| Finally it was subbed, That was a long wait. Great episode, Badr was an awesome Dad. Sad he died as just another person in the war :( Those villagers were a real stupid bunch. Sinbad was quite the reckless kid xD |

| Kind of a lame first episode, I expected a bit more of Magi. The story is kinda overused by now... I'll give it a 5/10 for now, I already kind of know what's gonna happen in the latter episodes because of the OVA. Well let's see.... |

| The OP singer sounds so nasal and he seems to be messing up at the start when he says "tomaru--" His low notes sound strangely nice but high ones are super nasally. The song is kinda okay. What horrible people. There were so much wrong with the way they acted around Badr. First, he was a hero. That's not how you treat your heroes. Second, his leg. He has a disability. If he isn't participating in war, they could at least let it go based no that. Third, what he does is his own privacy. I think I like Sin's dad more than him tbh. Lol I laugh whenever they make haircolor an issue in anime. "oh ye, let's ignore mine and my dad's hair color is purple, it's all about dem blonde hair. 2rare4me" I know different countries may have different variety of hair even in anime, but still it makes me laugh. Badr really is cool! Wow. He harbored a spy BUT he also killed him. No thanks for that? These should cancel each other out, at least earn him less punishment, but no. People in the past sure were messed up. In the end, they got called traitors. I hate everyone in their village and pretty much everyone except Sin's family. Damn them all, such filth. They only know how to talk, but no action. That's why I don't like mobs, they are just sorta there. Always doing what they see others doing, and not having a mind of their own. Meh. RIP Badr, you were the best character in this series besides Morgiana, Masrur and Kou. Also, the ED is nice! I have a feeling they are gonna readapt stuff from the OVAs, but this time with more detail. That will continue for at least half of the season, I guess. |

They just literally showed me those three/four important people in the beginning and i'm like "Wut????" they were talking about Sinbad as if a god just has descended to earth LOL i really like this episode tbh. done perfectly imo. it was predictable that his father will die but it was kinda emotional. i wonder what will happen to his mother. looking foward for the next episode. |

| I still remember when I first read Magi years ago and when Sinbad no Bouken's manga first came out. I loved that the author gave us a story behind Sinbad as he was always my favorite character in the series. Now years later, a full (short though) animation is out for it! There were OVA's but they were short and didn't show much. So far I like how the animation is portraying the original manga and I love the opening and endings! |

I just think they would be milking a great story like Magi. But maybe if there are special chapters in this spin off series that tell us of what happened to his father or just his backstory a lot of fans of this series would appreciate it. |
