Omg I love this series so much!! Would be amazing, but needs more work on the story and better boss monsters and such, so there would be an actual challenge. But, either way, they're just starting off in the game so I guess, shikatanai na.

I found this episode a bit boring. Just action with some random flashbacks to the past. I'm not an SAO fan by any means, but I'd prefer LH to step it up in terms of animation because it's the one thing it's lacking in right now. But obviously, I'll keep watching.

Yes, this. They need to start introducing a "but there's this thing going on" to the main plot which is just traveling to the other place to save the maid girl.

This is definitely one of my topanimethis season. The atmosphere this episode is good. A little flashback of Shiroe in his early days at playing Elder Tale is make me apreciate this more.

It look like little by little the member of Debauchery Tea Party make an appearance in the screen. And it seems that some kind of alliance will will be made at the Cresent Moon Alliance.

What is the purpose of maid skill anyway lol.

Ok then, I expect great things from this.
It was simple and funny, with a overall of good action. It was also nice to see the members of the Debauchery Tea Party, at least a part of them.
Furthermore, more backstory is always good.

You know what? I am enjoying this anime!

The "People Of the Land" thing, though.... there seem to be PKers who are enslaving the NPCs.... but are the NPCs in this world, real people? They have emotions, at least.

What will happen next... I'm excited!!!!

Except she never really seemed all that young to begin with. This is anime, so it's always quite hard to tell, but her facial features aren't particularly round or anything (just compare a good shot of her face with one of Serara's), and in the way she speaks and thinks, she sounds pretty mature and autonomous (if you get past the hardcore role player stuff... though even that contributes to show she is certainly no kid, what with being able to invest herself in a consistent role 24/7 and all.) Again for the personality, just compare with what we have seen of Serara so far (who definitely looks like a kid in my eyes, if that wasn't clear already).

So, yeah... Only thing going against her was her size (and even on that field, she hasn't quite the proportions you'd expect of a little girl).

But then again, seems like the characters actually believed her to be a child in-universe, so I wonder why I'm rambling here... Just don't mind me. ^^'

Great episode!!
I understand Shiroe, it's good that you're a dependable person and people rely on you for help, but after a while and they constantly ask for your help, it's a pain in the ass...

I liked the glimpse into the MCs past even thought it was kinda clichéd. The rest of the episode was also decent but I'm somehow less enthusiastic than I was about the first two episodes. The new villain doesn't look too interesting which might be the reason for that.

The brief glimpse of his past, and his experience with helping people was a nice way to explain his reluctance in helping Serara in the earlier episode. It probably brought back that annoying feeling of possibly being used by others.

I know its been done often enough, with having this kind of mysterious past for the MC, mainly this legendary group of people, but its been enough of a hook to keep me interested in finding out what happened, and what will happen. I also heard that apparently
Definitely looking forward to see how that would come about.

Still enjoying the series so far, This is a series that I would have preferred marathoning from start to end, but ah well...

Of course one great advantage to an assassin would be to have people take you lightly because you appear to be a child. (In the old AD&D days, they always disregarded the abilities of us halflings...only to realize too late just what we could do, bwahaha...). Regardless of her appearance though, I think her interest in Shiroe is more than just game-play. I'm also wondering about the former leader of the Tea Party, and just what connection he had with her.

I found the flashback with the tea party rllllyyy interesting. It was really cool to see the other types of members he grouped with in the past and hope to see deeper connections with them as the series progresses =P

Nyata definitely a member of the tea party, as they showed it in that flashback + his level 90 appearance xD Really wanna see him and shiroe interact.

I also found it interesting how ingredients retained the same 'flavor' as in real life... You would think they would just be flavored as one type of 'spice,' but that was pretty interesting - as a side note o.o

Liking Shiroe as the main character, the dude isn't overpowered. His class's designed to be played as a more supportive role and he uses it perfectly. I wonder how he's gonna take it to the next level, without falling into the "oops, overpowered final spell which is a goddamn fireball of doom" crowd.

This is like a side quest in the main plot of things. If you recall, Shiroe said that in a world with no punishment or penalty, there really feels like there isn't anything exciting to do. He took on this mission to fill that void with adventure and excitement versus just laying around depressed like some of the players were at the start. It works out too as this way they might be able to find answers to their questions on this adventure since they're not going to figure out shit by just staying at the same place all day.

Unlikely about the size. Shiroe mentioned that his avatar was just a little taller than him and he was having trouble adapting. Akatsuki prolly chose this size because it's way closer to her actual size IRL. And it's not that uncommon to find fully grown japanese women in hand baggage size (like ~145cm)

Fuck knows, it's an anime after all.

The first 3 episodes of log horizon I would argue have less impact, less of a sense of scale and epicness than the first 3 episodes of SAO. But SAO went to shit pretty quickly after that. It remains to be seen whether or not Log Horizon will do the same.

I'm a little concerned about the overall direction that the show will go in... it doesn't seem too concerned over the mystery of how it all happened, and it's even lampshaded that nobody knows what to do. There's no overarching goal or objective, and I'm not really sure if it will work as a "slice of life"... And besides, just watching somebody else play an MMO is not that great. Even SAO knew that.

At this point, it's far too early to judge. All you can say is that similarities aside, it is a different flavor from SAO.

Don't forget that Shiroe is actually shorter than his chara, what if IRL Akatsuki is taller than Shiroe, lol. I imagined her to be around Oda Raika type.

It's kinda funny also, why people comparing this to SAO only, while the premise or settings is actually closer to .Hack//roots. Meh.

Well, the boss was "grey" to them anyways, short of vanity items (if they exist in this game), all items he could drop would be vendor trash anyways.
