| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Pretty entertaining episode. A lot of teasing as expected coming from Alice due to the nature of her personality. The CGI-like character designs is something to get used to but I feel like they managed to capture the magic of the character chemistry from the manga. This served as an introductory episode but the Duke can be so awkward when confronted by Alice at times. She is so loyal to him yet always looks ways to tease him. She geninuely seems love being around him. |

| If you think this is J.C.Staff's distasteful take on 3DCG, fear not, because most of the staff from Hi Score Girl is here together with SMDE's 3DCG, so at least that we know we can enjoy the same feelings as the former. Some nice OST here! Didn't know I needed a pairing like Hanae Natsuki and Ayumi Mano for VAing Bocchan and Alice, now that feels natural, even more so for Ayumi Mano since this is her debut main character. Thy boy's name is Bocchan the Duke of Death, and whatever he toucbes, perishes...even his big-boobs maid Alice, whom she likes to sexually tease Bocchan in all ways. Being cursed by a witch at a young age, he wishes to undo this curse, but he can't, and now he's stuck in this endless loop of a rom-com between him and his personal maid Alice. Expecting a childhood friend such as Philip as a guest is mind-nerving though for Bocchan, knowing his deathly hands that ceases life. But him trying to win over Alice's heart is not happening, much less his true colours still pertaining to their past and his own immediate family. Whatever though, Alice is gonna stick to Bocchan in the long run. A really great start! This definitely brings me Hi Score Girl vibes. |

| Amazing first episode, the CGI doesn't really affect your enjoyment. Can't wait for more interactions between Bocchan and Alice (Both VA are amazing). This looks promosing. Oh also, the Alice fanservice is pretty uhm.. good xD Philip is the worst friend you can ever have, he even called him a monser. The opening is pretty nice and the OST feels lively. |

| Will definitely have to look for the CGI or better get used to it because it's full-on CGI. The OP is really good. Alice is such a tease but really adorable. Poor Bocchan has been cursed by some witch. Introductory episode for sure as it's just the start. But, the story looks interesting and good to me. I don't mind CG that much but we'll see. I love these two. I love how flustered he gets around Alice. LOL. And, she always keeps teasing him. It's kinda cute. |

| Quite enjoying this, romcom of the season I guess lol. CGI kinda detracts at points but I feel like it'll have the ajin effect where I get used to it the more time goes on. Must be tough on MC to deal with feelings of abandonment, but the maid feels like a different version of nagatoro lol |

| For me, the cgi doesn't look bad at all. Still enjoyable. Well done, they improve the story. Me myself still in chapter 30 At first, bocchan's mother never appear in the manga. JC Staff want to showing us that her mother still taking care her son. |

| The CGI is better than my expectation. Bocchan and Alice are very lovely. Especially Alice, she is very cute. The curse is, surely, very terrifying, even with the gloves can't suppress its power. I hope Bocchan will able to find ways to break his curse soon. |

| I like the manga and so far the anime seems to be as good as the manga, I like the "painting" effect they added in the background, I still feel bad for the Duke's curse though, but it's gonna be very entertaining, Alice looks great in CGI xD |

| "One day, I would like to put a ring on your finger with my own hands." - Yes, that was great! I've been looking forward to this anime for a while and this episode definitely hit the mark. It's so tragic that the two are clearly in love with each other but can't cross that certain limit, even though Alice has been seriously testing Bocchan's endurance lol. To be honest, one can't really blame Alice had she decided to keep away but it's really nice and amusing to watch her do otherwise. Op & ED are fantastic and the Staff are doing an excellent job with the CGI, this has the potential to go down as my fav show of the Summer! @SoraSenpai I know right, just the perfect closure I needed from the premiere! |

| Didn't expect the CGI, maybe I should've checked out the PV, lol. Thinking of it, this is indeed extremely similar looking to High Score Girl, another J.C. series. I'm not put off by it, just saying. Pretty fun start. This might be able to fill the Nagatoro void, even the MC's sound similar. |

