| Sad to learn about why Kou changed. He went through hard times by himself, and he wasn't the most positive and outgoing person to begin with either, no wonder he ended up building a wall between him and those he came in contact with. I think Kou understands that Youichi is a nice brother (as he always was), but after having to go through that pretty much along, he's changed, and so he (probably) finds it hard to interact the same he used to before with his brother. Love the talk between Futaba and Yuuri on the roof! Always great to have a heart-to-heart talk. |
| THE FEELS THIS EPISODE! Kou is probably the deepest character in this series, he had to see the person he loves the most, slowly fade away and detoriorate in pain, yet he couldn't do anything about it. That is just way too tragic, no wonder he puts on an apathetic air around him. My heart definitely wasn't ready for that. ;_; And the Yuuri scene, was so beautifully executed. The friendship between those two <3 Even with all the drama in this episode, it didn't feel like it was too much, it was just the perfect amount. All the scenes were done amazingly well. 5/5 episode |

| Fiiinally we get to know what happened ;_; Kou's personality change now makes sense more than ever.I feel really bad for him and Sensei - i also really want them to make up sometime soon as well...i mean, it's not like they are fighting and say ''im not your brother'' or w/e, but its clear that Kou makes distance between them. This is one of few anime this season i wish was 2 cour.Well, all i can hope for is that it's going to actually sell and we will get that second season soon. |

| Youichi and Kou's backstory: SO. MANY. FEELS. Damn, it was such a great, sad scene. It's hard not to feel guilty about what happened, but those two need to make things up. I think this was one of the series best episodes, even Yuuri was tolerable. The scene on the rooftop was predictable but well-executed. And despite the episode being drama-heavy, the comedy bits were killer. Futaba and Kou's expressions when Youichi arrived! Also Kou can't seem to escape studying with the rest of the gang, haha. We still need more Murao and Young Owen Wilson, tho. |

| well i didn't really gave much creit to this show in the first few episodes... but they have been getting better and imo this one was the best up till now i usually complain about unecessary drama, but i have to complement this show, cause this is very well done drama in my opinion really good job |

| Awesome episode as always! Am I the only one who reminded of the manga "Orange" after seeing this episode? Knowing that Kou's mom is dead is kinda similar to Orange's story. Awesome Kou x Futaba moment, it turned from awesome to epic in the instant Kou's brother showed up XD "Tchajaaaaaan~!"  Le epic faces *o_o* ahahahSo Kou has a sad story... I already had an idea but I wasn't expecting this :/ Lovely OSTs. dat ending :x Just love this anime. Unfortunately it is only gonna be 1 cour :/ Hoping for a second season! =D |

| I was right after all, it was all there in the last episode, it wasn't hard to guess. Now they know everything about him, it would be a lot easier to get him involved. Ofc, he is scared to like someone again. But it's only a matter of time untill he realizes he already passed the point of no return. And Futaba got already beyond his wall of defense. |
| i was kinda sad they didn't animate Touma and his friends, i know from the number of episodes they wont animate that part of the manga but i just wanted to see and hear him once! T.T too bad, maybe they make a second season. But overall it was a good episode, from now on its easy to predict where in the manga the anime will stop =) |

| I don't really know what to say for this series. It's been so mediocre for me. That's not to say the overall show has been mediocre, but I haven't been able to really get into this despite me watching all of the episodes including this one. This also being my first ever Shoujo anime, I guess maybe it was the wrong choice, or the overall genre just isn't for me. I'll definitely finish the series, but I can't really say I liked or disliked it. Kind of disappointed. |

| so many tear jerking/heart tugging scenes Nice backstory to Kou's past but kinda wish they elaborated more on it. Good rooftop scene between Futaba and Yuuri. Both of them admit their jealous feelings of each other, but ended up reconciling. |

| Good to know they didn't kiss (Kou and Yuuri), i wasn't rdy to receive such bad news xD because i want a "Futou" (Futaba + Kou) weird name :S. I'm sry about what happened to Kou's mom. That part when they almost kiss was so kawaii :33 but WHY DID HE HAVE TO APPEAR i don't understand, the creator of the anime want to play with our minds and feelings :CC. |

