That was quite the OST. I liked it.

I totally forgot Kotori's background from the manga. It was the saddest, how could I forget?
I'm such a fag for forgetting.

Not too sure if I like Murakami discussing that they would all die when the pills run out with the fun and energetic music playing in the background...

Poor Kana, everything is liquified... yum.

Not too sure if I like the way they introduced the new guy, I forgot his name...
They didn't explain his relations to Murakami, I'm not too sure if they did this in the manga but I hope some background will be granted soon.

They treated teleporting Kotori with Kikako like some brilliant deduction. I'll give the benefit of the doubt and say the stress of the situation clouded their thinking.

PS: Knowing the situation in chapter 100, this can even have an official ending (manga ending), for those who were scared about the possibility of this show having an original ending.

I too also feel ch100 is a great place for the anime ending, I just don't think there are enough episodes to cover that many materials. I am kind of worry how the anime staff is going to handle that.

BTW I just read ch101 and it looks like the manga still has a long way to go.

Yeah, chapter 100 looks like it's a complete ending - it wraps up everything back to that mysterious opening scene. Haven't seen 101 yet, but I'm surprised that it's going to launch into another long arc... wasn't EL about 100 chapters total or so?

I almost thought we were going to get an ecchi-free episode. Nope, of course it had to be added, even when it was completely fucking random. FUCK this ecchi bullshit. Completely ruins this show.

THAT IS WHAT I SAID. I mean come on, Murakami is supposed to have PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY. Also, he is the brain of operation. There is no way in hell that someone who has photo memory is that slow to realize how to use Kotori's power to it's fullest.

It's not like photographic memory equals intelligence, but still with what's been shown of Murakami's supposed intelligence he should have realised it sooner.

It is true that photo memory might not equal intelligence, but come on, how much would take even someone less intelligent (which Murakami really shouldn't be) to realize how to use Kotori's power? Especially after his quick thinking in a fight against Saori.

Meh. Horrible pacing once again.

I don't mind fanservice or I rather love fanservice but the serious and dark mood of the show gets destroyed every time they make these stupid, lame jokes. And man that was one huge lens flare..

Amonilicious said:
I liked the first half of the episode and hated the second one. I don't know but my problem with this anime is a) the pacing and b) the plotholes and stupidity of characters...
And I really hate how you have a sad scene and right after that they shove their boobs into your face... Elfen Lied was ecchi too and contained lots of nudity but it was subtler and had better control over when to push the fanservice and when to take it slow and scary...
I also don't understand why everyone glorifies the characters so mcuh - to me they hardly have background rn except for kuroneko who has a bit of a deeper character. but they are all kind of unrealisticly painted...
I miss the scary vibe in this. :( We have fucking mutant girls but its not scary at all, like elfen lied was... and its not sad either because every sad moment is ruined by fanservice...

It's somewhat predictable. I remembered the author made a comment on his Twitter around ch9X about he was just made the story "looked like is about to end, but actually not".

There are still many questions left to be answered such as:

so I guess we need another long arc.

I posted on the previous episode's thread that I like how Murakami is a smart guy. But this time I just facepalm'd at the solution they came up with for dealing with cannon girl. I really thought he realized what was needed to be done when he saw Kotori tying herself up but no. Eh...I guess they were all panicky :s

Just caught up with the series and i can't say it's a lot to my liking. Seems like it is based on a dark plot where girls are experimented on,escape and try to live normal lives until they dissolve. To me it reaaaaally looks like Freezing Vibration (both plot and characters in general). I don't specifically like any character-mb this doctor is a good one though~left to see-.Also the transition from the carefree moments to the dark serious stuff where they are about to die is so,so annoying to me.So far it's a 5~5.5/10 and i can say i only have enjoyed the references on Kazumi's boobs.I Don't expect much from it but it's watchable.
Nevertheless it has potential, depending on how they will manage the allien stuff.

Well, that plan didn't go exactly as how I imagined it, but it did the job even better.

Geez, so they melt without the pills? Kind of like that third button on the harnest? They really need to find a way to stop taking pills cause 36 hours is not very long at all.

This show can be so depressing and then still include some comic relief, awesome. DAT GLARE CENSOR on Kotori's tits. So classy.

Kogorou seems as mad scientist-y as they come. Especially when he gets riled up. Maybe now they can get a steady supply of pills and be done with this subplot.

- I like how Murakami came out with some clever strategies when everybody's in panic, especially the harness in this episode was pretty scary imo.
- The scientist will probably make the next episodes more interesting, I like how he reacted to magics.
- Almost cried when Kotori was telling the story about Chie-chan, so sad.

Episode not bad.
A fight longer, he would have to charge my batteries thirsty for energy. The fact is that this does not happen, but at least the logical thread that ties all the events is remarkable.
Plot that brings up a new character, interestingly enough, the figure of Kogoro.
Drawings improvement, censorship too invasive, but it does not matter.
The witches in the end they are less dangerous than those of the controls, Kikako had a look scared after the words of the unknown man.
The beginning of the episode really grim, I'm curious to see the next one ...

This show sure is doing it's job in keeping me entertained, but the writing this episode was pretty bad imo. They fucked it all up when they showed us Kana's vision of Kotori killing Kuroha.. No shock factor at all and they could have done something way better, but I'm not gonna complain. I'm loving the mystery so far and the gore/murders, even though they aren't anywhere close to how gory the murders were in Elfen Lied.. To me though it wasn't the gore that drawed me to EL it was the shock value and how crazy shit happened out of nowhere and left me with chills, but the murders in Brynhildr so far are leaving no impression on me at all! We need more solid writing and this show can be something great. Characters are good, art, animation, sound, all great, Plot seems to be heading in the right direction now at least, scientist guy has me a lot more interested so I hope this show only improves from here on out. Supply them with drugs! Girls dying from sickness is bullshit, I wanna see some real deaths.

I definitely get how others would complain about it, but I personally love the contrast between dark, intense and silly, charming, and it even happens in a matter of seconds. It's like when you go to a funeral and someone makes a witty joke to help lighten the mood a little. Everybody still feels awful, but they're kind of chuckling a bit while wiping the tears from their eyes.

This series is way better at the dramatic/dark parts then the fluffy/"supposed to be funny" moments.
either way still enjoying it a lot (more than Elfen Lied), mostly because our male protagonist isn't completely retarded (at some points he still is, but at least he is trying)

Just when I paused the video, and thought that Ryouta should find a doctor or something and ask if he can copy those pills, I continued the video and Ryouta started talking about it. Damn, that's cool.
