| Reminds me of AnoNatsu with the whole love pentagon thing, though I hope it deals with it in a more effective way. The characters are all kind of childish with defining stereotypes, but I'll cope. Actually, I was pleasantly suprised. Hope to see some serious development considering it's a two cour (first two-cour show by P.A. since Hanasaku Iroha in 2011). The ending song was great. |

| I can guess where this is going already.. most likely about how Manaka can never be with that pretty boy because sea people apparently can't stay in the surface for too long (and the discrimination and stuffs) and that Uroko God is probably going to be like Ursula granting the little mermaid (Manaka) her wish to be with pretty boy.. Hikari is way too rough and annoying, his treatment towards Manaka is too abusive and he expects her to love him? unless Manaka is masochistic like Saito from ZnT that's not gonna happen. Other than that, it seems to be shaping up as lovely series. The artwork and music are top notch as expected of P.A. Works. Any series with Kana Hanazawa and Ai Kayano can never go wrong. It really reminds of Hanasaku Iroha. |

| Hikari comes off as a jerk, hopefully we get a backstory on why. Looks beautiful and the setting is interesting but the plot seems rather like your typical love-triangle drama. I'll watch it up to at least halfway. |

| Wow, don't know why but has some amazing Anohana feels, like I can keep watching Anohana from where it lstopped. Anyway, good episode already liking this ep, not sure how his father drinks sake underwater but anyway, think this might be the best first ep so far this season. Looking forward to next week. |

| So it wasn't only me who felt this series resembling ShinSekai Yori. Taken a liking to P.A. works, and this one with no doubt feels interesting like some of the other works I've seen before. I hope it'll turn out to be a good show. |
| Finally, The show which i've been waiting for about 3 months. Good Start. It was somehow interesting though it didn't live up to my expectations. Apart From That, I ACTUALLY LOVE THE FACT THAT THERE'S A SHOW WITH THE THEME OF A LOVE TRIANGLE/POLYGON in it. I'm so happy right now that i was finally given the chance to watch a show like Ano Natsu. I Hope it gets better and FOR THOSE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT anything in general, just fuck off. No one's forcing you to so if you don't like this show, then don't even start watching it. |
| Must say that this anime defiantly kept my interest the whole way through Dunno how I feel about Tsumugu, his coming on a bit to strong for my liking. I do like Hiradaira the most so far, will be interesting to see how the rest of this goes. Looking forward to it :D |

I don't think it's easy to base characters off of one eps. I think when characters have issues it gives them time to grow through out the series and have a good understanding of overcoming those issues! I am a sucker for a good fantasy!! I think this may be one of my fav's this season we will have to see!! I'm excited. I loved how they created a level of mythology to go along with the story as well!!! Well, it's more of a hope in my case because the first episode was incredibly boring and the characters seem cliche as hell (childish girl who you can't stop thinking just why the heck everybody would want to hit on that, arrogant childhood friend that will proclaim his love to aforementioned gal by bullying her, calling her names and being a complete prick to his more empathic rival, etc.) but hey, it's only the first episode. Let me see if it gets better. |
| the underwater animation where freaking amazing. so far i like what i see, they've semi-established the pace of the show by showing the emotional problem in the first episode which give the characters time to grow as the show goes on and build on a foundation that has been set for em. cant wait till the next episode |
| well. dont really know what to say it was animated pretty amazingly, and the underwater scenes were pretty fantastic for a tv series but its one hell of a weird show. ill give this a 3 ep rule, see how it goes |

| Really good show. Too bad Burikis amazing character designs got butchered by PA Works incompetence... Still you see they are his. Really looking forward to more of this. Also someone made a comparison to SSY and I agree, but mostly because of the music and the fantasy. I wonder if the soundtrack is by the same guy/girl. |

| This has a great plot, animation, OST and animation. The character design looks cute to me and the voice of Ryouta sounds awesome. and the OP & ED sounds relaxing to hear. The characters seems to be a 5th grade to me. Great first episode, looking forward for more episodes. |

| Love the setting and the dynamic between the sea humans and surface humans. However, I have my own issues with the main cast and how the drama between them is executed. Lots of "Huh" moments but I'll see how things go before deciding anything. They didn't make as much of a good impression as P.A Works last show ,Eccentric Family, to say the least |

But given the fact that I already dislike Manaka and am not overly fond of Hikari as well, I'm just gonna root for Chii and surface-boy in this love-triangle constellation. Still I hope the interactions later on make me lass angry at the characters. Though the anger could be useful if they handle it right. The show definitely wins the award for setting of the season though, at least for me it does. |

Okay, I kinda mixed things up, Golden Time was actually the anime that people called NTR on the forums (which is ridiculous), but here it actually applies a little depending on where it goes from now. | The concept is pretty interesting and unique! The graphics are kind of weird, but it's still beautiful. What's bothering me is the fact that there is no bubbles under the sea (like you know, in spongebob............ ... .) Love triangles in the first ep, great. OP and ED are ok I guess. This is pretty interesting. |

| i can tell that this love thing is going to give me a lot of pain. the animation is superb tho and i actually do like the characters (not having too many problems with manaka's crybaby character and hikari is lacking a bit imo but im p sure that somebody will teach him a lesson about how to properly treat his crush sooner or later), yet i am not too eager to go through watching this for 26 long weeks. depends on the plot though, so i will watch another 2 or 3 episodes first before i will decide whether i lay the anime off until it's finished to marathon it all in one go or keep watching it weekly. |

| I didn't like the characters. They are kind of unappealing. But still, this is only the first episode and maybe we'll get some nice character development. The rest of the anime (songs, art...) is awesomely beautiful. |

| Another boring generic school kids romance anime. Those 24 minutes felt like an hour because of the boring dialog. The plot is pure crap, people live under the sea, and girl has fish in her knees ?! There is many good animes this fall, so there is no reason for me to watch this crap. |
