3rd Season??....this has adapted past the manga which I'm keeping up with but there is a light novel. Does anyone know how far the novel is and if it is finished or not?
Also this episode was sort of enjoyable but rushed and random. King of Salt...lol did not see that coming.
Also I don't get what Krul did/was doing/trying to do? And what is Ferid trying to do? He doesn't seem to be the type to be satisfied with just a mere power struggle. I'm confused -.-.

lol talk about salt...

Poor Krul, I was wondering how is she doing right now if she's in the prison.
Sad for Guren that he has not woken up yet. Still possessed by demon

And glad that Mika was really really with them now but i believe he suppose to do something. Dunno wat Krul was telling him about

Somehow I'm not satisfied with the ending, but looking forward if there will be season 3. Also, if I have time, I will read the manga.

Episode was highly entertaining but damn, so many questions...I'd particularly like to know what's up with possessed Guren. Didn't Miharu make a deal with Krul which seemed surprised at what's happening? Why is she siding with Kureto. Or does the possession work in some other way...

Overall though, I personally loved this season(or 2nd cour). The battles were intense, the soundtrack was on-point and the plotting between the various factions were interesting to spice things up although I wish we'd have gotten more from the vampire side - Ferid was largely missing for most of this season. Though if there's ever a 3rd season(who knows how long will that take assuming we get one...), we'll prolly get to see more from the vamp side. Ferid & Crowley are just entertaining antagonists.

Not sure what to think of this season. Most of the cast especially the Hiragi Squad just exist as plot devices for Yuu to channel his whole friendship/family lines.

This is especially true for Shinoa, I liked her sarcastic character in S1 but in S2 she just feels so sidelined. Perhaps it was cause the arc was supposed to be more serious, But then again apart from Yuu no one else got much action.

The transpired events also felt absolutely random to me,
Horn? Angel? Demon coming out of an Angel?Owari no Seraph?Salt King?

Yuu once again gets a random Deus ex power-up and saves the day xD
Krul was taken down so easily as well, Did not expect that.

What exactly are the Humans/Vampires trying to do?

Now we have an open ending with the squad going to take on the demon army, It's raining boys.

The light novel and the manga have not finished yet.

The seraph's arc is begining... we have to discover 5 seraphs more!!

Maybe the s3 will be aired on july 2016 or october... I hope they won't end the anime with exclusive OAV/OAD. I just hate it.

That was a mess.

That's what they get for rushing the last two episodes. This fight should've easily been dragged out for a full episode. Would've helped dilute the clusterfuck.

Basically everything that happened up till Yuu blew the horn was anime original. I believe in the manga they see Mirai pop out of the container, Yuu gets stabbed by Guren, and then Yuu while unconscious has that scene with Asuramaru. They didn't wait for some giant hammerhead shark monster to be spawned and Yuu didn't stab himself.

Everything just kind of felt like a mess. Yuu was able to become a full angel and ripped up "5th horn angel" like it was nothing. But then he somehow must've used up all of his unfathomable angel powers since he only got one hit on Kureto.

Krul who is a top tier progenitor and a vampire herself breaks Crowley's neck even though she should know it wouldn't kill him. And somehow even though she's a top tier queen she doesn't have the reflexes nor strength to stop Ferid from getting her.

And of course then the other progenitor leader decides to show up just as Ferid takes charge.

Now Kureto and Guren are buddy buddy with new powerup villain jackets, and that conversation between Yuu's group at the end seemed to imply that the Demon Army took over the underground vampire city that Yuu ran from when he was a kid.

A few people already mentioned this, but yea they really did overdo it with the whole Guren being possessed thing. The whole idea of it was that Guren's body basically housed two separate personalities that had their own agenda. Kureto was also well aware of this since Mahiro-Guren was working with him. The whole idea of him being possessed was supposed to be subtle, because it's been implied that Guren has switched back and fourth already during the times he treats Yuu and the group differently and it's supposed to be impossible to distinguish which is which (unless you already know).

In about 10 days, those of us that read the manga will know how much of this is an anime original ending. I will reserve my judgement until then.

Yea, basically this. I really need to see what changes they make and what they stick with in the next 2-3 manga chapters. The manga will also pace things better so everything that happened in this fucking pileup will be better explained.

So true. For how much they hyped up the fact that Yuu and Kimizuki shouldn't have those manifestation powers since they're a possession type users, those powers really didn't do jack shit.

