| Interesting development for Maomao situation regarding the small jobs she has to do for the higherups now, it's especially funny how she's resistant to poison after tasting so many of them and now she's great when it comes to knowing if the food is poisoned or not xD And making that aphrodisiac sure was something for her first cooking here |

| What a promotion! Beeing "allowed" to eat poison since the last one on the job got nerve damage. They are lucky she is one creepy girl who likes to poison herself, because using someone who can potentially cure poisons to taste test them is a stupid way to allocate precious ressources. | Maomao has received her own working place. Sort of "laboratory", knowing her devotion to experiments, haha. Now she can work also on various medicaments. Jinshi is really charming and handsome. Perfect person to see if all concubines are loyal to the Emperor. |

The "comedy" is not funny at all and the constant chibi transformations and musical cuts make this even more worthless to take seriously. Maomao just made a completely random suggestion that it's possible that the wood burning might have contaminated the food but she had no proof! It could've been anything!!!! It could literally have been exactly as the soldiers thought and the villagers were trying to kill them all with poison. What kinda bullshit is this???! How is this show top 25 all time? |

| Maomao is getting introduced to her job, as a taste tester for poison. But then she is also allowed to make drugs, which she absolutely loves. She's being given her dream job. She's asked to make an aphrodisiac, and she makes a pretty good one, with the other ladies-in-waiting feeling the effects after eating what was supposed to be Maomao's snack. She's pretty much immune to a lot of drugs and poisons. Jinshi was testing Maomao the entire time, and she seems to be passing the test. Gyokuyou, the concubine she's serving, appears to be a kind person with good humour. Jinshi is a beautiful man who seems to make women swoon, but he does the exact opposite to Maomao. How interesting. But what was that thing at the end? Cliffhanger! I'm really having fun with this show. Maomao is a great character, but I'm not entirely sure about Jinshi yet. Gyokuyou seems like a pretty good character. The artwork is absolutely beautiful. This is an extremely attractive looking anime. I'm continuing to love the opening theme. I can't wait to see more! |
