Hello Guys! In which reasons do you drop Anime? Does you drop it already after first episode? That would be interesting me.

if it doesn't pick my interest and doesn't look like it have a chance to pick my interest in the further episode either, of course i will drop it. but if i already decided to watch it, i will finish it even it turn out bad.

Eyy you expecting some in-depth paradoxical, quantum mechanics theorem-esq aka the pretentious answer or the simple one? I'll go for the simple one. If it doesn't interest me or if the anime doesn't really add anything new or improve on the previously used premise/tropes then I drop it.

If I don't get interested enough to get invested any further, I'll drop an anime in a heartbeat.

i try to finish every anime that i start to watch, but sometimes it takes me a lot of time (for example ergo proxy i finished it after months, because is so dense)

it needs to be really boring o really stupid (no funny) to drop it

Because either:

-It doesn't interest me and I would be forcing myself to complete it which isn't fun. Entertainment should not be a chore.
-It's outright offensive and watching it pisses me off.

Simple, if it's not interesting or doesn't match the summary given, and also when every episode starts feeling repetitive and similar. Too many good series to watch, no time for the ones that don't interest you anymore.

I drop anime when I lose interest in the story or characters. I used to be a completionist, but I don't see the point anymore in forcing myself to finish something that I'm not enjoying. It's not worth the time and irritation.

I seldom drop anime since before I start a new series usually I'll check its genres, its sales (if possible)and its reputations from others, also I'll roughly check its main characters, animation(usually from PV) and even OP/ED to see if this series is suitable for me (luckily I hardly got spoiled before). So once I'm satisfied about the above and get started, I'll finish it unless it is a very long series.
The only one I actually dropped was Detective Conan, the reason was simple: I lost patience.

I don't drop anything. But I always said the only thing that could make me drop a show was not something terrible, just dreadfully, agonizingly boring in every way.

Nisekoi got very, very close. =.=

I could explain exactly why I picked up and why I dropped every single one of the anime on my dropped list. The most common reasons are:
1. It was recommended to me, but I didn't like it
2. It looked good at first, but it got boring
3. I just wanted to try it out and didn't intend to finish it
4. I only watched part of it but still wanted to put it on my list
5. I started it when it started airing and it wasn't as good as I though it would be (similar to #2)
6. The part I watched didn't interest me and I haven't gotten to finishing it yet

I think it's completely logical to drop anime.

I'm not the biggest fan of Nisekoi despite liking the series a bit (it's just mindless pleasure after all :v), but if you found it boring, I can't imagine how you would react to the borefest of Mahouka.

Get bored/don't care about it enough to continue to watch.
Too much fan-service that becomes distracting for myself.
Too much violence played for comedy.
Problematic reasons.
Not my cup of tea.
Shit or annoying characters.
Not worth the time.
I personally find it horrid.
And so on and so forth. I'd drop something for multiple reasons.

I generally drop anime(s) when I completely lose my interest in the story, characters or that I just don't like the anime in general for no reason (Another/Hyouka for example, I came to the conclusion mystery anime(s) just bore me to the fullest)

It all pretty much depends on the genre I'm watching, I prefer 'action' but I need atleast some nifty form of drama/romance along with it. (schwarzesmarken is a good example of my perfect anime, a decent story, mixed in with alot of drama, which can keep me thinking for days after watching one episode)

Other than that, the artwork/design has to be good, I just cannot get myself to watch old school anime(s) because of the poor visuals/animations. (I tried tho, I tried...)

But worst of all, I cannot watch any anime, where the 'male' characters are extremely abusive/offensive towards the 'female' characters, it just disgusts me. (Guess the anime, you'll know which one it is..)

Usually it's either because it's incredibly bad (Zero no Tsukaima), or it's because I'd rather read the manga (Nanatsu no Taizai).

If I drop the show after first ep, I don't add it to my list.
I drop when:
- I lost interest.
- My ability to think is treated as non-existent.
- I can't with visuals (very extrange)
- I feel that everything I'm seeing I have seen it before.

If you see my stats or profile, you'll see that most of my dropped anime list are 100+ eps series. They are just too long to follow. But if someone put them on TV I'll watch them again anyway.

Yes school days got dropped after episode 11/12.

a) I don't have enough time and the series is too meh
b) The series is outright unpleasant to watch
c) I do have enough time but there are better things to watch anyway
d) Fansub rule (I won't finish watching a series through illegal means if I don't intend to purchase any official UK release the series may get in the future).

One of those 4 reasons.
There is no such thing as shit taste. Only idiots who think everyone should have the same taste as they do.

Mostly for priority reasons:

1) Too busy to follow during seasons.
2) Redundant series, which I can watch any other time.

Series with content I am in a principle disagreement, I don't watch or list anywhere. Sometimes though is just unbearable to watch or it happens to something that doesn't interest me at all.

i drop stuff if its too violent of if its just plain boring. I dropped HxH because it got so violent i was sick to my stomach. I droped katekyo hitman because it was as boring as watching grass grow, which is about the same rate at which the main character gets stronger.
