lmao, dub bias, surprising literally no-one. Nah, all these voices were better in the dub, every single damn one. It's pretty easy to hear that Stephanie Sheh's a good voice actress and that she was great as Mikuru, but boringass dub haters don't even bother, cover their ears and go "dubs are evil!!!" because it makes them feel better if they worship Japanese voice actors purely because they're speaking Japanese, as though Japanese voice casting doesn't make mistakes or a Japanese voice actor can't sound off in a role. Hell, most of you don't speak Japanese, which makes it plain difficult for any of you to even tell which Japanese voices do sound good. They just sound exotic and different, so you flock to them, the same way people flock to foreign accents by precedent. Literally, dub actors are the exact same quality as the voices you hear in western animation (which most of you watch as well), yet no-one shouts about them sounding bad all the time... because it's just Japanese-wanking dub bias that makes people shout that they're bad in the first place.

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to bash the English voice actors or anything. But if they can't differ between bad and good Japanese dubs, how would you be able to know if the English Haruhi voices are better or not? (I'm assuming that you don't speak Japanese)

Clearly the original VA is superior, but that also goes the other way around. Take Avatar for example, given that it doesn't have a japanese equivalent, I'm 100% sure no Japanese VA can replicate the voices and make it better, there's just no way.
