all of my problems would be fixed if I was rich. no more having to worry about what my future looks like. no more arguments with family about money. no more living in a bad place. literally everything would be fixed if i was rich.

and for people that have no friends or partner, money can easily get you both of them. being rich gives you more opportunity to meet new people accross the world. you can do more things because you're rich, and you can meet more people.

being rich will likely make one arrogant so i do not like the idea of that, just enough financial security is better aka middle middle class

I grew up poor and I’ve never really cared for money. That’s probably why I always have enough money and if I don’t I just save up more for longer. People who care about money are always watching their bank account and waiting for payday. They spend spend spend lavishly as if they were rich or something.

Nope because my problems are linked to my country's national security. I'd use the money the gtf outta here though but the problems would go with me...

It can fix 50% of my problems.
Money can finally fix the cesspit but it can't make me good at signal processing and calculus although now that I think about it I wouldn't need to finish college I were rich.

Yes, most of my current issues (I really dislike where I live right now) could be solved with more money. The housing bubble went haywire here so if I could move it would be amazing. I can’t say money would “fix” all my problems though.

Most of them yes, but definitely not all of them. I'm too screwed up in the head to have money fix all my issues.

Absolutely not, there is no such thing as having no problems for any human being. Being rich would mean you'd have better problems.

Having no problems itself would be a problem because that would be mundane, I'm of the belief happiness is derived from problem solving and not something passively bestowed. In other words, no problems != happiness.

Anyways to bring a bit empirical studies into this topic, unsurprisingly life satisfaction correlates with high incomes or to be more precise log(income) which means there's diminishing returns but yeah Elon and Bezos are so absurdly rich that they'll have much higher life satisfaction even on a logarithmic scaling : https://www.pnas.org/content/118/4/e2016976118

What was the observed relationship between income and well-being? Larger incomes were robustly associated with both greater experienced well-being and greater evaluative well-being. Moreover, the shape of the relationship between log(income) and experienced well-being was strikingly linear: There was no observed plateau in experienced well-being, and there was no obvious change in slope of experienced well-being or divergence between experienced well-being and evaluative well-being, either around $75,000/y or at any other income level

Being rich would solve a lot of my problems. Bills would easily be paid for. My debts would be paid off. I could get top grade medical care anywhere and anytime I wanted without jumping through hoops at the VA. I could help out my family and friends with their problems. I grew up poor and spent a good chunk of my adult life really poor.So I know that not having money can be a bitch and make life harder.

I'm not sure about solving, but it's way more likely that a solution can be found way easier. Only when you're not dependent on some companies, the state or other people for your continued existence is when you have reached the maximum possible freedom within our society

Rich people have way more choices and also more time for themselves, which they can use to get ideas, which could help others and themselves

My family and I started out very poor but we've gradually made our way to around average. Being rich would fix a lot of issues we have with debt and a ton of other stuff. I never really cared all that much for money but if it fixes all the financial problems we have then hell yeah I'd like to be rich. Also it would make getting into a good college or university a hell of a lot easier.

I don't really have any problems but I do think that having a bit of money would be good. I own a house and would love to make some renovations but the mortgage is expensive so I don't really have enough to do that yet. Having like 100k would allow me to do my renos and install my studio in the backyard.

being rich will let me be able to fix the issues i have with my physical self, and not needing to work would help me focus on my creative pursuits as well. better equipment, affording the right equipment and programs, and buying me time.

and my parents wouldnt need to financially help me with anything.
hmm.

Good thing that death really isn’t an issue when you can die comfortably. I agree with OP tho, being rich would solve ALL of my problems.

Not all of them, but most of them yes because money plays an important role in "smoothing" many things in life (and fulfill my desires). But I wouldn't say money solves everything because the biggest problem in my life is myself.

I guess being rich would fix many problems but not all of them. Money can't make a dead person come back to life or treat a person with an incurable disease. Money can't make somebody love you unconditionally or get rid of your negative thoughts/emotions.

It's true that when you have little money all of these problems seem insignificant in comparison. But once you have enough money then all of these problems start to bother you. Our brain was designed by evolution to pay more attention to negative aspects from the environment (predators in the times of our ancestors which would translate to problems in our modern times).

So even if you fixed some of your problems with money, the brain would look for more. :))))

Pretty much all of my issues would be taken care of if I were rich, the biggest one being anxiety. I would probably travel, move to Korea or Japan and become a 0 viewer andy twitch streamer playing meme games and leech off of big streamers, if I were rich enough I'd like to bring one or more friends along for the ride.

you mean the .0000000001% chance of that happening? and a more likely chance of me tripping and falling in my own house and dying? nice try.

Being rich will fix certain problems.

1. Create your own business, so no need to work for other(s).
2. Housing.

.. what else? Something basic.

I don't really care about that, there are other, more important things in life, if I just had more money I would know what I do with it anyways, my basic needs are covered.

Yes it would drastically speed up my plans in life, if I didn't have to worry about money I could immediately start pursuing a YouTube / Voice Acting career and fund several business ventures with products / services I'm confident would be successful. Also wouldn't ever have to worry about paying for the like $30,000 in Rituxin infusions I need every year to live lol. A lot of awesome things I could do with the money too to speed up self improvement goals.
