| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This reminds me of the first couple of episodes of Cowboy Bebop, as it's all very action packed and stylish, but there doesn't seem to be much of an overall plot. I find it hard to get very interested, but I suppose whether you like this sort of episodic nature is a matter of personal taste. |

| Gotta say, I wasn't expecting the Jin cross-dress! And yeah, it is very much in the same episodic style as Cowboy Bebop. I hope that we get some more information about the overall arc. |

| No real plot aside from "Find the samurai who smells of sunflowers", but meh. Cowboy Bebop made the episodic style work so maybe Samurai Champloo can as well. (That's such a cool-sounding word. Champloo.) Fuu always seems to get into trouble when she's alone... And Jin cross-dressing was hilarious. For a moment, I have to say, I half-expected him to play that three-stringed instrument really well. But nope. XD Guess he is a samurai through and through. |

| I've been watching this an episode every so often, and the episodic style is good for that! Too many anime's I'll watch in spits and farts and after a couple of weeks, I have to re-watch the last episode I watched! With this, I feel like I dont have to! Great insta-action and entertainment! |

| In some ways I prefer anime with an episodic nature to one with an overarching plot. Jin cross-dressing was hilarious in this episode ^_^ |

I'll go up to around episode 7 or 8, but if it hasn't picked up by then, or the main character, Mugen, hasn't stopped being a friggin dipshit, then I'll drop it... |

| Mugen picking a fight with the Yakuza was awesome. He made them look like a joke. After they part ways... They meet again. Fuu get kidnapped to a brothel, Mugen's just trying to have fun and searches out a good fight and JIN THE TRAP is hired as a bodyguard by the crying boy. They are so fated to be together lol. |

I'm rewatching the show, and well, I'm as surprised with this episode as I was the first time. This show, as Bebop, doesn't stick to your usual plot guidelines. Hell, to this day, I haven't seen anything like this show, even though I have seen over 300 animes. That's why I was laughing my ass off when Jin started playing that banjoo thingy, not to mention the dialog when he crossdressed. |

| Still not quite sure what to make of this. It's super stylish and the main characters are intriguing, so hope it gets a bit more depth to it as it goes along. As for now it's just a bit of superficial fun. It's been said before but Jin's cross-dressing and musical talent were absolutely hilarious. Comedy is spot on in this show. |

| Jin cross dressing was kinda funny, but he kinda suited it surprisingly lol. An interesting episode. Mugen and the gang boss was something I didn't expect to happen as far as team ups go. |

| This is definitely reminiscent of Bebop...random travels of a rag tag team meeting many other people and having adventures that they get drawn into. It's stylish and has action just like CB. This episode in particular was a bit slower for me. Jin crossdressing made me lol though. Personally, I'm not too much of a fan of episodic shows like this ...it's what lessened my enjoyment of CB. But to each their own. The music at least is totally worth it. |
