Oh man, that ending, wow. Well, that was fun. Makes me want to read the VN again and seeing Mitcher animated was great.

I wasn't convinced until the ending. Though I did like Amane and Yuuji's exchange.

Meh, I think they will remove those censors in the BDs. Anyways, looks good so far especially that ending. I hope they adapt the most important routes.

Going by the last 2-3 minutes, they're adapting all the routes. Pretty much confirms this will be 2cour. That, or the biggest disaster scene ever.

I think Yuuji was naked for more screen-time than Amane... lol

Exactly. Thanks. Always good to see people that are still able to read properly, unlike other certain individuals.

But not only did I say nothing negative about the fanserivce, I don't even see how showing nipples correlates to a 'correct adaptation', or are you also asking for sex scenes in the anime now, Solvi? They could have easily let her hair cover her nipples or use convenient camera angles and that wouldn't have had any negative impact on the anime's quality.

Maybe I'm just 'biting' to easily...

I was grateful for that... I've spent so many hours with them from multiple play throughs of the VN the BMGs play in my head just from looking at a picture of one of the heroines... any other music would have just felt wrong

I was really disappointed when they skipped Yuuji's badassery right in the beginning, but that last few minutes completely made up for it. Didn't expect them to show hints so soon, but it was a good way of making it clear there is something seriously wrong with everyone in the school, including Yuuji. Judging by that ending, they're going with the canon story (Rakuen)? Makes perfect sense, but they can't possibly fit that all in well.

On a side note, whoever handles the music should get fired. I was happy to hear the VN tracks, but what the hell is up with those awkward transitions?

I like the fact they're using the original BGM of the novel.
Also, I'm really curious about how many episodes this will have, judging by the end, it should be 2cour at least (?)

It seems Yumiko is the first one. Can't wait for the next episode.

I'm a little more disappointed than excited.

They skipped so much stuff to fit ~four days to a single episode. Yuji's beating up a criminal, Amana running scared from bugs, Yumiko's failed attempts to stab Yuji...

And I wish they would reduce the panty shots. I know this is an adult visual novel, but this is misleading people from the true nature of Grisaia.

But I am still excited for the next episode. Just praying for less rushed material.

actually given how it ended because it even said "next time School Killer Yumiko" which is the name of said scenes your refering to in the VN I'd guess that's going to be in the next episode... maybe they just switched it with Amane in his room so the foreshadowing at the end worked better ... or just so they could get some bare tits in the first episode lol... they will probably do the Makina fishing pond scene too next episode just to get the characters set

I finally heard Yuuji's voice. I can die happily now.

They cut A LOT more than i thought. If they're rushing the common route and going for a nicely paced adaptation of all the routes in 2 course then this will be awesome. The animation is pretty 'bright'. Nice to hear the actually VN BGM ^^ I'm going to pre-order the BD as soon as it's available.

That's what you get for naively expecting 1 to 1 adaptations. The common route was ridiculously long and only hilarious comedy, anyway. It's better this way, if done well throughout the whole adaptation, that is.

This was a pretty good episode,got me interested in each of the girls and their tragic pasts/dark secrets.

Favorite girls so far would have to be Michiru and Amane.

How does Yuuji sound? Any monologues?

Still watching it. I'm a bit disappointed they skipped the cicada sisters scene. That aside, I think they're going way overboard with all the fan service. It seems like we're going to see panties every single episode. I don't know, it just seems a bit too forceful, given that you don't get to see much aside from Amane's boobs (and Makina's later on) for quite a while.

The black bars are kind of annoying. I liked what they did at the end though.

Mitcher was glouriously animated. Probably some of studio Dokagobo helped on that.

They may also be moving around bits of the story. The criminals can come next episode and so on. But!!

The show is fucking epic!. Loved everything, the art, the style, the sound.

I do think the fanservice was a bit too much, and the foreshadowing was kind of heavyhanded, though, but it was well placed and gives the anime audience a hook of what to expect for later character reveals.

As for the skipped scenes, I know you guys want every episodic nonsensical comedy bit to be adapted, like, even before the characters get introduced, but uh, no. The first episode had quite a lot of dialogue, summing up to 350 lines, even while stopping to do some more serious and slower paced scenes, like for Yumiko's introduction. Most adaptations for VNs don't look anywhere near this promising. Sure, there was were some QUALITY scenes (a bunch of them), but there was a lot of above average animation, some new songs composed for the anime already, and from the foreshadowing, it looks like they're aiming to cover a lot of content, probably going into the sequels for Grisaia no Kaijutsu.

I like dat movie-stile of animation. Just hiope they won't rush the plot too much. 24 eps for Kajitsu will be just enough for me.

The show was epic! Loved all the art and style. Liked that all the girls made the "static" position as in the novel.

About the pace. Rembember they can put the Scene "Beating criminals" in the next episode. The can change around in the story.

Great first episode and ending to hype up the audience. I can't wait to see the opening and ending song.

Started out a bit too slow for my liking but the second half picked it up. Most definitely looking forward to ep 2 next week. Also probably one of the best this season so far.

Amane's route is clearly going to get some screen time at some point, hopefully they adapt it well as it's absolutely amazing. =)

Definitely a respectable adaptation from what I can see in Episode 1. Hope this will be 2-cour.

Amazing first episode, even though some things were skipped. Yuuji's voice was perfect for his mysterious yet badass aura. Those last two minutes made the episode for me. I always loved that soundtrack used for those two minutes. Wished they kept the beginning of the game though to show more of Yuuji's 'character'.

It has promise, seeing the girls animated when you're used to the VN is quite nice.

That VA definitely works for Yuuji and that ending definitely got me excited for the rest.

Yeah I don't think I'll be watching this. Something about it really annoys me (probably the characters) and the animation seems off for some reason. This definitely isn't for me.

Wow. That was surprisingly really interesting. I expected a normal romance harem anime but didn't expect that ending. Things getting hot! Especially with that Amane girl!

Didn't really impress me until the ending got me intrigued. The censoring got on my nerves but I might just read the VN instead anyways.
