| Wow, I didn't realize food would be spark such a conflict, even if done comically in this show. Also funny how Lum feeds a whole steak to Aturu. Second half of the episode is kinda weird...with that magical eyeball thing to see future about marriage partners. Then again, now I rememberd it's Urusei Yatsura and practically anything can happen. |

| The first part of the episode was okay. I think there were some new gags that I didn't expect so it made the episode feel fresh. The real star of the episode was the 2nd half and it was hilarious. But it was also pretty short so it couldn't reach the same level of chaos it did in the OG anime (episode 60 btw). That galactic salesman was completely original though. I think he was very clearly based on Principal Kuno from Ranma 1/2. Sadly the OG voice of Principal Kuno Tatsuyuki Jinnai passed away in the year 2000. If he was still around I'm sure he would've made the cameo. The next story will be interesting. It'll be the debut of Ton. He's going to debut before Ryuunosuke when her voice actress was revealed first but Ton's voice actor is still a mystery (some said it might be Kaji Yuki). He was also featured very frequently in the 2nd Cour trailer but I'm still a bit surprised that he made the cut in the Remake at all (alongside Kurama). The next episode is basically guaranteed to be very fun cause Ryoko is involved. |

| The teachers' consortium on cracking down lunch spots in the school so that they only follow rules, what an absurdity that creates the off-campus snack battle of teachers vs. students, Ataru and the rest are all on high alert, especially Shutaro who obviously betrayed them all. Trying all they can to distract the teachers in their effort to eat outside of school, with the help of the Tomobiki shopping district, they are able to eat food like okonomiyaki. What a loss, or a draw for an everyday battle. Ten is back, and like a certain Doraemon, he's got a new gadget to get a crystal ball to help the girls determine their lifetime lover with just one look. Only except that this thing looks shady as heck, but it's legit as heck for Shinobu, Lum and Ran. While Lum and Ran face their opposite determined destiny lovers, it's Shinobu who got Nurse Sakura's choice of Tsubame, and Sakura herself...got both horndogs Ataru and Shutaro. As expected, the lovey-dovey crystal ball that turned out to be the trouble-maker ball, it's indeed sent a big wooha. Oh well... An okay episode, the 2nd half of the relationship pentagon is funny. |

| How bored are these teachers? This whole snacking event is a bit of mess. Just like, plot wise. It seems like it ought to be part of an entirely different series. And Lum barely talking is really weird too. Like, what is happening? The second half was a little better, but all-in-all I'd call this an odd episode. |

| Revolution to eat when they want! There's a lot of tasty looking food in the shopping district. Mendou ignores his duty as a committee member when girls please him. Poor ol pops ain't dead yet but they mourn him. Ah, of course the shrine maiden is engaged to a magician... Before the reveal it was the trouble couple ball, I suspect ed the girls just saw the reflection of whoever was in the window at the time lol and Sakura was staring at the ball when Mendou and Ataru just happened to be looking through the window simultaneously. |

| This first half had me laughing my ass off again as the students battle the teachers over the right to snack on campus. Of course Mendo would side with the teachers. Was that a Superman reference I saw? In the end neither side won, but I would a second part of this conflict. The second half was Ten causing mischief by using an item he bought from the Galactic shop to show the girls who their potential partners were. Only to find out that they sent Ten the wrong item so he slid out of there while all the chaos was going on. Another fun episode. |

| These bits were two really good episodes in the original, I enjoyed them here too but I do feel the OG did these better, I was especially missing Sakura in her military uniform lol. These were fun to see again tho, the teacher versus students war is so wacky, loved seeing the Superman reference again lol, and the love catch balls causing chaos was really funny, I always love when Mendou and Ataru are lumped together and their goofiness really shines. I also thought the advertisement guy was well done, I don’t think he was in the OG and if you listen closely you can hear that he’s speaking an alien language and is actually being translated into the Japanese we’re hearing on top, nice detail there. Looks like we’re gonna see the baseball lad next episode, I’m excited for that one for sure. |