Probably, but not for a long time. Like a LONG time. They covered all the material and then some. There is literally negative material left to adapt because the anime jumped ahead.

Since they basically did the same thing as they did with AoT, I'm gonna guess roughly 3 years with an announcement sometime in year 2.

Darn you,Cliffhangers!!! Well, that is all folks, we caught up to the manga and it will probably take a couple of years in order to receive season 3 of Owari no Seraph. Anyways in this episode, my nerdy side started some researching about the Seven Trumpets and... There is no King of Salt.. Just saying. However, the fifth trumpet is correct about Abbadon and all his minions causing mayhem in the world. The sad thing would probably be Vampire Loli Queen, why is life so krul?

Anyways, I enjoyed this series and it had some notable fight scenes which were perfectly executed. However, the two things that I would complain is the placements of OST's and some lack of artistic skills in some scenes. I am being serious, some of the characters looked like a deformed Gingerbread man that I tried to bake this morning. The plot is above average, but the fights make it worth it after all. I wish they brought back the first outro song though lol.. Final Score: 7.5/10-8/10 (This is like My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, anime style)

I thoroughly enjoyed this season!

I love how the LN/Manga readers are complaining about the ending, but yet they have nothing to even compare it to yet.

I really liked how Mika and Narumi became a part of the team. Hopefully we will see a third season some day when there is more material to the story!

This season was just as enjoyable as the first so an 8/10 from me!
So glad that I'm not a huge manga reader, because the manga readers WHINE WAY TOO MUCH and have to RUIN every adapted anime for the ANIME ONLY WATCHERS!

hmmm.... The new Krul Tepes is here. Guren is now fully controlled by his demon. Ferid is doing a takeover. The only thing I don't understand is we still know nothing about the vampires. Krul helped the humans with something that almost destroyed the world before, is there something dark lurking on the side of the vampires shes afraid of? For starters Vampires are way stronger than humans, the fact that they have to gang up in squads to beat one noble is a perfect example and the only reason the nobles died were because they were betrayed and not properly ready for the surprise attack. Krul is also a 3rd progenitor, did she want mika and yu to fight against the top 2 progenitors? She clearly said that the humans can't have Yu, so what does she want him for?

Also the show shifts from Vampires fighting humans because they are livestock, to the fact that humans are terrifyingly evil(starting seraph of the end, Creating demons). The 2 angels Yu and the girl both say punish humans and say nothing about vampires.

I'M AN ANIME ONLY WATCHER AND I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT THE MANGA IS COMPLETELY FINE COMPARED TO IT.

I've just done reading the latest chapter only, just to compare and all I can say is if only the anime followed the manga closely, it would be much, much better. Not that I think negatively of the anime, tbh I prefer the second season more than the first, and the last episode is pretty good imo if you ignore the things like lack of explanation and just...watch.

On a less serious note, what took both Mika and Yuu so long in the last scene? 8'D

I think it's my cue to read the manga.

This episode was kinda confusing because everything happened so quickly, I still liked it though. Overall I really enjoyed the anime, it stayed faithful to the manga and I'm pretty happy about that. I'm still a little pissed off they took out some comedy scenes though. I hope there's going to be a season 3 in the future, even if it's going to take 2-3 years. Like someone said though, I'll reserve some of my judgement of this episode until the next manga chapter comes out.

And I don't know if anyone here posted something about this yet, but to everyone who's going "WTF" at the "king of salt" title, here's an explanation I found on tumblr:

"Owari no Seraph at its core is sort of a religious, end of times, apocalyptic allegory. First off, the trumpet always represented Yuu’s non-human, Angel/Owari no Seraph part of him; as trumpets are symbolic of heaven and Angels. The salt, I think, is meant as purification, as the angel who is inside Yuu always goes on about purging the world of sinful humans who have gone too far etc. Therefore, “salt king,” I think is the Angel who possesses Yuu, where the one they get inside Mirai in her version of a Seraph, was an angel of destruction or whatever. In the Old Testament, people who disobeyed God were turned into a pillar if Salt. I believe it’s partly where they got the whole salt thing in the anime."

tl;dr: it's an allusion to the Bible, where salt stands for purification

And I also remember reading somewhere that the ending line might be an allusion to Noah's Ark, don't remember where though lol

overally improved from the second season, most notably in the fight scenes, characters are still dumbasses though, and the use of OP remix from the 1st season in this episode is pretty nice. The pacing of this episode is pretty off the charts though, they could've made this 13 episodes or do a double episode like UBW and Kekkai Sensen did, it would've been paced much better.
I think Gurren didn't go full demon in the ending, he's still switching back and forth with Mahiru. Obviously best grill Krul didn't die just because Ferid sucked her.

