Anime when?

If there are only two volumes out, I think it's too soon for it to be an anime, if it will ever be.
It really interests me, I'm just waiting for more chapters to come out to start reading it... but I didn't think it was so popular o.o almost 900,000 copies sold of volume 1, that's just crazy.

Oh wow, I should give Sakamoto desu ga? a chance in the future. Interesting to see it being on top of the list though. I'm not very familiar with most of those LN titles, only Problem Children although a friend of mine read Heavy Object before and enjoyed it.

Damn, I'm also hoping Wagatsuma-san wa Ore no Yome will higher in the future.

*claps*

Wonder if you can check a series' status and how it's doing? I'd love to check out Muromi-San and some other 4-Komi series manga sales.

On a side note, KuroKuroku and Himedol! got axed from Shonen Jump. Hoping that this won't discourage the mangakas from continuing their dreams.

35% of the Book Top 50 is about New Year (two thirds are about making New Year Greeting Card and one third are Family Account Ledger for the new year) LOL

And you know why the LN and Anime/Manga chart has so few entries this week (and perhaps the next few weeks too)
symbvNov 20, 2013 7:18 PM
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Is it really that hard to make a greeting card these days? It's easy to make one even if it has to be formal.

Apparently it is a nuisance and headache enough for people to buy guidebooks about it. Let's look at the New Year Greeting Card related books in Book Top 50 this week:

> 19. *31,714 *,*31,714 Koe no Katachi Vol.1

This is an one-off that got serialized and heavily promoted by Shounen Magazin. The one-line synopsis in MAL DB does not do justice to the story. It is not just about a hearing-impaired girl but more about the bullying she suffered as a result and the boy who led the bullying and escalated to such an extent that he instead got isolated and bullied instead. It is a story of two lone souls who could not be possibly thought to connect and yet somehow they started to build relationship with each other.

When the one-off was published it got huge amount of feedback and discussion about treatment of people with disability and school bullying. I am very happy that for a brand new title it is up on #19 in the chart.

Yeah it's cool at first, but well.. it's getting a little boring, but he's still cool, especially when he visited his friend's house and the mom was.. lol..

Oh my god Nisekoi is still selling.. It's one of those never ending story as long as there are fans, author is clearly milking it hard, much more than Bleach, on the same level as KnIM.

Hah so Mondaiji is still selling so well, huh? I sure hope that it got more depth to it from after where I left off. The whole anime can be summed up as "MC so OP, no one can scratch him". Gift game? Guild? Characters? Whut, fanservice is more like it.

pre-anime SnK-like numbers*
Well, obviously. I wouldn't compare manga without an anime to manga which has one. When anime airs it should get big boost as well though I somehow doubt it would be as massive as SnK's.

Also happy to see HnI selling but the numbers should be much bigger!

@ToG25thBaam, you prefer watching whiny bitches in every single anime? There's nothing wrong with badass powerful MC from time to time. Izayoi was the biggest plus of really good Mondaiji.

Neh, not that there is a problem with whiny and weak MC, I like Tsuna, Sawada Tsunayoshi. Izayoi is boring, powerful, but a very boring character, do you get it? An example of another strong MC that I like, the protagonist of Gun x Clover, he is strong, very strong, but not that boring.

Started reading it after seeing you guys talk about it, and I'm glad I did. Hope it won't go downhill after this like most manga would. An anime would be nice too, but only after there's enough materials or after it ends to avoid fillers.

People still do not understand that the MC is not OP? I think we already went over this when the anime was still airing. You're simply uniformed about the series.

I'm surprised that Kimi ni Todoke is still selling that well... It's getting more and more boring with each volume, even for shoujo manga lover like myself :/

Also, I've never really paid attention to it, but I thought that last volume of Vampire Knight would sell better... I just started reading it and quite enjoy it so far, hope it doesn't get worse later.

Here is a link to the particular thread on LNDB I meant in case you are having trouble finding it. It only has results since May of this year but NouCome and OutBreak company have only ranked recently anyhow:
http://forums.lndb.info/showthread.php?tid=53

For searching of manga results, ANN actually seems to be the best as they have a page for each manga (just type it into the search box upper right) and it includes the links to sales results for it. E.g. Saki:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/manga.php?id=10526

It would be nice if MAL had similarly easy to search lists of past sales figures, then I wouldn't need to recommend other sites...

^ One thing the LNDB chart does not have are the anime/manga related books. LNDB uses a list reported by some dedicated fans in certain 2ch thread but the list they report from the general book chart contains only the novels. Guidebooks or art albums are not reported. I always include them in the book chart I reported here, though I am not sure if, like the album sales data, it may get dropped without warning or explanation.

As for adding new features in MAL, I don't think the site is short of programming resource, so....

Hah so Mondaiji is still selling so well, huh? I sure hope that it got more depth to it from after where I left off. The whole anime can be summed up as "MC so OP, no one can scratch him". Gift game? Guild? Characters? Whut, fanservice is more like it.

People still do not understand that the MC is not OP? I think we already went over this when the anime was still airing. You're simply uniformed about the series.

Then please do explain that in what way he is not OP, in a spoiler tag. I've seen up to 7 episodes, and yes I dropped it there, he seems to be kind of OP. First he defeated the Water God(?) in the first episode with a mere.. punch? Then he proceed to defeat the antagonist in episode 6 iirc easily without even getting scratched (maybe he did but I forgot), and that antagonist was so hyped, you know, he was even famous among the bunch (I forgot who). Come on, that's not OP, then what? Want to see something realistically OP? Read Gun x Clover, there is a reason for his OP-ness instead of "Oh I am the protagonist and I was set up to be this strong". The fault of the show doesn't stop at the characters, I can go even deeper into how the gift game is boring, but since it's not my objective here, I'll refrain from doing that.

I hope Nisekoi gets back to the plot a little bit. I love these cute chapters, but it's time to know what Marika's hiding.

I doubt that it will. Mystery solved = no more mystery = manga will get boring without plot. And also, the author seems to be under the impression that revealing whose key fits the holes of the box means the end of the manga because Raku will probably choose that girl unless he pull a (kind of expected) twist on us. I have given up on that long ago.
