Tch, if this was Chitoge as the lead it would have twice the sales easily :(
17. *50,746 *,*50,746 Magical Pâtissière Kosaki-chan!! Vol.1

Still waiting for the dub and season 4 :'(
*7. 145,558 *,484,807 Kuroshitsuji Vol.21

Wonder if they'll adapt the naruto novels or not :(
Doesn't seem like it would be that successful in anime.

Yes, but how good is it in the rankings in its magazine? I heard that if a series stays on the bottom of SJ rankings they can the series.

*2. 237,951 *,237,951 Shokugeki no Souma Vol.13]

Sold a bit more when compared to older volumes. Not bad.

38. *21,211 *,174,928 Kekkai Sensen Vol.1
42. *18,985 *,170,910 Kekkai Sensen Vol.2
44. *17,664 *,163,782 Kekkai Sensen Vol.3
49. *15,903 *,158,019 Kekkai Sensen Vol.4
50. *15,740 *,167,326 Kekkai Sensen Vol.10
*2. 21,655 *21,655 Kekkai Sensen: Only a Paper Moon

You know this might actually chart in the top 30 yearly manga sales this year if it continues selling like this.

10. *77,344 *,*77,344 Prison School Vol.17

Fab to see all these up there, hoping Shokugeki can get a decent boost by the animes end. Likewise Prison School as it is just godly.

Not much to comment on in the LN rankings other than to be pleased that Mahouka continues to sell amazingly well (thoroughly deserved as well). Also DanMachi boost still evident, good to see.

Is she? Didn't know that, would have thought Chitoge would have been more popular since (up to the point I've read) Onodera has been irritating and fairly dull. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Still hanging in there.

10. *77,344 *,*77,344 Prison school vol. 17

Just wait until the anime comes out, the sales are going to go up greatly.

48. *16,233 *,404,453 Kingdom Vol.38

Good sales, hopefully it only goes up. Need more love.

23. *38,128 *,*38,128 Black Clover Vol.1

Its almost always in the top 5 recently it got number 1 beating monsters like One Piece and Assassination Classroom. looks like it will be staying for a while.

Its doing really well in the rankings so I doubt it'll get axed anytime soon and last time I checked it was above both One piece and AssClass.

It's usually top 5. The lowest it has ranked is at number 6.

That My Hero Academia greatness. It sold roughly 1,108,233 copies in its first year (it might sell even more; who knows). This is the new big shounen battle manga. Get hyped people!

Also, it's good to see I Am a Hero and Ajin doing pretty good as well. I really like those series. I Am a Hero especially; it's really unique and everyone should check it out.

It's not about popularity, it's about quality.
Chitogge being the lead would make for better plot and fanserivice.

Glad to see Gintama doing well as that means more anime hopefully. Also nice to see Prison School in the top 10, such an awesome manga, think the anime will boost sales quite a bit (hopefully).

With the manga boost Kekkai Sensen is getting and the BD doing well this can only mean a second season will most likely happen.

Neat legs for Assassination Classroom and Attack On Titan. My Hero Academia is already doing pretty well, how big could it get with an anime adaptation? Also, is Blood Blockade Battlefront one of the top manga adaptations to get an anime boost from this season?

I'd say it goes to Arslan Senki so far but we'll have to see as that could change.

Hype, I remember some people saying the Shokugeki no Souma anime was a bust!

Proved them wrong.

The anime is doing poorly in the stalker rankings and the series was selling well before it came anyways.

Poor disc sales is an indicator that buyers do not find the anime to be rewatchable enough to own a physical copy, but the ones who find it interesting will seek the source material instead. That is why the most recent volume has seen a boost in sales (29.59% over Vol.9). It wouldn't have seen a boost in sales if the number of interested people did not increase due to the anime adaptation.

Comparing the sales of past volumes, Vol.13 has sold more than Vol.9 (which is most comparable because it was on sale for the same amount of days). However, you can also see that Vol.11 and 12 have sold less than Vol.13 even being on sale for 1 and 2 extra days respectively.

I do not readily have the statistics for boosts for the most recent manga volumes after the anime has aired... so I do not know how Shokugeki no Souma stacks up to other manga series receiving anime adaptations.

^Doesn't change the fact that the anime is doing poorly and there's been a plethora of examples of an adaptation doing well on both fronts and not just a booster for sales of the source of material.

Looks like Last Embryo is doing pretty good with over 25,000 sold now.

Well duh. I provided a likely reason why the disc sales are poor, and have also provided the data there to back up the statements some people have made here.

Well done for stating the obvious. Of course, it is a great result if a series can achieve both a boost in the source material and also stellar disc sales, but every series unfortunately does not achieve this for various reasons. A series that does well on both fronts is one where the anime adaptation is rewatchable for them to own a physical copy, and interested people want to read ahead since the source material is usually ahead of the anime adaptation. Where exactly in my post did I ignore the disc sales?

Happy to see Shokugeki no Soma and Boku no Hero there. Hope Soma has more sales, the anime is pretty nice, should boost up the sales more, when was the volume released?

Vol.57 was on sale for 7 days, while Vol.59 was on sale for 4 days. So, you should be able to figure out why Vol.59 has sold less this time.
