| If you had played the game, you would have know they rush the hell of out the plot to get the battle royal setting. They basically compress 3-4 hours of plot into 25 minuets. Tons of Character development and game contents got cut out for instant quick drama. I recommend anyone who is interested from this episode to just watch the walk through on youtube before continuing watching the anime. Don't worry, there are no repetitive battles or grinding, this game is mostly just a mystery graphic novel. |

They covered about 35 minutes worth of stuff in about 25, This isnt like battle royale 4 hours of the game is not 1/3th the 1st chapter, 4 hours is like 1/2 of the game I'm questioning if YOU even played/read the game |

My bad though. Everyone has a right to have a different opinion, no questions there. But having wrong info about something is a wrong opinion. It's a bit unfair to judge this show just because of the first episode. Stick to it till the end and then say it's crap, thats what I'm saying. |

| That was bad. No hope for game animations now. Persona 4 + Devil Survivor. Now this. Maybe it's the artwork or their facial expressions. But I just can't get into it without being bored out of my mind. I will watch the next episode though, but I'm not too hopeful. |

| Hm, I am kinda confused with all these characters. It will take some time to remember them. Other than that, I really enjoyed it. Since I love survival settings, I might check out the game as well. |
| First of I didn't play the game and watched this because the synopsis sounded kinda interesting. I thought it was an OK episode overall. The MC is pretty annoying and generic though, and the huge cast of characters does noting for me so far. This has the potential to be a very good anime, unfortunatly I'm getting a Devil Survivor 2 vibe watching this. Will keep watching for now hopeing it gets better. |

Anyhow, kinda hoping the show would start killing off the characters, since we probably won't know them among the vast cast, monokuma is my favorite character so far. |

| I just learned a few minutes ago that Dangan Ronpa is having an adaptation. I was both surprised and excited so I immediately watched it. They made a smart choice in what scenes to retain, remove and modify given that it is a visual novel under the mystery category; it is packed with details. Obviously, it was rushed (on par with the speed of light) but the important bits are there so no complains about that. But all in all, it is an interesting episode. The cliched characters and the typical weak-looking MC is just the tip of the iceberg, drop it, and you will miss a lot. Btw, Monokuma is just as adorable as ever lol. |

| My friends been bugging me to checkout this game because it's supposed to be a cross between ace attorney and persona (games which i love), and now i'm interested to check out the game for sure! |
| Well honestly, I find it more interesting than the average school or comedy series. you can tell it's really just like a game show, so I won't really expect anything like a story. Also, the characters, while they each have their own specialty which is great in variety, don't seem that great, but maybe because it was a game. The music is also interesting, it seems a little different somehow, but I don't know. So all this episode did was introduce the setting and characters (they really did just pour all the characters onto the us, haha), but at least by the end the tension is already seen to start building. And for some reason, this reminded me of Gantz. And that bear is really weird and has a weird voice too. So with all that said, I'm kind of excited for this series since it's a horror, game series, something different that doesn't come out too often. |

| Mhmm, it wasn't bad as I first thought when I saw trailers and posters :) It actually has some dense atmosphere and the fact that they are poised to killed each other is alluring. I wonder who will die first. And those cameras around - it really is like mix of reality show with battle royale - perfectly my cup of tea. But something is fishy - if one kills another two persons would leave the game. Hmmm. I guess there would be some twist to it. Only bad thing is that there was too many characters to remember in 20 minutes but I guess this will get better and better with coming eps. Almost makes me wanna play the game but I don't have a Playstation. |

| Naegi is voiced by the same seiyuu as Shinji from Evangelion. :o And Togami with the same one as Kagari from Psycho-Pass, which I'm also watching. And Kaworu and Hakkai! Dang. I won't be able to stop hearing them when I listen. I just had to look Fujisaki Chihiro up because I thought her voice sounded funny Why doesn't Naegi have a black eye or fat lip from that punch. So many familiar voices! Teddie! If the fridge is refilled daily, doesn't that mean someone is bringing it in somewhere? "It is not the strong or the smart that survive, but the ones who can bring about change." Interesting saying. A killer isn't going to follow that night time rule. >.> |
