| This is like my guilty pleasure show. After a week filled of death and destruction from Akame, Tokyo Ghoul, Aldnoah, Zankyou, and Tokyo ESP, its nice to have a nice little Monday with Ao Haru Ride and Hanayamata. Another cute episode. Keep em comin' |

| Cute, cute, though I kinda wish it'd be more serious with a few scenes where they really need to be. Yaya's tsundere jealousy was a bit overwhelming towards the end, but other than that, really nice episode. Hana was such a fun character this time around, and I'm excited to see more progress in Naru's yosakoi journey. Can't wait for next week. |

Lol looking at all the characters' names made me realize the title is just all of their first syllables (?) combined. Ha, Na, Ya, Ma, Ta Nice find! I wasn't much paying attention to their names so I never noticed myself. I just love how Hana does her "Ditzy unassuming American tourist" thingy all the time, even when facing Yakuza and other dangerous situations. All she wants to do is to whip out her camera and go "Kyaa!" over everything Japanese. It's been a while since I last saw a personality like this (BL loving fujoshi don't count in my books). Naru and Yaya's characters aren't quite as interesting in comparison, but the Yuri inducing chemistry makes it all work somehow. That said, I can't wait to see them actually do the dances, because that and the humor are what ultimately influenced me to watch this show. Next week can't come soon enough! |

| If watching OPs could kill then this anime's OP could do this job, I swear. I really missed it. "Internet history: Check" I loved that. I so support Naru, I want her to become a strong person she wishes to become. Huhuhu looks like someone is jealous. You better don't stop her Yaya, Naru has finally found some dream, let her pursue it. I am glad Naru spoke up. I love Hana, she is so straightforward. That was a very cute dance and tsundere moment. Glad that made up. I want to see how the whole cast will come together already. Solid episode. 8/10 |

| I thought Yaya's jealousy was rather cute, and I liked the way she came to realize her own error at the end of the episode. Also, Hana's revelation to Naru that she herself feels lonely and helpless inside. Overall a well-written episode. |

| Yaya and Naru when they were younger! Yaya being jealous of Hana. Also she being a tsundere and Hana went out and said it out loud xD They sure get a lot better than Yaya saw it as. Naru doing her first performance in front of an important person. Naru + yosakoi = Approved! Naru + Hana = To be approved later! |

| Naru is so dang cute! I want to make love to her! I can't get enough of her voice either, it's great! Hana is kind of crazy though. How is a 14 year old yankee girl speaking native level Japanese, and like a pro-level free runner or whatever that is called? I knew Yaya was getting a little jealous, but this expression was kind of scary lol  I'm liking the show a lot so far. The OP is great. And I like the animation style, even though I thought I wouldn't like it at first. I just hope it doesn't go yuri because I hate yuri. Also I think the show would be better with just these 3 characters, the other 2 girls in the OP I know are not going to be my type. |

| I don't really mind "subtext". The yuri fans will see yuri wherever they want to. For example to me there is nothing yuri about this episode, but people that like yuri might consider Yaya's behaviour to be yuri undertones, even though it is pretty normal behaviour. |

| Feeling for Yaya the whole way through there. A true friend, though, is one who stands by her (or his) friend's side and supports them. Glad Yaya realised that by the end there. |

| I didn't expect Yaya to be tsudere, and it was hilarious when Hana called her out on it. And her having parkour experience kinda explains how she can stand on top of places that usually require some balance, which is pretty fuckin #killerkawaii. She's a cool double-fang weaboo parkour Jersey girl. |
| Internet History cleared :D The second episode was way better in terms of Naru's characterization. She proved to be quite a spirited individual and she's very dedicated to her friends. Yaya is okay too and I can actually relate to her - I know the feeling, as illogical it may seem. I'm warming up to Hanayamata. |
| Despite the short duration, the background music is really making this show enjoyable. The OP & ED are great to listen to as well. As for the ep itself, Naru is a cute character, daunting over various things before her guest arrive was hilarious. Glad they didn't go down the route of Naru becoming a good dancer quickly, after only shortly picking it up. It was hard to watch but I could not look away as it was also fun, the faceplant topped it off though. Determination & Hardwork are two traits I always admire in any individual, and I do look forward to her progression to becoming a great dancer |

