An excellent episode once again. Mushishi never fails to amaze me. Infact, this was probably one of my most liked Mushishi episodes yet.

wow.... just, wow....

Such a beautiful episode; While the message that is brought in this chapter is not rare to our ears (to not be trapped in our past and to live by looking forward), but the way it handled the message and conveyed it through the use of time loop is simply amazing. Definitely the best episode I've seen this week.

This episode, I LIKE IT!!

HOW TO SAVE ANIME IN THREE SIMPLE STEPS

  1. To have Mars of Destruction, Skelter Heaven, and Pupa properly adapted in TV series form by Madhouse
  2. To have Inferno Cop properly adapted in TV series form by Bones, director: Urobuchi Gen
  3. An anime crossover of Mushishi x ARIA x Haibane Renmei.

Should even one of the above conditions cannot be done, anime is still at risk.

Very beautiful episode. I've said it before, but for a calming, soothing and often bitter-sweet experience, this anime tops everything else.

I didn't know what people see in this series until this episode.
It was... sad and little depressing. It gave some information about people. They don't listen good advice, they just want the best for them. Can't wait until next episode.

Exactly. How come such a beautiful piece like this Mushishi isn't so well known? :/

Wow that was...gah. It was incredibly sweet (when he hugged his wife after turning away from the tunnel) but so depressing and terrifying at the same time. Imagine if one had a shitty life then had to re-live it over and over again. Guy's lucky to have such a wonderful family.

Great episode. This season of Mushishi has had a very powerful start.

I always find time loop stories, like Groundhog Day or All You Need Is Kill interesting, so I enjoyed this episode. The ending left me wanting more though... Did he manage to avert the accident? Did the tunnel absorb him? Or did he change his past, so that he had never met his wife?

Kaoru's endless loop was quite deep for just a mere 20 minutes
It's ofcourse somewhat similar to "Groundhogday" or "Endless Eight"
Though being afraid to loose his precious wife he eventually brought her in as well which is quite tragic

He is trapped inside the loop but doesn't seem to be able to realize it since the mushi has become one with him (note that Ginko said that he shouldn't enter the tunnel again otherwise he'll become one with the mushi), while his wife is in the state where she know and realize that she's experiencing the loop (just like her husband before). Possibly, he averted the accident, since the accident took place after he decided not to go to the circle again. But the cost of that is that he and his wife probably will be trapped in that loop. At least that what I understand. I could be wrong though.

I really wanted to see them interact with Ginko again at the end of the episode, but this way it's even darker. The circle is broken, but the time loop continues on. I have high hopes for the last season, and this was a great episode.

I'm at a loss for words...

I never thought I would see Mushishi build such a captivating story in just 20 minutes.

Kaoru's wife almost died so he brought her through the time loop mushi. Does that mean that Kaoru's wife will keep dying over and over again? Wow! This is some serious Steins;Gate shit!

Fantastic episode! Mushishi Zoku Shou's 2nd Season has been on a roll. I believe it has the potential to be better than both seasons at this rate. I'm ashamed that Mushishi Zoku Shou has less than a quarter of the amount of members as the original Mushishi.

Hmmm. I wonder if the ending really was tragic. I mean, yeah they're stuck in an endless loop, but it's not a bad loop to be stuck in. I dunno, I find the ending to be oddly romantic.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

Excellent episode. I've commented on this format many times before but how the mushi live and the way it brings out human instinct is really what makes this fun to watch. The plot was predictable but I don't think it made the impact any less. I liked the BGM as usual too.

One of the darkest episodes so far. Loops are terrifying. Ginko's last repeated words, the shot of the rain and the final music, all in combination resulted in a really unsettling sequence. One of the reasons why I love Mushishi so much.

He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

When Kaoru hugged Iku and said, "From now on, I'll be seeing a new day, every day," I got chills. I thought it was going to have a blissful yet poignant ending and that was that. Then the last 5 minutes happens... ;_;

These kinds of open endings are cruel! But the way it ended with the final scene being Ginko showing up at their house for shelter... so perfect. I admit, just a few tears welled up in my eyes during the credits.
