| Well, realistically it was just an excuse for Luffy to not fight immediately. Which I can understand, he cold beat the brakes off of any of Arlong's allies i'm sure. Plus, Luffy just seems to be able to do the impossible when it comes to stupidity... |

| For those complaining about this not being realistic, we don't know what Luffy's body is made of. It could be made out of different material than regular human's (skin, bones etc.) due to him eating the devil fruit (maybe a "gummy" like substance (no pun intended)). But I guess I really have no idea if that's true or not, maybe over the course of the next 500+ episodes i'll find out. I think it's funny that people find a problem with that being unrealistic, but are completely fine with things like fish men. |

| Heh. Luffy getting stuck in that concrete is no surprise whatsoever. It'll be interesting to see how they get him free. Funny note: the Gum Gum fruit probably has some other effect other than just turning your body into rubber--in fact I think it's less that it turns you to rubber, more that it alters your body so it appears to be rubber. Even if he became rubber, I sincerely doubt his organs would be able to take such movement. Anyway, good episode. I've continued to be surprised and excited since the Sanji arc, so I hope it keeps up. |

| That was cheap of Arlong to do that, even though it looked like Luffy would be in a bit of trouble even if he didn't trap himself. But yeah, like the other commenter said. One Piece is now almost at 600 eps. We all know Luffy won't die here. I wonder how he'll get outta this. |

| This was much better, compared to the last few episodes at least. The way Usopp always ends up running away, he should do some workouts to increase his leg strength xD |

| That was a hilarious set up. We got one fight starting because one of the leaders insulted Nami, one started because Zoro had to save Usopp and Luffy, and one started because Usopp accidentally dropped Luffy. How can such a comedic moment be so intense at the same time?! Luffy being stuck is clearly Goku treatment to keep the best guy away until they need him in some sense, but at least this one had some comedy and uniqueness to it. It was a really cool way to do it which used the characters character traits to do it. That's how these moments should be done. Also, I wanted to mention the pinwheel attack. As creative and awesome as it was, it's really cool on an even deeper level. The implication was that Luffy learned it through watching Gen's pinwheel hat. So those earlier comedic tone shifts had a meaningful purpose even though they didn't need one, and it shows us how god darn fast Luffy is at adapting to his surroundings and finding stuff out. |

There is Kuwabara and there is Usopp in here. Let's be realistic if you can stop a canon with your teeth you must be one tough motherflipper you know what I mean? These guys are not weak. |

| It's extra nice to see that the match-ups are actually really suitable for each other with Usopp fighting long-ranged, Zoro fighting close-armed, and Sanji fighting close unarmed enemies respectively. Mermen can live both on land and water while Luffy gets the short end and gets thrown into the water while wearing cement shoes after that great attack, oof. |

| So Luffy's great problem was just he stuck his legs in the ground. However it became a real problem now. I see two possibilities though. One - Luffy can stretch his head out of the water and breath. Two - Luffy hits the stone and breaks out. However I would like to see what happens now. Usopp is really very confusing character. Once he is brave and the next moment he becomes coward. But he always comes up with great plans. Nice to see Mr. Sea-cow. Looks like his name is Momo. However the poor guy should have left then. He got really beaten. |

| Oof that punch to Arlong's face was so satisfying. Lmao Momoo was scared shitless of Luffy and Sanji. It was pretty crazy how Luffy lifted him and swung him around. But the crew sure is in a pinch now. I wonder if Nami will come to save Luffy. |

| It's hilarious to me how Sanji just starts talking about food/recipes in the middle of things. Also cool that Luffy has a 'pinwheel' move because we need to give cred to Gen-San. |

| yeah, this is bad. he could've punched the concrete under him to escape... before Arlong take care of it 🙄 1/5. not even mentioning the unreasonable time he has to spend underwater while those two fight... idk it could've be done much better 😢 I guess he can't move underwater... so he should have kept his teeth on Arlong's arm lol or at least wrap his arm available around Arlong 😜and sunk together... |