| Lol Kou always makes the best faces. Well anyways, they executed the reveal a lot better than I expected. I especially like how the scene between Tanaka-sensei and Futaba was handled. That really hit the mark for me. I feel like I understand the relationship between Kou and his brother a lot better here than I ever did in the manga. Tanaka-sensei was actually maybe the emotional highlight of the episode for me; the way he conveyed his feelings of fear and guilt really got through to me. I'm just glad that we've finally gotten around to having the central part of Kou's backstory revealed. It felt like we had gone way too long before reaching it, and now Futaba can really break through to him now that she knows why he is the way he is now. As for the rest of the episode, the conversation between Futaba and Yuuri at the end was overly-hammy to me, but I appreciate how honestly the characters talk it out between each other in this series in contrast to the typical two-friends-like-the-same-guy scenarios in shoujo series. Also, I flipped out at that scene in the kitchen between Kou and Futaba. Even though I was mostly sure that something wasn't going to happen here because of my knowledge of the manga, a piece of me was still somehow hoping for something to happen, haha. I really like where the anime adaptation is going now. At this rate, I'm not terribly worried about the ending, since I have a pretty strong feeling about where in the story they'll probably end on, granted that they don't go with an anime original ending. |

| Oh Futaba, thinking way too much into the matter. But anyways...What an episode; explains more into Kou's past and reconfirms the feelings between Yuuri, Futaba, Kou and Tanaka-sensei. Another episode making my day. |

| Man, they really don't drag anything out in this series, do they? I keep expecting them to drag out all the misunderstandings, but the characters...actually talk to one another! What the hell? Am I watching a shoujo here? The characters express their feelings, clear up misunderstandings, and act like real people. Kind of refreshing. Best episode to date. |
| As a manga reader of the series, I thought they did a wonderful job with revealing Kou's past. It was executed well. |

| I'd be willing to give odds that there will be a second season at least depending on how long the manga continues, since its sales are doing fine. The adaptation has been handled so well thus far I'm quite confident that they'll find a good way to give us a season's end in two weeks, hopefully with the announcement of a green-lighted second season either at the end of the final episode or shortly thereafter. But I'm an optimist...I watch shoujo romance... And yes, this episode was chock full of feels... |

| Well good thing that Futaba didn't go full yandere or something and killed them both XD. Futaba being so curious/scared of what might have happened and reading that book with pedo-bear in it was really funny lol. What a lame excuse there Futaba... I was freaking sure that his mother died and that Yuuri saw her shrine... damn I'm detective quality after all B| Awwww, Futaba's crying now T.T Tanaka-sensei... worst timing ever... He goes to his job when it's night outside... so he's a butler or an escort right? XD So we got to see more of their past and what had happened back then. Ohooo, now that's quite the reason why Yuuri didn't tell Futaba about Kou's mother. Awwww, dem feelings, those cries and dat hug :3 T.T Kou's expression in class... priceless... |

I agree, this is by far my favorite episode. I think it's because the reason for the sadness is different. Instead of the sad feelings being about romance, it was something much more darker, and realistic. death. It felt much more genuine to me. It was so mature. The car scene was executed perfectly in my opinion. You can tell that kou's brother has some guilt from not being able to be there for this mother due to his career. To make things worse, Kou doesn't also lose his mother - but also had to see her in such a fragile state in the time leading up to her death, as Kou's brother says "And he had to feel things like that every day, all by himself." A horrific double-punch of sadness. Then it wraps up with Tanaka trying to make Futaba feel better by saying that Kou is a good kid, but you can see the tears in both their eyes as they try to cover up their feelings. It didn't even really end on a positive note. It's like they were just trying to accept how horrible the situation was. And maybe that's all they can do. 11/10 episode. |

| I lol'd when Tanaka came in during Kou and Futaba's moment. Kou finally noticed that his actions have been quite embarrassing. Yuuri and Futaba cleared things out between them. There have been many tearful moments in this. In the end, it was all worth it. |
| Another great episode! I really like how closely the adaptation follows the manga. But the anime is gonna end in 2 weeks T-T. So ready for a season 2 :D . Very first Shoujo and loving it |
