| Good to see that Mugi isn't as dense as I (or maybe we) thought he was. Interesting how despite knowing Akane's true nature, he is still attracted to her. Akane and her little "tricks" (such as dropping the pencil, and that icing on her finger) are just hilarious LOL I love how manipulative she tries to be. It's a nice twist to see how scum each character, and even in spite of that, we can't help but sympathize with them. Welp, that Kanai guy is just an ignorant victim in all this so it sucks for him, not that we care tho. Oh yeah, and when he called Akane "Hana" I couldn't help but die of laughter because of how lame that was hahah I can't help but agree with the way Akane thinks of him (though I feel really bad for saying that, but then again you can't really blame me since throughout this anime, we're constantly witnessing the boldness of each character shown by them fulfilling their desires). |

| I think it's kinda of stupid Hanabi's obsession with the teacher, most times we never have the person we want...So Mugi still fucking with the senpai, he seems like he could forget the teacher easily...he even said to Hanabi to them to date... | I don't agree that the main characters are falling in love with each other. I think what happened in this episode is that they are still trying desperately to fill the void inside themselves, and have realized that their fake relationship is still not enough to make the pain stop. That's why Hanabi is pushing Mugi to go all the way despite not being ready, and why Mugi is asking her to make the relationship real despite still being stuck on two different ladies. Neither of them really mean it, they are just desperate. I don't believe this anime will end on a happy note; not when it's a study on unrequited love. Just as the title for Scum's Wish depicts, unrequited love can be a lot about self-hate, wishing for something but knowing you're not deserving of it. I'm sure others will come up with a different interpretation based on their own experiences with love- this one is just my own. |

| Ok what the actual fuck is wrong with everyone in this show? If the goal was to write rancid people all around then kudos to the author! (I guess it's in the name "Scum" lol) Everyone is insufferable, either because absolute human trash (god that teacher bitch is an awful person) or total wimps like the teacher guy. He's just so awfully oblivious and slow when it comes to her. Can't you see she's out of your league? Can't you see she's toying with you? Can't you see she slips backhanded comments about you when drunk? Are you so clueless you can't pick up on these subtle cues that should let you in on how little she cares about you? You're such a nobody to her that she doesn't even feel any danger in getting carelessly drunk in your presence, and not in a good sort of way! It is one thing when a woman feels safe around you and a completely different thing when she feels like she can trample on top of you like you're nothing. And she kissed him to keep the fun going, yet brother is so inept when it comes to such innuendos that she had to pursue him with mind tricks into sleeping with her... these memories will hit him like a truck once he matures a bit more and realizes some chick led him on and used him for fun like some worthless rag to entertain her. As for the rest of the characters, a bunch of broken people using sex to feel better, sleeping around with whoever to replace some void that funnily enough never gets replaced, almost as if sex isn't the cure for that lack of intimacy you crave or traumatic past or beliefs you hold?? This is all just wrong, pursue a hobby or talk to a therapist, or meditate or something, goodness me... The moral of this show's characters so far was "Doing this is bad... LET ME DO MORE OF IT!". Like let's absolutely throw all logic out the window! :D Oh and the show's writing is also inconsistent, in a "let's piss off the viewers" sort of way. One moment the characters seem to want to go all in with their proclivities, then in the next scene they are pure angels crying or saying that's too far or whatever, like they got bipolar or borderline or something... And Hana is ALWAYS tearing up, like has she ever NOT cried in a bed scene? (I didn't actually check but almost every time she seemed to tear up lol) |