7/10. Expecting season 3 to hit in 2018-2019 i guess. Hope Wits has enough experience to execute it better by then.

Was curious as the where the anime would pick up from where the manga left off. Not sure if this was director's original idea or was been collaborated with the author for that sort of ending.

Was a great watch, last episode felt as though all the climax build up was just suddenly tapered down.

Ok, this was confusing. But even though it was confusing, it was epic. Idk it needed another an episode (or two) to make more sense imo. Yu angel mode was pretty damn cool! And Mika is with the team now, which is another good thing. So many deaths though, this manga doesn't kid with that (which is nice)

Anyways, 8/10. Very enjoyable, but could be better if it some plot points were explained better. I just hope Krul is alive though. Also, the family thing was cringeworthy. I mean, if they are a family then show them acting as such, not make them say it again and again.

why is there so many people that are confused about this episode? i dont really see anything that is complicated.
kureto revealed Kimizuki's sister who had become owari no seraph by getting the power of the demon inside of the 5th trumpet and then Yu killed himself to get the power of the 2nd trumpet and then became the king of salt or something pretty much the same as Kimizuki's sister. if someone is confused then Yu's seraph experiment were made by Guren's "good" personality and krul while his other peronality is with Kureto. now they have fled and gotten control over the demon or at least put it to sleep or something and are now heading back to base to take back the sister and guren.

im not sure how good my explaination was or if it even covered what people are confused about since i dont see anything confusing in the story, everthing is very well explained throughout the story

Is it only me who thinks Guren's decision to be loyal to Kureto is only an acting? Maybe he and Mahiru will betray Kureto. Mahiru always betray the Hiragii family. That's why i think he will do a move to help Yuu and company in the end.

No, I've contemplated that many times.

In general, if Guren didn't follow Kureto, Kureto'd probably torture his loved ones. We all know how much Kureto loves using torture.

Apart from that, Guren does have his own goals.
This was supposed to be included last season, but WIT, being WIT, decided to leave it out:

For a long time his goal has been to usurp the throne for the Hiiragis. He's not loyal to Kureto at all, so you could say he was acting, but it's not like he's ever acted serious around Kureto. I mean, did you see all the bored faces he threw around in one of the earlier eps? Don't get me wrong, they do have a friendship, but it's not like Guren's Kureto's dog, who always follows him. This isn't Aoi we're talking about.

As well as that, seeing as Mahiru hates Kureto from heaven to hell, I doubt she'd let Guren be swayed by him.

Also, there's this page, which wasn't really included:

Using the knowledge from those two, important, pages, that happened to not be included in the anime, you could safely say that Guren is certainly not on Kureto's side. It's just that Guren doesn't hate Kureto, either.

I'd like to use my knowledge of the LN to help, but everything after Volume 4 is a clusterfuck and Guren's goal might've changed as he grew older.

This ends in a pretty interesting way, considering the anime ended up AHEAD from the manga :P

Anyway I do really believe some of the currently "anime-original" things are gonna get passed into the manga. I mean Ferid betraying Krul is something we've been seeing from a mile and is very likely to happen.

Lest Kerr taking over is also something that may happen too, I mean there is no point in introducing a character with a beef with Krul if he isn't gonna do anything at all.

And them going to Sanguinem to save Guren that's also likely to be a thing, with Mika and Narumi on board too.

All in all this anime ended on a very satisfying note, and it makes me want to read the manga's next chapter ASAP.

PS: Kureto and Ferid need to die.

Okay this episode just proves how bad of an idea it is to go pass the manga. (I really hope this is an anime original ending).

By far the most retarded part was Krul losing to Ferid when she curb stomped him in S1 Ep3/4. That was unbelievably anti-climatic. Look I don't mind if she gets captured and labelled as a 'traitor' but the way it was done here was completely stupid. I mean just a 13th and 7th progenitor take down a 3rd!!! Dear oh dear I just hope to God this does not happen in the manga.

Serveral characters behave differently as well like Kimizuki who was much more furious in the manga.

This episode gets a 3/10

Overall season gets a 6/10.
