| Myne what was that about only doing the bare minimun to be able to read your books? You've been fixing the church a person at a time so I call your love for reading bs, BULLSHIT I SAY! Joking aside I guess Otto's remark in the pub is more serious than I previously thought, we know nobles can get away with pretty much anything add to that Myne's growing wealth plus she being able to make powerful babies due to her high mana and you end up with a kidnap just waiting to happen. |

AFAIK Lady Christine only values art. If you have talent in art, she will consider you better than anyone without talent. She treats peoples without talent in art as pretty much having zero value, it's not worth her time or attention. Vilma is very talented at drawing, so Lady Christine was favouring her. Not as much as she was favouring Rosina, but still putting her way above her normal retainer. I am honestly not sure she would have bothered for a retainer without talent in art. Maybe. So Christine is a bit of an oddball, at least if what was reported about her is the whole truth. BTW the whole idea that there is evil and good noble is super wrong. No, in japanese, Rosina here said "thankfully, the incident ended without turning into anything serious". Rosina sis aying to Myne that Wilma was NOT raped by the end of the incident. CR has done several translation mistakes in this episode . Another major one is Ferdinand saying to her that she "won't be able to avoid being involved with nobles in the future" , which was translated by CR in "you'll be part of the noble society in the future" which is obviously completely different . | This one was another great episode. I love to hear these harspiel music pieces on the OST CD... So elegant and full of hope and passion. Ferdinand singing?! Main singing?! This is amazing!! Good to see Main telling Rosina to back down and not expect the same treatment she had with Christine-sama but you also got to do other chorus and not just teach her how to play. The reason she wants to hear both side and does not judge before it is because of the mess that happened with Lutz' parents before. It happens regularly in this story. Myne makes a mistake in judgement, learn from it and applies the teaching to the next case that present itself. And yes it turned out to be an appropriate time so she was right and you aren't. And I'm sorry but singing and playing an instrument is required for a noble so you're going to get it. I don't see why just because it's not a show about singing there shouldn't be some. And yeah, "assuming" the reason of why someone doesn't like something comes back to what I said above. She learned not to assume and ask instead. |

| Eh, this talk about "manners of nobility".. I understand that it's important, but.. To learn about manners of the bunch of snobs.. So fun.. Not, of course.. Learning music isn't too bad, really.. But to learn to wear masks everywhere and lose your individuality, be as everyone, and be nothing at the same time then?.. I don't like the sound of that.. I don't know how I feel about Rosina's case.. From one side, she indeed could do some basic things.. Like take chair by herself, instrument, or whatever.. From the other, I don't think she necessary has to do something else, to work on papers.. Learning how to play - already is work.. So I kinda both agree with things and disagree with them.. It's like you'd say music teacher needs to work on something else, besides learning music.. Or he's lazy shit otherwise.. That's not how it works.. |

| Ferdinand's stonefaced confusion at the "you'd be swarmed with girls if you sang love songs" compliment cracked me up lmao. It's genuinely cool the dude has musical talent tho. If the flower Wilma was forced to give up is (seemingly) not a metaphor for something bleak but at the same time no harm ever came to her, I wonder what really went down. |
