I sadly don't read a lot of rom, or com
But two characters in Call the Name of the Night build a really cute friendship with each other over the 5 volumes it's long
Personally I enjoyed it a lot and how they explore and get around each other's worries interacting with each other
My apologies if you've already read it, your list is unfortunately private so I cannot check for that
As for my own preference... I like mahou shoujo, iyashikei, and adventure a lot. But I've also been branching into BL and GL recently.

These sound exactly like my taste!!! Thank very muchhhh!!!!!! ♥
And seeing your perfect squishy–cute–school–shoujo preferences in your favorites, I just have to recommend you a few titles too! (I hope it's not against some rules, I just have to share my favorites with you, seeing your taste!)
I really, really recommend Kobato - it’s also by CLAMP just like Sakura, super adorable, and Kobato herself has such strong Sakura energy! ๐ธ If you ever have just a tiny bit of free time, try the one-volume series Hamuko to Gao-kun , it’s a very sweet school romance and super easy to read. And of course Kodomo no Omocha, a wonderful elementary-school-focused classic! One of the bests there is!
And since you enjoy those soft, animal-filled series, I think you might also love the relaxing Neko no Message-ya-san, and one of my absolute favorites: Doubutsu no Oishasan with lots of animals, lots of animal knowledge, and a very weird (perfect!!) humor style.

@AngelShiva Hello! Been a while since I heard that manga haha! maybe ill reread it with the holidays coming. I think accessing your manga list was restricted soooo i couldnt see what you've read except for your favorites. But the japanese lighthearted, romcom mangas that I've enjoyed (completed of course!) are (based on seeing that you enjoyed Love So Life: - Last Game (66 Chapters) - Meido no Koi wa Enma Shidai! (36 Chapters) - "Kono Otoko, High-Spec na Doutei Desu" (27 Chapters) I don't think MAL has a link for this manga.. somewhat smut but not really?? the main girl was an extreme delulu gal from my memories haha One of the webtoon I mentioned above is funny and also is completed if you wanted to give it a read!! Also, happy early birthday :)

I'm going to toss a few of my favorites out there for anyone.
BL - Kuroneko Kareshi no Asobikata
This has multiple sequels and I love every single one. I have re-read all of them when a new one comes out.
BL - Mo Dao Zu Shi
There is a bromance turned love interest with this one. I did watch the anime before picking this up though. I got into the Live Action version afterwards and loved it.
Gore - Imawa no Kuni no Alice
I started with the OVA and got sucked in. Gore is an understatement. It has 3 seasons of Live Action, but they leave out a lot.
Fantasy - Solo Leveling
The anime really needs to stick more to this. Hopefully the upcoming season will dive into the manhwa more to help character development.
@Magikarpeus - I saw you watched Solo Leveling. Have you read it? If not, I would recommend it.
@@Sam565 - I saw that you read Imawa no Kuni no Alice. You might like the Bloody Monday series.

@foxxykat1223 I noticed that you like BL, including older ones (big respect for having Junjou Romantica in your favs), so I thought I'd recommend Running on Empty. It's a fully coloured manhwa from 2008, more of a drama than romance but I found it quite interesting. Maybe you'd also be interested in Dull & Sweet? It's been a while since I read it but I recall it being an alright adult cast BL. I'd like to read something relatively short and not very recent, maybe >10 years old or so. As for genres, I particularly enjoy BL/GL but anything goes really :)

