| All right, after looking smol Emilia, now we see smol Otto. It seems that Otto who can talk to animals is not always in his favor, I never thought that Otto used to have a difficult life. Don't cry Emilia, I know everyone broke their promise, smile, you look prettier when you smile :)  Man, I really love this kiss scene |

| That was really beautiful! This was a really well done episode! even though the Garf fight looked weird it at times. Have to wait for subs then read the LN counterpart for comparisons. |

| HOLY HELL, AN EXACT 30 MINS? Yeap, this is the longest episode we've ever had since Season 1 Episode 1. They even snuck in Break Time. Otto playing a trick on Garfiel and stealing his neck gemstone, what a man. But young Otto? His backstory is just as terrifying as Subaru's, if not any more detrimental. His ability to converse with animals, for better or for worse, is a downfall. From family to hatred, from Petelgeuse to beastmen, that's an experience all on its own. Unfortunately, that isn't enough to hold Garfiel back, and the betrayal totally felt unjustified, transforming to his beastly tigerly self and facing both Ram and Otto. Back to Subaru and Emilia, the loss of Puck and everyone being liars, it was tragic to see Emilia fall apart within the seams with their argument. Subaru though, no matter how much he affirms his love for her, the former's trust has been broken too much to ever see the benefit of the latter's sacrifice for her. And it takes a kiss to affirm all that, which is by far the ABSOLUTE best moment of the series to date. 1000/10 episode, NUFF SAID. |

 I agree with this poll results. So far, all of them voted "5." This episode is 神回!! Now, I understand why this episode has two subtitles. Both stories are awesome. I was almost crying when I watched Otto's background story. |

| Otto's past was hard to watch but damn, that kiss between Subaru and Emilia... This could be the most emotional tied episode yet for this season unless part 2 has something else to show. Still, I really do feel like they the younger Otto's past was an interesting part of his character. The kiss! |

| No OP and ED, again. In my opinion it was the best possible adaptation. I was hopping for a longer fight between Garfiel and Ram, but it was good enough for me. The best part about this cour is that the good stuff is just beginning. |

| I have a new appreciation for Otto now. Not that I didn't before, but more I didn't have anything for him lol. But damn, gg Otto. Good lad. Oof, that last scene really hit hard in the feels. |
| Great episode. White Fox imo really did a great job with Otto's backstory and Subaru and Emilia's convo was easily the highlight of the episode for me, especially when they kissed. I'm hyped for the next episode. |

| 27:30.. man white fox love Re:Zero. They also used the original WN dialogue for the kiss scene instead of Yen Press. This is probably 3rd best Re:Zero ep all time. The animation surpassed even episode 18 at times. The long run time without OP/ED allowed White Fox to bring one of the most important parts of this arc to life. I couldn’t be more pleased. This was the one time in my life I’ve ever rooted for Subaru and Emilia. That’s how well written this scene is in the LN. Was going “kiss her, dumbass” to myself while reading lol. Next week.... Fortuna... pain. |

| Very good episode. About time we got an episode not revolving around the mystery and taking forever to get to the end of the arc, but finally an episode where we can focus on characters and their development. I was really confused when Otto did his bug trap, but then it explained his backstory, I feel like maybe it might have been better to shift the scenes differently so that we would see the bug pit either after the flashback or at the same time. And the other highlight, the conversation between Subaru and Emilia, it felt very realistic and was very well portrayed by the voice actors. I honestly didn't expect the kiss to happen and i am wondering how it will be played out in future episodes. Still pretty funny that the second season started with Rem being forgotten, which started this whole set of events, and it's during this period that he kisses Emilia...like, maybe you should have kissed Rem and see if that would have solved everything, like in a cliche story (or did he try that already and I just don't remember?). Instead, it's "Who's Rem? I have Emilia to worry about now." Haha. |

| Loads better than first episode. Very entertaining. More show and less tell which is something this show is sometimes not so good at. That was one confession not holding anything back. |

| Personally I couldn't care less about Otto (he is not a bad character or anything) but holy shit the second half nailed it. I didn't expect another confession and a kiss. I thought we would be jumping into the trial right away so that caught me off guard. |

| I was bored for the most part I won't lie, especially with the Otto portion, ending was definitely solid and well-executed though even if a tad cringey (which the show's always been when it comes to its romantic dialogue so it's not too shocking). I can see the score for this anime rising by quite some bit after that kiss scene with Emilia and Subaru. |
