, but nice nonetheless.

That was one of the sweetest and best things I came across while watching Anime shorts. Wow.

What a nice little film

Its actually a great definition of a sweetness. Look at all of the effort that photographer had to made the child girl smile. There was never too late. You lived to created a dream to come through, until you death, everything still possible to happened. Always be sure, and you could get what you want.

Nice little short movie. Its really impact me so much.

That was really sweet. One of the best thing from Colorido studio. I guess that explains the experience of the director. Also, fantastic art, but that's to be expected when Kimura is involved. Overall, a touching short movie. 8-9/10

art and sound were pretty good. story was decent, though felt bit weird at times (i wonder why the aging feels so wrong). it just could not capture the same feeling as Tsumiki no Ie for me.

Who knew that a 15 minute anime with no talking could almost make me cry. Between this, rain town and Tsumiki no Ie, this is my favourite short anime film that I've seen so far.