| @holsoma Some romcoms which I really enjoyed (and by looking at your list I don't think you've read yet) are Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san or Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru which may be a bit different from your average romcom. | @foxxykat1223 I don't know much about Gore, and since you've read Kuroneko Kareshi no Asobikata, I bet you've delved quite deep into BL. But still, I would like to recommend some: 3-pun Instant no Chinmoku, In the Cage, and Fugainai Koi. As for Fantasy, Pick Me Up is great, and you might wanna give Dungeon Odyssey a try. | @Sam565 So I know you’ve gotten a boat load of replies by nature of being on the first page, and I apologize if this has already been recommended, but I very much recommend the Higurashi series in terms of the horror or mystery request. Also the plot is unique in my opinion so there’s that too that matches your request. I would link the story but there’s multiple different parts to the series so what I would recommend is finding a reading order online so you can see where side stories fit in as well if you wish to read those. A brief summary would be it is a multi part story following a group of friends in an 80s Japanese town that befalls a severe tragedy. Each arc is a different universe in which similar but different events happen. Hints are dropped throughout the arcs as to the true nature of the story with each arc leading to the end , but with the first few arcs raising more questions than answers. Because of the way it is told there is a lot of “repeating” in terms of scenarios that happen, so it can “drag” at times but it’s a very unique story and worthwhile read. Also, something cool they did is each arc has a different artist, this hurts some arcs but really helps others. I recommend reading the authors notes for each volume too as they just help give more information about the story. Sorry once again if someone else recommended this to you, but if they did they also have good taste. Here is arc 1: Higurashi WHEN THEY CRY: Abducted by Demons Arc |

| @YuzuruKei I recommend Kuroshitsuji ! It's a bit dark, and is set in Victorian England. It's definitely a good read, and has elements of action, mystery and a tad bit of horror too (though not too much). It features a young Earl and his butler. | @SansyMon Since you like manga with a princess MC, I would highly recommend trying Belle Poupée no Super Darling Konyaku / The Princess Groom. The MC is a princess, and the roles are basically reversed — the princess acts like a man and takes care of the prince and there are a lot of wholesome moments between them. I am reading it as well and currently it's at 22 Chapters. I prefer any type of manga genre except isekai, as long as it has rom-om elements and if it's not in my list already. |

@MooZombie If you’re in the mood for a great manhwa, I highly recommend Eleceed. It’s got an awesome mix of action, super powers, and honestly the characters and humor are top tier. The story follows Jiwoo, a kind-hearted guy with lightning-fast reflexes, and Kayden, a secret agent-turned-fat cat. Together, they’re constantly saving the day, with plenty of epic fights, quirky moments, and lots of heart. If you ever want something with food themes, let me know!

@Takoyakirin As for the wholesome manga i would have recommended Mono, but you already started the anime and since you only watched one episode it might not be that good of a recommendation... So maybe give it a second chance ??? (Or try the manga instead mhmm) For the sports story I would recommend Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiruwhich I didn't see on either of your lists. The manga is about running, but the twist of the the entire story is that our main team consists of mostly people who've never run before or are just completely useless when it comes to sports. Ofc the mc is pretty cracked at running though... As for myself I really don't have any preferences, I just read what look interesting and don't really care about genres.

@QW-iki2216 Hahha Thanks! My list is mostly short very niche manga. Pandora Hearts seems very interesting, I've made plans to read it, your recommendation pushes it up on my priority list. yay There are two manga that marked my year: Billy Bat and Pluto both written by the same author. I mentioned Billy Bat already on this forum but yeah, make it twice because it did make a impression on me. Pluto is more special tho, I love Astro Boy since I was a kid! https://myanimelist.net/manga/11054/Billy_Bat https://myanimelist.net/manga/745/Pluto

@shxtter Idk if you've read it before, but anything Aki Irie would fit your tastes I think. Hokuhokusei ni Kumo to Ike which is about a boy going to Ireland to search for his lost brother (the brother is caught in a string of murders surrounding him, and people think he's the culprit). I haven't read it all/caught up to it yet but the last volume I checked ends on a big cliffhanger, making me want more! There's also Ran to Haiiro no Sekai which is about a young girl who has a famous witch as a mother, and she yearns to be like her when she grows up. One day, she finds a pair of magical sneakers that turn her into an adult, and she uses it to do all kinds of stuff (leaving it at that since the story is spoiler heavy). The series veers a lot into philosophy and discourse but can get quite interesting when its time for some action. These two are the only ones I've read yet, but lmk what you think!

