| I really like how realistic and lively the family feels, I am not sure how I feel about this much fanservice centered around a middle school girl though her age is a surprise given that she barely even looks like a middle schooler. The visuals were probably the best of any slice of life show that has aired so far this season. |

| The unbelievably bizarre character design combined with the beautifully animated scenes disturbs me. It's like the production studio hired 12 year old girl was hired to design the characters and attempted to make up for the design by making the show visually appealing. It reminds me of that TikTok filter that makes your face look small. |

| Watching this series without subs and limited Japanese to get better at the language, here's what I gather happened: Akebi wants to go to same middle school as mom because admires mom. Mom makes same uniform she wore as a student and Akebi loves it. Younger sibling thinks the sailor uniform and Akebi in general are cool. At the school entrance shindig, Akebi realizes the uniform has changed since her mom went to the school. She talks with the principal afterwards who, after hearing how much the uniform means to Akebi, decides to let her wear it as an exception. Akebi has some misgivings about wearing a different uniform from everyone else but decides either that she likes the uniform too much or that there isn't enough time to replace it before the first day of school. First day comes and she is early, but not as early as toe nail girl (didn't get her name and so will call her as such). Akebi sees toe nail girl perform a disgusting act. Here I learned Akebi is a stronger person than I as, instead of gaging, she does something unspeakably vile in turn to gain friendship with toe nail girl. They have a conversation about how the two of them have things that set them apart from the crowds. A pact has formed that will not easily be broken. I cautiously await my next foray into this startling world of women interacting with other women. If you read this far, please tell me how well I understood the plot beats and if there is any important info that would be good to know going into episode two. |

| Yeah cutie of the season, i am gonna say. Maybe with Slow Loop. But since i am still not watching that this is already catch my attention from the first sight. This also got a similar vibe with NNB. Middle schooler girl from the countryside. Oh yeah, can't wait to see girls dynamic in the future. Hopefully there's no drama attach there. Just keep this as fluffy and cute as its supposed to be, and i grant this a good point. Can she? Alright, what else shall i saying? Can't say much. This is just relaxing, fluffy, cute, and, nice, based on my first impression. HanaKana also took a part as her mom too, which certainly lifting up all my attention toward this. Not to mention her little sister. Holy shit, bruh, dat ass slap. Mood booster already. Bit sad with Akebi finding out her school didn't use the sailor uniform anymore. However she really had a guts with all the confidence and support from her family, especially from her little sister *laugh*. Nice end, she already met someone close enough to her situations. Even though the girl sure had a weird way to fight anxiety. But oh well, that's not a problem at all! Straightly reserved this on my watching list without doubt. |

| I came into this thinking I would just idk get distracted, but oh boi it drew me in little by little like a seductress and boom.. I can feel the characters emotions and was entwined into the story and overall tension. |

| This is my very last anime I'm planning on my list for Winter 2022 (Well I have one more which is Ryman Club) because this adaptation scares me to the deed with the fanservice that can be more unsettling to watch in comparison to Sono Bisque although both of them contains fanservice and I have read some of the manga so I'm half understanding/not understanding this but yeah from the start, her name is Akebi who is overly enthusiastic (that she literally flex her gymnastic skill) to start a new school year at an all girl school and the water seems fresh, the grass is beautiful too and I have to touch grass and become a dork completionist to witness a very simple story that can be terrifying and unsettling fanservice with a twist of beautiful almost godlike animation produced by Cloverwork. One brownie point though is that Akebi worked very hard to get into some hard school and she knows her way to make her parents proud of her, I like their relationship with one another, the little sister is a nice girl too . Akebi surely does like her sailor uniform, she wants to be different than others. Akebi and her mom went to a fabric store to make a sailor uniform, just like what Akebi really wants to wear for the rest of her school life. I feel something is weird, both the little sister and Akebi look really alike while in the manga they look different and it made me think that Akebi was the little sister's mother. Akebi sure knows her return to give her mother something back while her mother is sewing what she wants to wear in school. Now Akebi is wearing the sailor uniform, just like what she wished for :P That art though when Akebi preview it to her mother and little sister was gorgeous. Oh boy this is giving me a second hand embarrassment, Akebi is like the odd one out for not wearing her blazer while everyone is staring at her and now she's sad and her little sister had to smack her ass because she cares about her big sister :V Man don't even throw that sailor uniform away because it's some hard work from your own mother and she'd be shed into tears. Akebi is back with her spirit and is as enthusiastic as ever! The sakuras are beautiful too. Oh boy Akebi is about to enter her class and saw Erika cutting her nails and literally smelled the clipper itself wtf, now Akebi is smelling her feet too wtf, but I'm glad that they're both interacting and bond like normal mutuals. Overall decent episode, I'm getting anxious with this anime but I'm going to continue it just for the sake of how the story goes. |

| Man, that was heart-wretching. I remeber how stressful to be different at school. And we talk about Japanese school! Komichi is really strong person. She decided to go in fuku and become the center of rumors and whispers anyway. I wish i was that strong in my school years. Yes, the visuals were awesome, hope that's not only 1st episode visuals. Erika is not what you expect when you see her first time. I thought she's gonna be annoying and cocky, but she is actually pretty shy and polite, i like her. All in all - cool, non-cliche characters, gorgeous visuals and strong emotions. I don't like faces that much. Sometimes they were kinda distorted and cringey, but when this anime looks good it looks amazing. |
| The eyes in this anime look kind of weird when squinting, although I understand it's part of the art style, as well as how eyes would actually look when squinting. The anime has odd fascination with feet, particularly with how well-animated and realistic feet and toes are. There was also that nicely animated scene of Akebi tying her hair back, specifically with how her hair moved. It's also the closest I've seen an anime get to realistically portraying how a school sailor uniform is made and put on from a purely functional standpoint. The artwork's also overall quite detailed, with a lot of details placed on clothing folds and shading. I'm still not sure what to make of Akebi's Sailor Uniform, but for the moment, it's an interesting slice-of-life anime with great emphasis on building self-identity through clothing. Of the TV anime released between 2020 and the current moment, I've only seen 3 of them, so I haven't kept up with how quickly anime has improved in quality since then. It's fascinating to see how things have changed. |
| Great animation aside, for a niche premise on an innocent girl obsessed with wearing sailor uniform, this seems quite enjoyable so far. Especially the interaction between Komichi and Kao. |

| Super beautiful and cute show so far. I find myself constantly staring at their heads and faces though. Is it cause it's reminiscent of like older style anime but modernized or is it just a unique art style. Not sure but I'll probably just get used to it. Also what's with all the feet close ups and shots lmao |
| Very cute and wholesome. There's a lot of life and love put into this, it's hard not to notice. I can tell there was a lot of learning here from Yamada Naoko and her philosophy of expressing character emotions via body language and at times intentionally leaving face out of frame. I wish they'd tone down the feet fetish a bit. Appreciating feet and aspects of the body for what they are and do is fine, but the disproportionate attention to feet is unneeded. |

| I was gonna say, wouldn't the school usually provide the uniforms for their students ... Definitely a lot of focus on feet. Very pretty aesthetic at least, animation and art looks amazing. I'm gonna have to get used to the faces though, especially when they're squinting - a face that makes it seem like they're up to no good lol. I do really like the focus on Akebi deciding to wear the sailor uniform anyway, having the guts to stand out from everyone else and do something different. |
