The magical posing and the lizard makes it quite amusing and as usual, Renge is curious about just everything around her. A beautiful way to conclude the episode though imo with the night sky and fireflies. Very classic. |

| Hotaru was able to misinterpret everything Natsumi said right up until the point when she started trying to bluff. Fishing for onions! The shrine is called Biyori Shrine. Ren-chon's expression on finding the cicada nymph. Brilliant. Natsumi so clever in some respects but yet so bad at any school stuff. I want to see Hotaruns... I mean, fireflies one day... |

| Dat Twinkle Sisters scene though... probably the best scene of the entire NNB franchise lol, hilarious Rest of the episode was traditionally uneventful and boring however. The music during the fireflies' scene was pretty nice though |

| I like how every time Natsumi wanted to change the topic, it somehow had a relation to the anime Hotaru was talking about. In the end, she had to come clean and be embarrassed about not having watched "Twinkle Sisters." Well, they still had a nice conversation going on afterwards. The parachute firework scene was a bit gloomy but ended up being hilarious with everyone forcing themselves to say that they enjoyed it. Firefly viewing made up for the lack of actual fireworks quite nicely. |

| Poor Hotaru not being able to get the fireworks she wanted, well her parents where the ones that didn't manage to get them. But they found something else to do and had fun. The conversation at the start was pretty funny too. |

| Idk why, but when I saw the firework doing its magic, seeing the "light" made me laugh out loud already, though the aftermath was also great. I feel for Natsumi, to sort of have a smile, though for me would be due to the other person speaking too quietly before they had my attention. But how the random things Natsumi talked about added to Hotaru's topic was gold! It was somewhat fun to hear how Renge was told not to eat random plants. The reaction to the nymph. The firefly scene was fun, especially how they attracted the fireflies like that. |

| Boring episode but fireflies part was good. Was expecting to see newt scene but I guess season one already did that? I don't know but it's pretty weird to have intro to something that is skipped later. Anyway, Hotarun became friends with hotaru! |

| Great episode, I was slightly disappointed to not have a look at the newt pond. The region I live in is chock-full of amphibians and I have liked them since I was Ren-chon's age. I'm assuming the newts in question are sword-tailed or fire-belly newts that are native to Japan. Here we have Notophthalmus viridescens, the fascinating Eastern newt, a little bloke that turns bright orange during one stage of its life. I wish I could show them to Natsu and Hotarun. I liked Koma-chan's fearful reaction when she first caught sight of the fireflies - "Disembodied spirits!" The cicada scene, fireflies, the failed firework, and the anime discussion were all well-done. |

| Haha...make me laugh so hard this episode. Renge and Komari reaction is way too awesome. I miss the times when I was a kid and me and some of my friends goes firefly hunting...this episode bring back my childhood memories. Renge is still as cute as ever. |

 Fun episode as always. First part was nostalgic, because i have gone through that on quite a few occasions. Since then, have always made a mental note to talk about topics im sure i know alot about, to avoid getting 'exposed' xD And its so nice of the others to stress that they had a good time after Hotarun's failure to obtain more fireworks. |

| Great episode once again! =D I fully understand Natsuki finding it hard to think of something that she and Hotaru can discuss at all. At least they they share a common likeness with the Pretty Cute (Cure) series that Hotaru loves to bits. Unfortunately, Natsuki got exposed when the discussion went to another show that she hasn't seen and failed multiple times to change the subject. ^^ Poor Hotaru, being all overly apologetic when her family couldn't acquire any decent fireworks except for one, which ended up being a disappointment. Damn that trolling bear plush! >_< However, thanks to Kazuho, they all went to see the beautiful fireflies at the pond, which along with the impressive art and soundtrack, also summed up how beautiful this show is. It's sad now that we're halfway through the season already. D= |

| Another fun, cute episode. The first part was pretty amusing, even if Hotaru was kinda annoying when she got ultra excited about her anime. The second part was better than the first, even if it seems like Renge lost another pet in Hand-To-Mouth. The third part with the fireflies and the fireworks was definitely the best though, and it looked the best as well. It's also amusing that the word for firefly is "Hotarun", especially as one landed on her. |

| Another fun and relaxing episode of Non Non Biyori. I just love coming home from a tiring day and sitting back to watch Non Non Biyori. The beginning with Natsumi talking with Hotaru about Pretty Cute and Hotaru getting over excited with the topic while Natsumi had no idea what else to say and was only misunderstood was hilarious. xD Hotaru liking insects and geckos/lizards is pretty cool; can't say the same for Komari. :P I was dying from laughter when Renge said 'who are you?' when the cicada came out of the hole. Renge is just so adorable ahhhh~ Poor Hotaru, she couldn't get any fireworks except a little parachute one. Everyone's reaction was unintentionally funny though. :P The firefly scene at the end was simply beautiful and the OST was just perfect. What a great way to finish the episode! 5/5 |

| Really fun episode man! Both had decent amounts of Natsumi in it, which I approve of. Second half was definitely the best. The firefly part at the end was beautiful. Great season of Non Non so far. |

| I loved this episode, Natsumi is my favorite character so it was fun seeing her get more screen time. The aggressive Hotaru always cracks me up. I'm definitely enjoying repeat a lot more than the original so far! |
