| My. God. What an amazing episode and season thus far! I blasted through season 2 yesterday and currently binge watching this season and I don't want it to stop! I also want to say.. and this is going to be terrible since we all have different opinions.. but if you don't like this show, you've got to honestly be fucked in the head.. and that's about it. What else could you want from a show? Anyway, I super excited for the next episode. |
| Historia rocks, I'm glad she basically told her dad to fuck off. He was so full of shit, trying to manipulate her like that. Kenny watching the drama was hilarious LOL I liked the action in the beginning with Levi and his squad. The OST was awesome, just as expected. |

| This whole season been really intense and IMO an improvement over S2, tbh I got used to see Titans going around, and am enjoying more the change with S3 part 1, more development and reveals, if feels like it progresses the plot more than just trying to shock the viewers. (know perfectly well S2 was just to raise more questions for the built up, but noneless, enjoy this way more, also I stopped reading the manga after ep2-4 of the anime, so it also helps that I dont know what is going to happen) |

| Great episode, definitely one of the standouts of the entire franchise! Historia reveals her true awesome nature in some fashion! “Let humanity perish. I’m the biggest enemy of mankind now.” - Historia was legitimately spitting fire here! Poor Rod couldn’t let Eren keep the power of the titans so decided to have a go at it himself Similarly, poor Kenny has realised the actual truth behind it all and furthermore realises just how cruel genetics can be. Dope action at the start of the episode though, Mikasa running loose was a dime to see! Levi managed to one up against Kenny finally but he, along with his crew, has managed to flee and regroup elsewhere. Should’ve taken ‘em down while they could. Music during the fight and during Historia’s revolt was beauty to the ears though, got to buy the Soundtrack (which should come out soon)! Hange, meanwhile, took a lethal blow but mad props to her nonetheless. Jean clearly lost a part of himself there while killing one of the oppositions and that was quite powerful. Rewatching this and it really makes you wonder why the oppositions didn’t bother to take out the rear of the Survey Corps first. Sure, it’s arrogant of one to even think that when up against the formidable Levi Ackermann and Mikasa but that would’ve honestly proven a lot more decisive. Also, lol @ Papa Historia spilling a little too much info than required. |

| So why did Historia reject injecting herself with the titan stuff? What was the downside? It's pretty hard for me to follow so I didn't get why she did that? What exactly changed her mind? I didn't really get the meaning of that flashback. |
| The whole thing sounds sketchy as hell since the people who did inject themselves and ate the previous holder of the power didn't use it to wipe out the Titans. I'm assuming there's a reason they didn't do it which has something to do with the truth. I just don't get why the hell they didn't share the truth with the rest of the family once they learned it and instead kept going with the stupid ritual. |

| This show has come such a long way since the first season. The writing and reveals have been excellent and the intensity just keeps ramping up. Even tho the main character doesn't have a lot of screentime this season, the shows secondary cast more than makes up for it. This season feels like mostly buildup, but it's executed so well that I can hardly complain. 5/5 |

| Intense fights at the beginning of the episode, I hope Hanji is ok. I'm proud of Historia for standing up to her father like that. The OST was pretty good. |
| Lol so Rod was selling his misjudged ideals as facts to make it seem he is right.. So they passed the information regarding the worlds of Human and Titans among the royal family for generations because they thought the only way to achieve human peace was to make them be subservient to the very being that they were fighting against.. Quite a cynical approach to attain world peace indeed.. Also Historia was a badass in this one and the OST was just sublime.. Lets see what Rod's Titan formation can bring about.. |

| one of the best fights yet, i LOVED this fight. i felt that internal conflict within jean .....damn jean-boy, best boi♡ that OST when levi was VS kenny was amazing, i actually liked the rap (K21), i think my jaw dropped a little when levi slashed kenny, that was GREAT. yes historia, YES. |

| another fantastic episode!! absolutely loved it!!! the action at the start was incredible, i loved the smoke screens they used, and even the whole ceremony built up so much tension kenny is so unpredictable lol but it was nice to see a stronger side to historia, she finally grew a backbone and realised also shout out to the ackerman squad for being so badass - levi charging at kenny through the fire >>> (and i hope hange is ok because i love her) |