I forgot to write what I was looking for, lol..^^'3
I'm looking for an absurd comedy, in the style of D-Frag!, Fujimura-kun Meitsu, Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan, Nichijou, City, etc. that I haven't heard of yet. Something obscure but REALLY funny tbh.x'D

@Klefki_of_Awsome I have a couple comedy suggestions that you might like. I organized them from Most known to most obscure. Nan Hao Shang Feng is a pretty funny school comedy, with levels of absurdity. Oddman 11 is a pretty strange and kind of like a weird Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. The Mermaid Princess's Guilty Meal is a bit macabre. I think you'll know pretty quickly whether or not you mesh with its humour. Up Up Balloon is my last recommendation and is definitely pretty obscure and pretty absurd. I'm looking for non-isekai fantasy series/interesting settings, along the lines of Frieren, Asebi and Adventurers of Sky World, Made in Abyss etc. Cool world-building is probably what I'm looking for the most.

@ohpishhposh Dead Tube — If you’re into dark, thrilling stories with intense character dynamics, this manga is a real page-turner. The plot moves fast and keeps you on edge, while the characters’ interactions are gripping and unpredictable. Even though it’s dark, it’s hard not to get hooked and want to see what happens next.

Hi, I need some manga recommendation that
- Has finished publishing
- Not stressful and generally wholesome. Some drama here and there is fine as long as it's not the majority of the story.
- Has no more than 200 chapters
Any kind of wholesomeness is fine - romance, family, friendship, etc.
Thanks in advance!

@Wari Barakamon — This completed manga is heartwarming and stress-free, with a satisfying mix of personal growth, friendship, and light comedy. It occasionally touches on emotional moments, but nothing too heavy. With a concise number of chapters, it’s a fulfilling read that leaves you feeling good and relaxed, making it perfect for someone looking for a balanced and enjoyable story.

@Jehan5000 Thanks a lot for the many detailed descriptions, I'll be adding them all, but ironically am most looking forward to Mermaid Princess, lol..^^'3 Up Up Balloon, the title is funny and I really like Lupin's style of humor so this being from the same author makes me curious about it. I didn't realize Oddman was a Sayman manga but I like their style! Don't follow much Korean manga/manhua but absurd HS comedies are my bread and butter!vuv I want to give others a chance to recommend you something in case someone else joins, but I do have some ideas to suggest you if you are interested..^^'3 Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari might seem like a typical low level harem series with a boring potato as a MC but the world building and lore are quite deep and detailed, with many chapters ending with a long and detailed explanation on the culture of each tribes and groups, as well as recommendations for places to visit, ecology stuff, and more. I STRONGLY recommend it if you want some pallatable fantasy with a great amount of detailed world building. (on second thoughts, ignore this one, its an isekai (kind of).. I didn't read the first part of your comment, sorry..vnv'3) Another rec I'd give is Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryoukan, which is a melancholic story about two girls searching for the "end of the world" in a dystopic future, hence the English name "Girls' Last Tour". Great series, might make you shed a few tears at the end though (won't spoil more), as we see the characters grow as persons but also learn more about the new world they live in.

@Ririko-chan I have a couple recommendations for you. Shiotaiou no Satou-san and Tonari no Wakao-san are classic romcoms Kimi wa Yakamashi Tojite yo Kuchi wo! is a sweet romcom between a deaf girl and a kind, but very talkative boy A Stepmother's Märchen, Not-Sew-Wicked Stepmom and Writing My Male Lead's Happily Ever After are pretty good romance manhwa Bitter Virgin is an interesting, somewhat shocking manga with a darker story As for myself, I enjoy reading almost everything, so don't hesitate to recommend anything you find interesting. From the stuff I read recently are Mikadono Sanshimai, Ore no Shibou Flag and a couple of manhwa.