| It's a shame how everyone treats him, and I'm sure most of us would treat him like that too if we were in this situation. Alice is a one of a kind though, is it love? Or just general kindness? Seems like love to me. Everybody is going to get mad at the CGI, and personally I am too. How nice it would've been to have this not be CGI.. |

| First of all I will be honest with myself... holy booba, Alice is hot! That level of teasing is mortal... both ways? Very interesting premise, it hurts to see Bocchan's life being ruined by such a curse he doesn't even know why it happened, Phillip's visit giving him fake hopes to recover a friend was heartbreaking, good thing she has such a lovely lady around... but that constant fear of killing her at any moment by mistake has to be terrifying. J.C. Staff is doing it so I imagine the CGI work comes from similar people that did the awesome High Score Girl, I have considerable expectations on this work, looking forward for more! |

| I actually liked it a lot! Alice is a great character and I actually like the Duke! | Team Hi Score Girl returns to bring us a shotacon anime. Plot for episode 1 was pretty straight forward. The maid does something erotic, the boy blushes, rinse and repeat. The final scene leading into the ED was nice and romantic, but otherwise, nothing to write home about. |

| Interesting show but the curse rules are inconsistent, the tree dies but the grass does not, the curse permeates through gloves but not through other clothes. seems to be a deus ex machina mechanism |
| I really liked the design of the background and The CGI on the characters wasn't that bad it's just that I will have to get used to it. Aside from the CGI, I enjoyed watching it and I felt really bad for the Duke. The OST and ed was also nice. |
| Oof! Yeah, those 3d cg character models are very disappointing. Otherwise it was fine. Cute if repetitive first half then a darker second. Still, I may drop this down the line if the character models become too much. But maybe not, I've watched other series with them before afterall. |

| that was a great first episode! cgi felt weird at first, but i quickly got used to it and it turned out well. the part with phillip even made me tear up, poor bocchan :( definitely looking forward to future episodes |

| Fore fucks sake, stop complaining about the use of CGI on this, animation looks good. There was a series a few years back called Pushing Daisies and Duke of Death and his Maid reminded of it. Liked the chemistry out protagonists have, there's some intrigue here so I'll keep on this. |

| The 3D is a down, but comparing to how good and fun the story is, the 3D is a minor detail. Alice is still gorgeous. Good to see Viola And good episode showing the premise overall. |

| I am intrigued how the MC can surpass his family circumstances and not loose his heritage money and other property. My guess, Alice is up to some sort of Jeeves scheme. It's almost like a hikikomori coming of his room, starting having social interactions and at some point hopefully being able to sustain himself. |

| Yooo this show had no business being this damn good. I was on the fence about watching it because I never drop anything and didn’t want to start something bad. I also hate CG anime, but I couldn’t be more happy, this first episode was AMAZING. Alice and the duke’s chemistry is awesome and her teasing him is adorable. Their relationship is so pure, reminds me a lot of waver and gray in Fate. This was one of the best debut episodes of the week for sure, looking forward to where this goes. BANGER ED too |

| 3D CG was not really that bad, what bothers me more are those painting backgrounds that kept jumping on my eyes for whole time, opening music was ok, also they might want slow down on chapters vs episode ratio |

| fuck me , i cant help but cry at how much better the premiere would have been if it wasnt for the CG ..... everything else was right . the music , the pacing , the voice acting . they even picked the righ lines from the manga to give the right introduction to the characters. welp , atleast the volumes are finallly going to be available in English . i dont know if i am looking forward to seeing my girl caph in CG. |

| Yeah the CG is not gonna help with this one. It doesn’t look too bad frame-by-frame, but the animation itself feels so lifeless. That’s detrimental to a romance and ecchi anime which focuses on the relationship between characters. The content itself is nothing special either given that it’s the same-old teasing shtick with the gimmick that the guy literally cannot touch the girl. I would be surprised if I don’t drop this after the 3rd episode. |