| The action in this one was wild as I expected, Historia is absolutely awesome , she definitely proved that she can be new Queen by seeing trought her family disgusting and evil ambitions. It definitely takes a lot of guts and bravery to betray your own father like that during such a moment. Surprised Kenny survived that deep looking cut from Levi himself |
| Tremendous episode. The first half is packed with spectacular action. Levi Squad vs Kenny Squad was just as good as i hoped it would be. the animation was incredible, especially for Levi and Mikasa. The second half is filled with character development, emotion, and revelations. Eren breaking down into tears was an emotional scene. Really touching with the flashbacks too. Historia not falling for Rod's manipulation was badass as well. Better than episode 2. |

| Thank God Historia didn't turn into a titan...I didn't want to see her as some short ugly-ass naked goblin! Nice episode otherwise, everybody seems to be getting character development except for Eren who's done jack shit except for crying for 7 episodes straight |

| Decided to rewatch this season and noticed something interesting, namely both Eren and Historia are put in a very interesting dilemma in this arc. Firstly they both got to know the truth about their father/family, which came as more or less a shock to them. On top of that, they were forced to make a decision about their own life, right here, right now. Take note of how they both "gave in" to the flow of the story at first: + Eren being drowned in a mental break down and not wanting to live anymore. + Historia was ready to do whatever her father was tricking her into. However, even though things are not clear from their perspective, this is THEIR STORIES, and Historia was very clever to raise her suspicion about the past tradition of the Reiss family. From that moment on, with the "push" of Historia and the squad backing up, Eren was able to regain his sanity and moved on. While this path is unclear and can pose an even bigger danger for both of them, it's better to start off somewhere than nowhere, or worse, backward. I think the deal with Historia can be a bit confusing because from the outlooks her story just gives off the illusion that she's an indecisive person whose opinion can be easily swayed by others but I think there are sufficient clues in the story that pretty much clear this up.. + Historia is not an official child of the Reiss family, she's the result of her father giving in to whatever temptation or desperation he was undergoing at that time, hence her not-so "warming" childhood with her mother constantly lamenting over her existence. + After a very long time of separation, Historia finally met up with her father who also happened to be the only member left of her "family". Now, I'm sure many people will be booing this for the cliche but family is also a recurring theme in AoT. It gave Eren the motivation to press on and "dream" big, and the same goes for other characters like Levi, Jean, Sasha, etc.. So for Historia who had been going through so much since her childhood, having re-discovered someone who is "close" to her again is not a trivial matter, hence her dedicating herself for Rod. + But then again, as pointed out above, this is HER story, her life, nobody has the right to make the call for her, so she stepped up and pursuit her own freedom (hey now ain't this sound familiar lel). Not to mention that what she did was completely justified, heck it even subverts the "damsel in distress" trope because Historia came to the conclusion on her own and made the decision right at the spot without a shred of hesitation, which is cool. + Lastly when she said "humanity be damned whatsoever", it was more of a "I don't give a shit" or "I didn't sign up for any of this shit" kinda declaration. Because Historia never wanted any part of this, she just probably seeks a casual life with a properly functional family at her side, not one that's in for some over-the-top complicated scheme bs. So yeah, it can be selfish but not a bit disingenuous, which is rarely seen in character development. In the end, I guess the only real family Historia has is Frieda Reiss and boi, now that ED just hits home whenever I revisit it. |

| Normally it takes a full injection to turn into titan, but Rod Reiss turn into one by just one lick? What's the point of injection to begin with when you can just drink or have a sip lol Best girl Historia having great moment and character development, 10/10 episode for me. Love all her interaction with Eren. |
| Wow, it was intense. First the action with Levi and others (very clever plan with the smoke), then emotional development of Historia and Eren. I thought Eren would scream at Historia not to do it, but he did the opposite. I was really worried until Historia threw the injection away. So intense... When Historia told Eren to shut up I was saying the same to him, lol :D Now let's see how the things get more complicated with daddy being a titan. |

| I had certain expectations going into this show which were certainly fulfilled, but I have to say that this is the first time since episodes 5,6,7 of the first season that they've been totally exceeded |
| There's absolutely blood spilled on the battlefield and hands dirtied with blood can't escape from that Things are catching up and honestly, it's so good while the atmosphere is tensing up, Poor Eren chained up and helpless and him knowing the truth is a bitter lie Based Historia damn you go get it if only Rod Reiss isn't a pain in the ass now that twat gained titan powers guess the action picks up the next episode. |
