-Human in Progress-
Just your average otaku
In no particular order my favorite genres are: action, psychological, slice of life, drama and comedy.
I'm slowly but surely trying to get more into reading manga.
I don't give scores. It's too much of a hassle.
Just as the title says, I'm trying to become a better human being as I travel across this beautiful yet tragic journey called life.
I've recently graduated from university and started working.

Yes I too have heard that 1984 is great, I intend to read that soon, though it and animal farm are short and can be read quickly.
Thanks for your well wishes on the piano, that in itself is a journey haha!
Psychology is an important and interesting field, nice! And it's great that you knew what you were about and wanted since a teenager, it must've given you a level of efficiency and ease in your pursuits.
And yes, thanks again for your words!
I wish you well and I hope we continue to become better versions of ourselves, both who we want to be and who we need to be. Let's do our best!
Also immense respect to you, it sounds as though you've fully (or at least trying) get a handle on life and make it yours entirely. I hope I get to that point one day too.
I too have been trying to gain knowledge and understand more about the world and us in it. I have on my reading list, Crime and Punishment. though I am not much of a reader I try to be as of late because the knowledge contained within them are comparable to none, but still, I have read some decent books, notably Animal Farm and Julius Caesar which were both insightful and interesting. I recently decided to pursue my interest of piano as well, in an effort to be better as a person and do fulfilling things.
Religious texts also contain great wisdom, I am familiar with some of the New Testament bible.
Might I ask what you did in university and if it relates or helps in anyway with what you try to accomplish now personally?
I feel as though I can take many of what you say as good advice I can implement into my own life, so thanks for that and I wish you the best with, as you so eloquently put, travelling across this beautiful yet tragic journey called life.
Of the anime I've watched I would say Clannad, A Silent Voice and Erased stood out to me as meaningful and impactful to my person. They made me think critically about my interactions and relationships with others. So, in terms of thoughtfulness, I would recommend those to you if you have the time, Clannad and a silent voice were especially sad though so be prepared haha. But like I say I really do enjoy lighter anime, especially nowadays when things are somewhat serious, I'd rather watch something hilarious and nonsensical and break out of the serious mindset for a bit, you know?
Also a bit of a different question, pertaining to your life journey, what did it feel like to transition away from, I suppose, your "old" self to the one that your are now, the one undertaking this journey of becoming better? What awakened? It is hard for me to vocalize this question but I was reading your profile and it came to mind, as your profile, your taste in anime, appears all centered around it.
Aniki!
According to your description of Somali, it sounds rly interesting, The setting itself I mean, never have seen a similar setting before, I'll give it a try prob - but later tho, kinda busy with the 83745834 anime's list lmao -. Thanks for the info btw !! ^-^
Bruh, the best nihilism I've ever witnessed was in Monster, by a character called Johan, so fucking dope, gave me chills and depression as well.
Ikrr !! You're true with that, I always find myself being a part of this smaller community everytime, all of my fav. animes either seasonally or yearly aren't popular at all - or popular but not overhyped nor appreciated -. Dorohedoro, VS, Run With the wind, Banana Fish, Gintama etc ... #SadLife
What about Somali to Mori ? It's in my PTW but Idk what's even about, is it good for someone like me, who isn't interested into drama/Pure SoL ?
PS: It's nice to see a fellow who loves Dorohedoro, such an underrated masterpiece, dunno why my best animes every season/year must be underrated or not that much appreciated/ hyped. *sigh*.
Welcome (θ‿θ)
Yeess, i loveee ittt! AHHHH!
I wish there was a third season, plus, i was so sad what happen with Guren, i really love hiiim, he's so hot! 🥰😍❤️
Definitely gonna check out FLCL then. I hear so many people talking about it so I want to know what the hype is about!
I see that you have texhnolyze and FLCL on you're favourites. What's your thoughts on them? I really like serial experiment lain and so i'm planning on watching those two.