| Thread Cleaned Please do not just state that you liked or did not like the episode. Add why you liked the episode or not. Listened to the OP enough to be able to sing it... and only episode 2. What up. (TIME TO LEARN THE DANCE) This was a cute episode, though a bit sad that any dancing scenes ended up being powerpoint animation... though they are probably saving it for the group performance. Yaya, what a cute tsundere, yuri love triangle confirmed! SHE IS A RESTAURANT KID, JUST LIKE ME... CONNECTIONS. The drama felt forced and very spontaneous, but as the scene continued it sucked me in really well. Gave the ED a good listen and is rather enjoyable too. |
| The only reason why I watched was because of some of the Wake Up Girls seiyuu had roles here. I never liked the art style, and the premise is boring to me. Hate to say it, but dropping. |

| The first episode seemed much more wondrous, exciting and meaningful in a way. Then the mundane reality of ep2 hits a bit too hard. I dunno, the pacing is strange. I want to know more about Yasakoi and the other club members soon. |

| Nice ep, loving Yaya's jealousy and how she went darker without turning full black, super kawaii. I ship her and Naru though it doesn't seem all that hopeful... After that, there was a four-year-long "Yuri anime drought" where there were no Central-element Yuri anime TV series at all. Yes, there was Kuttsukiboshi (くっつき ぼし), which was a 2-episode OVA which was not aired on TV. The "Yuri anime drought" ended in January 2014 with "Sakura Trick" and then "Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san" (犬神さんと猫山さん). Both of those are definitely accepted to be classified as "Central-element Yuri". But I don't have an opinion about whether either of them are well-executed or even enjoyable to watch. Leaving aside short OVA's like Kuttsukiboshi, if you want to watch well-executed Central-element Yuri anime then I suggest you re-watch all of the stuff that they produced prior to the end of 2009. |
| It was an ok episode, I guess this is Tier 2 in my on-going list, but it can easily drop at Tier 3. I'm not sure how I feel about the 12-ep count though. But if it gets boring I will have less trouble watching it to the end then. |

| These girls have a skin problem. They constantly have a red rash on their faces, seriously. I don't really know what to think of this series. It has moments that I actually do enjoy (namely the actual yasakoi related bits) but other parts of the show where it's just saying, "See? SEE? SEEE? They're so moe. Look how moe they are! LoL Yuri subtext. Did I mention how moe they are? I don't think I did. They're so moe amiright" it comes off as artificial and pandering. It'd be a lot more charming if they were more straightforward about dreams and bettering yourself without trying to make the characters "soooo moe." |
| This is a high quality moe stuff, still not understand why people hate a yuri show or give it a bad score. Whatever then, maybe it's just me who likes shoujo-ai/yuri shows with moe element, this is one of my favorite show in the season and yaya is just too cute in this ep <3. |
| Deleting the internet history... Finally an anime that is realistic ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Yaya is such a tsundere. Tsundere are never self-aware. I don't know why, but I found this episode better than the first one, even if the plot was really childish/girlish. Maybe it's because the interaction were more interresting. |

| I think it is one of my favourites of the season... I LOVE the opening, i LOVE the music, i LOVE the animation, i LOVE the character design... i love everything, i think :D Yaya was cute and jealous :3 And i like that naru is getting stronger <3 Also... I really like the fact that naru isnt a good dancer at the beginning of the show, so that means she can get better in various chapters... I think there should be more animes like this in this matter. Usually the main character learns to sing, or dance, or play de guitar, etc, in one day (or one chapter), and thats kinda weird, isnt it?.. so i really like this in hanayamata <3 Also! :D I love hanna. She is sooooo adorable <3 |
