| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Episode pre-aired on Nico Nico. Wow, that was pretty interesting. There's a lot of mysteries going on and the world seems to be abnormal by the state of things. We are introduced to most of the main characters. The atmosphere has a mysterious vibe to it while mecha already makes their debut. Yup, definitely has potential. Oh and I really like that background music in the episode, has somewhat of a similar vibe to Captain Earth. That mecha at the end is quite something. |

| The music for the OP and ED were in place but instead of animation they showed what stations the show will be on and airing dates. Interesting start. Not in love with the character designs but the premise, 'monsters' and mecha are interesting. The final scene was enough to catch my attention for sure... only problem is episode 2 isn't on for 2 weeks now... |
| Was definitely more cheery than I was expecting from the trailers. It looked really dark from the previews, but a good part of this was in a school setting, along with some humorous training sessions. Despite being a bit lighthearted, it looked good. Just not the type of show I was expecting. |

| It doesn't come out officially for almost another week. I suspect Crunchyroll will get this as they still have a box left to fill. Hopefully they announce it soon. |

Everything has been done somewhere at some time, I've been trying to explain this to people on here but no one seems to get it. For the most part, I've found, that people expect every new series that comes out to be this incredible original masterpiece that uses no cliches or formulas, has state of the art graphics and animation, and all of the top VAs. If it isn't what I just described it's utter crap and cannot be good no matter what they do or how it's made. |

If they execute it well, use good characters, actors and music then it can be very good. For the story however, prepare to be not surprised. | The beginning reminded me of the place where Ryuk from Death Note came from.. :D Then it started to remind me of Bokurano for a second.. Then it started to remind me of some mecha anime that i havent seen but im sure that exists.. Oh and then it became Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui! xD lol Then the freaking Infinite Stratos when the 2 robots appeared Well.. As some of you have said, it sure comes down to the execution. Actually you can create an original anime if you just take some kind of unique environment for example (Gin no Saji for instance). It's not that hard, but people dont like to come up with anything new.. But i hope this anime gets better. Really like the character darkish- eyes. That one female character with long hair is annoying as hell, though. |

Can a group of eight boys and girls gathered in an effort to combat the Admonitions see the light of the future beyond the Lightless Realm, while their past destinies and dangerous present intertwine in a complicated web? M3 that dark metal is directed by Junichi Sato (Sailor Moon, Kaleido Star, Sgt. Frog) at the studio Satelight (Macross Frontier, Bodacious Space Pirates). | It was not bad, even though I don't like robot anime. And I became to like the cleaning woman. She made an effort to start her new life. But she was just a little spinning her wheels.. Hahaha. |

| I personally wasn't all that impressed. As far as mecha goes it was pretty weak. Definitely needs a few episodes to express what kind of story it wants to tell because I didn't find this episode setting any kind of pace, just tone. So, will see how it plays out and hopefully it becomes more entertaining to watch. |
| The slice of life/magic director, weird choice o.o. This could be interesting, the mysterious dreamlike world of them as a child in the light-less world and of the corpse too. The first Admonition to be killed had to be a mother. :( Let see how did would go! Junichi, I believe in you! |

| Hmmm...not what I expected but not bad. Emiru is one annoying woman though -.- Lol'd at Akashi "asking his [Brother's wife?] if she's sexually frustrated XDXD Mamho's got some nice Oppai there when she was trying to dodge the balls XD Dat bounce hahaha. And Aka Unko hahaha. The corpse thing and the song are interesting. Well, I'll need to see more to judge but so far watchable. |

| I actually enjoyed it mostly, but i think this show would be better if their were not any mechas, which is a bit contradictory, but the the atmosphere and music is good but the mecha theme does not really go along with it so well. either way, still going to give it a shot. |

| script, mood and music were very nice. that "mother" scene or whatever it was, rather creepy so good work here. but it would have been much better without those mechas - they just don't fit here. |

| Okay. Didn't really match my high expectations, but I enjoyed it overall. I don't think the comedy works at all (if you noticed they tried to throw in red poop jokes? idk) Not really liking the cast yet... Pigtails is clingy although I'm pretty sure she'll be the character with the most development like Chisaki from Nagiasu. Ponytail is the tomboy of the group and is probably going to die later on. The quiet girl probably has hidden potential and will become more likable later. Headband guy will most like be the Kaname/Mamoru (Nagiasu/SSY) and will not have that much development. But yeah, I'm pretty sure episode 1 will be one of the weaker episodes and the rest will blow my mind or something. At least, the potential is there. | I guess I'm the odd one out here when I say I really loved that :P. The creature simply going after the pendant, rather than trying to kill people, the corpse song, the characters, etc. It all worked well for me. Can't wait for the next episode! |

It's not similar to 2007's animation either... probably 2010/2011, since the animation/art are really similar to Hyouka's.
