| Another great episode, always love that I try to predict how each episode will end and fail miserably pretty much everytime. The comedy was solid throughout this episode. Octopus flavored Popsicle? Yumm.... I heard that dumb song on that tape in another episode and remembered it was the audio portion of the preview for this episode (at the end of last week's episode, hope that makes sense) Sad that I'm going to have to find something else to watch for a while after next week. I hope it ends on a strong episode before the break; the preview did look promising though. On a side note, I started working overnights a while ago and have to DVR the shows I want to watch on Toonami now, which is fine but I forgot to record "Black Lagoon." Guess I will watch the first episode online. For fun, I was thinking of starting a thread for the common anime shout-outs or tropes (possible parodies) Examples that I can think of: the refrigerator from CB, the Haruhi "endless eight" parody, shape-shifting ability like Naraku (Inuyasha) or Envy (FMA). Maybe even anachronisms like Samurai Champloo has: Aloha Ole has Ape Hangers as control yoke, audio tapes instead of Digital Audio players. But I'm still thinking about how to go about it and I'm not sure how such a thread will be received by someone new here, or if a thread would even be worthwhile. |

It's funny that a TV-MA show can air on TV with all it's violence and fanservice in it's original glory but damn if someones drops the f-bomb |

| All doubts are gone. I love this show, and nothing will ever change that; I'm a lifetime convert to Dandyism, baby. But seriously, this show never ceases to impress me - the sandbox Watanabe's given the writers, animators, and directors just lends to endless surreal and/or hilarious scenarios, all while adding in a bit more characterization and hints to an overarching continuity between the seemingly random one-off episodes. For better or worse, BONES and Watanabe generally tend to go against the grain, and it's delivering in spades, here. Bring next week. Bring S2. I need more Dandy. |

| Lol, dang it, that spot the difference thing. The picture was slightly moved over for one so I thought that was a sixth difference! Anyway, I really enjoyed that episode, especially with the alien was just hanging around in the background as the guy. So often I find myself questioning how the crew manage to stay alive and then I remember, oh wait, they die at least every other episode. |

| Finish this thought, "Dandy is a slave to...." The booty! Seriously one of my favorite moments of this episode. I was consistently laughing through out the whole thing. It had everything I love about this show in it, an irritated scarlett, the random QT fishing enthusiast scene, hilarious lines, awesome boobies fanservice, the singing from last weeks preview, the random guy in the background the crew fails to notice.. etc i could go on and on. Really bummed there's only one more episode before the break. July is too far away! Who cares?! I'm awesome baby! |
