| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Good episode. I feel like the OST of got stronger. Hinata's pretty silly and was even a little hotblooded :p The episode also felt like a calm before the storm. Hinata working stronger is something I find admirable although I think he should aim for a stronger spike. Still, I really liked the tense atmosphere going on to show what's to come later. If they adapt this right, then the wait will be worth it. There's so much potential to his character to be explored. |

| The team members don't know about his frustration and afraid of losing that he lost. Main guy doesn't mind, though. Seems like they got what each other's advantages and used their combination well 9partly thanks to Miyu-Miyu's character), though the main guy still misses sometimes. Airing 30 mins late next ep. |

| I loved this episode, Kageyama and Hinata are so good together. They've just got to believe in each other. Finding out why Kageyama was called the 'king' was quite interesting. Tsukishima is really annoying me right now. I really like how Hinata can somewhat cheer up and motivate Kageyama. The last scene was my favourite of this episode. Hinata running and switched directions and jumped. I just love how he describes 'What's the view over the other side?' and 'The view from the summit'; so elegant. :D My goodness, the OST stood out especially in the last scene. Love it <3 5/5 |

| Fellow manga readers, was this character development so apparent in the chapter? Omg I have to reread this. As a manga reader, I can tell you this is the best character dev build-up execution I can ask for! All the characters are playing the roles so well and not missing any detail, omg I have never felt so satisfied with an adaptation!! And I'm so happy that Uchimiya Kouki got to voice Tsukki, he is so amusing to listen when he plays cheeky role! |

| The net fishing. Kageyama can make really nice tosses. So they both went through a lot especially Kageyama, The last scene was great. How every time and distanced mattered to determine a successful spike over the wall. Nice to see a block compared to a mountain. To trust completely to the point of closing one's eyes! The last spikes were really amazing to watch. Tanaka should learn to read the atmosphere xD |

| Amazing! Just amazing :*) Dat character development for Tobio was brilliant :D Hinata is such a great character. The way he told Tobio "Who cares about Junior High, I'll spike any toss u toss me" So Awesome!! ^^ Tobio's skills to toss it right into Hinata's hands and Hinata's trust in him to close his eyes was so nice >.< :D Lol at getting hit on the face XD These 2 have team work that's so good! Goosebumps at the last spike and with Hinata's monologue opening his eyes seeing the view at the summit :D The OST and Animation were great as usual too :) |

| the back-and-forth b/t tsukishima and hinata dragged a lil too long for my liking, but this ep still had a few nice moments: Tanaka, Tanaka, and Hinata finally hitting the ball. |

| It's an amazing time to be a fan of sports anime. Especially with a series like Haikyuu. This show has been nailing all the big moments. And the OST is incredible. Certainly one of my top favorites of the Spring season, which is a pleasant surprise, since I didn't even know anything about it beforehand. So glad I decided to watch it. |

| I keep thinking that Tsukki is voiced by Sakurai Takahiro but it's Uchiyama Kouki. Their voices are rather similar... Good episode but I hope the pacing picks up a bit. |

| What is this epicness? i can't believe that this show is actually still getting better.Some people might say it's slow, but personally i prefer slower pace in sport anime. Great OST as well.I even might buy ED single because i absolutely love it. |

| Damn that was an excellent episode. I like how it was both emotional and funny at the same time. I give Hinata scoring major points in here. I like how he never gives up and strives to be the best volleyball player. Also that monologue at the end and his inspirational just makes it more astounding. At least we get to see why Kageyama is called the "King" in the court, but that all happen in the past. Hinata and Kagayama synced were perfect. Now it's going to be interesting when they are working together. |

| Great episode!!! I loved every single moment in it. I love the flashbacks and the talking, etc.....I don't care for the pacing there is no way we can change that, so take it for what it is. Anyway this anime is seriously becoming one of my favorites the teamwork is so inspiring. |

| This was another great episode. You just know it is when you feel sad as the end credits roll across the screen :( All the characters are doing their "bit" and I really enjoyed how Kageyama realises what his "job" is as the main centre. Will also be interesting to see how Suguwara and Kageyama compare as setters too. Hinata is idiotic and of course they had to pull the "I take everything at face value so I'm going to close my eyes even if Kageyama tosses the ball to me" sort of thing but I guess that's what makes a main character the main character. ALSO, Production IG is going a great job of adapting the manga material. It's not following it exactly but I can't say the changes are bad either :D |