| One of my fave episodes lmao this was hilarious from start to finish. The off campus lunch crackdown was actually kinda similar to my high school experience it was hard af to leave campus to eat. Second half with the “trouble eye” was def the best tho. Sakura was awesome today I absolutely love her character. Ten really caused all that trouble and just dipped lmaooo |

| Not gonna lie, I was never the biggest fan of this show/remake but man was this episode hilarious af. To the point I even found Ten entertaining and I fucking despise that toddler from hell. |
| Cracking down on snacking huh odd thing to do especially at a school. Figures that Mendo would be the flip guy. That cat disguise really suited the teacher to a T. Funny seeing the shopping district step in though. Lum's skill at forward planning really is impressive. Guess you have to be at least a magician to match up to Sakura given she's a powerful Miko. The crystal ball was a interesting item though. Sure ended up creating quite the situation. The fantasy gum looks to be a barrel of laughs. |

| It's a fine episode and I think the OG counterpart of respective halves are just way funnier and more chaotic. My favorite part would be Lum shoving in one whole spicy Okonomiyaki to Ataru's mouth then he proceed to run around lloking for water with swollen mouth. This is just a very spicy earth food not Lum's own alien food, maybe his mouth would swollen double in size haha. For the second half, it just felt really short and a lot less funnier. The OG one has Ataru's parents, boys and even Cherry also looking at the ball which make things even more ridiculous .The commercial guy is a reminiscence of Ranma's annoying principal for some reason. The ending credit is also hinting on another alien stuff called "fantasy gum." Hopefully DP also adapt this chapter since this one is also one my favorite chapter with Ataru creating a masterpiece. Edit: I find the two biggest lowlifes and you want me to become a criminal is the funniest shit ever. It's probably why this chapter is absolutely one of the funniest episode ever. |

Although the second half with the worst romantic matches was great too. Ataru would ruin the lives of too many ladies. But it seems both ataru and mendou together would ruin sakura's life! |

| I preferred the first half. But yeah, both stories deserved to be full episodes on their own. That's one thing I think the remake should take from the anime - flesh out already-great concepts and jokes. |

| I'm glad that the show became a lot more interesting recently, after most of the character introductions done. Ataru also finally got used to Lum being around him even though he still tries to flirt with other girls. Ten's crazy item reminded me of Lala's silly inventions from To Love Ru. It caused a lot of chaos, Sakura having especially bad luck lol I liked how both Lum and Ran tried to hide from eachother what was shown on the ball |

| these two subplots were enjoyed by me exactly as they were their counterparts of the original anime... the second half, not so much... the opening one is once again a masterpiece and a top 10 or even 5 all-time favorite episode of Urusei Yatsura, even if cut twice the size now. Chaotic and funny even about three decades later. "Please Mendo don't be a mole" i was thinking. Yeah, sure... until the girls act all cutesy to stop him and obviously succeed. The tension of the final minutes of lessons from both Onsen-Mark and the students was so cool, it reminded a cafeteria-based episode of Full Metal Panic Fumoffu. Amusing were also the bits of how Sakura herself finished all the food from one of the restaurants, Ataru mistook the waitress blinking for flirting instead of a secret advice of the presence of Onsen-Mark in a cat costume, "i'm not dead" told multiple times by the injured old guy, and one of the teachers doing a sort of Gendo Ikari pose in the opening scene. |

| First half of the episode is just ridiculous. Why would the school faculty care about their students eating snacks afterschool? This is just outrageous. A civil war broke out amongst students vs faculty. The second half is much better. This is the Urusei Yatsura content I know in love. There is always some random shit that stirs the pot. Ten-chan fooled everyone with the magical eye ball. Marriage counseling took a turn for the worst for the entire cast. |

I wonder, is the teachers v. students war about eating outside school based on some controversy that actually happened in Japan back in the days? Does anyone know anything about the idea behind that story? It's only a guess but to me there's a level of satire there |
