DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Really wonderful special of this more than amazing series, those 30 minutes seemed to pass in an instant just because this series brilliant pacing! Really loved this series and I would really love to see a movie or sequel to it! Really was worth the way and I got to say that I really loved it! |

| Beautiful lyrics by Violet, I hope they will bring Hugo though. Sometimes they should do a follow through with the guest characters and their story. I know Ardo said to Violet someday he hopes she will know what love is, but subconsciously she does know what love is. But the right answer is the hope she will realize those feelings. |

| This episode was really wonderful and very touching. At the first minutes i began to think that it was a waste of time but.. That twist. I really enjoyed it. Thank you Kyoto Animation Thank you Violet! I'll be 27 years old when the movie will be released so i'll wait with patience. | Seemed kinda weird that Irma didn't even mention that the letter was being used for lyrics in a song. Communication is definitely not her strong suit. Was nice seeing Violet learning more about the meaning of love after seeing those letters. The performance at the end was great; definitely the highlight of the episode. It was alright. Not the best episode for sure, but it had its moments. 6.5/10 |

| I thought this was going to expand on what was the reason for the cliffhanger of the last episode of the parent series, but I guess not, probably they are saving that for the upcoming movie. I don't know if there were some bigger hints on this in the parent series, I did catch up on that in the last episode, but this just confirms it way more. Erica is having a cute crush on Benedict it seems, you know yours truly ships it. That old postman is like the Santa Clause of that world, he occasionally drops some hints around Violet and helps her solves a lot of problems indirectly. Pretty solid episode. |
| Not a sequel in the form of a 30 mins OVA, but it's still an amazing OVA! As always it's focused on the character development of Violet by writing letters of love from someone to someone, only that this time, the letter will be a lyric for a song in an opera. In the end, it's a heartwarming and touching song that will reach those that have been affected by the war. On the other side, the animations and visual quality are of course top notch! Very good OVA, I wanted to know more about Violet's past interactions with the Major and the current condition of the Major, but I guess that'll be what the movie is for. |

| This really should have aired. It explained the airshow letters later in the series and Violets growing love awareness. Great OVA but it would have been better if viewed in order. |

| Not a bad episode but I ultimately didn't like the fact that it was set to the middle of the series, disregarding subsequent Violet developement. Also, the song while being touchingly sunged with great voice had somehow disappointing and rather average lyrics. My anticipation was higher as it was constantly promoted throughout whole episode yet the result was far from being something capable to resonate with the crowd. Yes, that scene with abondoned post warehouse was great but all that sentiment simply wasn't translated well into those lyrics. And no, merely saying ''this is it, this is perfect'' by another character doesn't create those words alone awesome. I liked the episode so it's a shame the ending song didn't quite work well (again, the melody and voice itself was awesome). So much for overhyping their actual ability to write something meaningful and touching in the end. |

| From her interactions, it's quite early in Violet's development. Confirmed to be sometime after the episode where she went to school. Interesting, Irma's seiyuu Yoko Hisaka has some anime theme songs in her portfolio but TRUE, who performs the opening, is her singing voice. |

| I'm glad to see Violet struggle, taking multiple attempts to understand complicated feelings and a difficult request. I'm also glad to see that she's grown to the point where she can admit her struggle and rely on her friends to help her. This episode could have taken the easy way out, and let the power of friendship or whatever get the job done. Instead, it directs us to an emotionally powerfully reality- that of loss. Violet is able to write the lyrics not only because she now understands her client, but because she understands the broader audience of a war-torn society. Somewhere between an 8/10 and a 9/10 for me, I'm sure I'll flip back and forth a few times. |

| i liked it. it was fine. but it didn't scar me and my me cry my eyes out. the ending song wasn't my cup of tea & the lyrics weren't something that meant much to me. the part i loved the most was probably when roland & violet went to that place with all those undelivered letters. it was pretty touchy >< it was better than average. but wasn't exemplary. so its a 6/10 for me. |
