What do you think of people that refuse to watch shows that came out before the 2007/2010s because of "old art" or low res?

Do you think they are ignorant and are missing out of some of the big greats or do you think everything old is just meh?

I personally think that alteast one good show from every decade they should watch, i know some people cant stand old art, but like really, give every era a chance atleast... Theres good and bad in every era, and simple art in old shows isnt one of the bads of it imo.

Dated artwork is an admissible complaint.

I think people should be open to watching anime from many different eras. Artwork alone isn't the only thing that makes a show. Still, you shouldn't force something on people if they don't want it, but they are missing out on some amazing stuff.

Surprised you are usin the date 2007 though. Most of the time when people think aged art they think pre 2000s or something.
2007 is kinda new and I don't hear people complaining about older series such as Death Note (2006-2007).

EDIT:
Sometimes older artwork can look better than a lot of newer artwork. This is from a show that started in the 90s:

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Old art is superior anyway. Animation not so much, but well, you can't have everything.
I probably regret this post by now.

Yes, they are missing out, just like people who refuse to read great literature because the book has no pictures or uses a lot of big words.

While I love the detail that is put into many modern animes, simplicity can be a beautiful thing as well.

And since I have a really slow internet connection, I rarely watch anything, even modern stuff, in high resolution, HD, BD, or whatever. To me, entertainment value > production values.

I've seen requests for recs that even set 2010 as the cutoff date. And not only once.

90s was never the best enconomic fact the golden age of post war Japan was the 1970 to 1991-2 thus the golden age anime was that time too

I know some people who are like this, it really just comes down to preference. That being said, if old artwork is the only reason for someone not to watch something like Cowboy Bebop or Trigun, then I guess it sucks for them?

I think they ate a lot of lead paint chips as a kid.

I personally am more concerned with whether the story is good than how the animation looks and I've seen a lot of older stuff that was really great. Although, I sill prefer keeping up with newer animation over looking up old stuff.

I think anime is an entertainment medium and everyone is allowed to enjoy it in whatever way they feel they get the most out of. You know, the entire goal and reason anime exists for.

Anyone who calls them names and such is just an ignorant brat who wants to play pretend-elitist.

Close-minded, while you could claim is 'name-calling' is something I'd agree with though. Anyone refusing to try somewhat different things from what they are accustomed to is someone ruining that thing for themselves, and I hate to see that happen in things like anime or games.

I prefer newer animation simply for the crisp clean lines, sharp colours and varied palettes and I don't think I'm missing out on anything by giving things which don't visually appeal to me a miss.

That said I'm not sure I consider 2007 old, probably more like pre 2000ish.
