Are you watching Season 1, which is the adaptation of Part 1 and 2? Because it's quite common that people find the story of Part 1 "boring". The most interesting things about Jojo are yet to be fully shown in Part 1. And stands only start appearing in Part 3. Maybe you can try watching a few episodes of Part 3, 4 or 5 first according to which story interests you the most, because the fighting system is stands instead of hamon. They are interconnected at some points, but overall they are individual stories, so you don't need to worry about whether you would understand the story without watching the previous parts.

Shit. Well, first off, each season/part is vastly different. I've seen many who disliked the first 3 parts but enjoyed part 4 and onward. its really a difficult series to recommend due to the vast differences in setting, characters, and story telling form arc to arc. I assume you started with part 1 (Phantom Blood) which most fans consider to be the weakest arc. tbh if you dislike it now it might take like 70 episodes before you enjoy it? But you wont make it that far. I'm a Jojo fan buts it's difficult to recommend due to how polarizing it can be

Well Part 1 (first 9 eps) is considered vastly inferior to the others by most fans and I think it really picks up in part 2, the problem with JoJo is that the parts kinda fluctuate in quality, some you might find really good and some you might find mediocre.

just like the others I can't give a good reason to keep watching, it does get better but if you don't like it then you won't change your mind. Maybe watch up until the end of part 1 (first 9 episodes) if your still considering.

Assuming you watch it because you see those hardcore fans who claim its perfect and you don't enjoy it - simply don't. JoJo is a complete mess of a series. The entire series is split into parts, each part has a different JoJo which is a member of the same bloodline, with a gimmicky "story". From part 3 onwards, each part could essentially be finished in 5 to 10 episodes, but Araki (the author) drags it like crazy with an endless amount of villian of the week episodes. These episodes contribute absolutely nothing for the story, the villians and allies alike are extremely forgettable and gimmicky, and even the characters themselves forget the encounter with the villians of the week once they are beaten, to the point even the series forgets the damage inflicted on the characters once a character gets beaten (random healing btw lul). If you enjoy that power rangers like gimmick in a story, then so be it, if not, then avoid it at all cost. Its just a very awkward series that in theory could be entertaining, but in reality the quality of writing keeps on dropping more and more beyond part 2 it no longer becomes even mildly amusing to watch.

Part 1 and 2 are completely different than 3,4,5 and presumably 6+. They're the foundations for the other parts and sometimes that makes them harder to watch since they're nothing more than building blocks. Part 1 is so cliché that it's an instant turn off for people but over the series, you gain to love part 1 for what it is, a foundational piece. Part 2 is more fun and you get to see a more comedic side of JoJo that a lot of people love the series for. My advice for people that want to keep going with JoJo but can't get through the earlier parts is to make it to part 3. If you watch a good amount of part 3 and find no appeal by then, drop it. Part 3's formula is repeated for 4 and 5 but in different fashions. So if you keep your feelings about part 1 and 2 consistent with part 3, you definitely won't like the rest.

If you're not interested, why ask other people's opinions for why you should continue watching it? I tried giving Jojo a chance. But aside from the bizarreness, there wasn't really anything that kept me invested in the show. I watched the first season and a little over half of part 1 of the second season.

Jojo is structured in a way that it constantly reinvents itself. Consider skipping to part 3 or 4 because the series works with each part having its own self contained story.

Part 4 is a slice of life for most of it, and the enemy of the week formula is improved in part 5, because of the finality, brutality, and characterization provided by the fights. I'd say try out 4 or 5 instead of just 3. As well, I personally find the characters in part 3 boring compared to what comes later (both protagonist and antagonist sides). The strong characters of 4 will probably be a better gauge of what to expect from the series. |

As a Jojo fan, I can't say it's easy to recommend it. If you didn't like the first parts, then I don't think the next ones are going to make you change your mind. It gets progressively weirder and more extreme, but also more self aware.

Just wait for Joseph Joestar, the best battle shounen main character Other parts that may interest you; Stardust Crusaders is quite long, but many love it because of it's comedy, characters, and interesting battles. Also DIO, he's kind of awesome in this part. Diamond is Unbreakable is a supernatural slice of life in my book. The main villain is quite popular. Golden wind, Araki's love letter to Italy. It's epic. This is how the mafia works? I don't know. |

Personally, the first episodes for me were also hard when I started my Jojo's Bizarre Adventure journey. But once I got used to the ridiculousness that was happening on my screen, I sort of started to like it. Can I recommend it? Yes and no. It's not for everyone. Don't bother with skipping parts iether just for the sake of becoming one of the fandom, because all parts are differnt, yet are sort of connected with each other in some sort. You iether go all in or you don't. It's a fabulous journey with some great husbando's, but worth it. You just gotta embrace it's ridiculousness. It has it flaws, but it has it's greatness as well. My favorite part is uh probably Part 2 with my boy Joseph Joestar in his younger glory, followed by Part 4 that I do appreciate very well as a close second favorite part. (Just my own opinion)
