| welp finished FFXV, played through chapters 9-15 all in one day which, since almost nothing happens in the first 8 chapters, means I pretty much experienced the entire story in one day. ngl that ending hit harder than I expected, and in fact the whole endgame was a lot better than I was expecting given how devoid of plot the first 8 chapters are, but at the same time the endgame wouldn't have had so much impact if I hadn't spent a week dicking around on pointless sidequests first. Plot wasn't as bad as I expected, though I can see what people didn't like about it... it was just ridiculously rear heavy. now just gotta do the 3 DLC episodes. I hear episode Ignis has a better ending which is gud since damn that was a downer ending. They coulda brightened it up a bit (heh) with a longer epilogue but guess thats what episode Ignis is for. |

I was thinking that a few of the Souichi stories would all make a good final ep for the Junji anime, but I'm thinking it might be even better if it ended with Dog Diary or Cat Diary for the lols. You know, the actual pure comedy series about Junji's experience raising his pets. The ones that still use the same horror artstyle.  |

Episode ignis improves the game even more, makes ravus less of a waste, adds context to the ending that actually makes it even more sad, then has something really special in its bonus verse that really shows that they did intend to make this the last bit of content for the game before they extended it |

| TIL that the voices for the Velka devices, at least for the ones with female voices, are voiced by an actual German person. and the ones voiced by a male was Tetsuya Kakihara, who apparently actually learned how to speak German. and the other intelligent devices, like Raising Heart and Bardiche, are voiced by actual english ppl. fucking Raising Heart is actually voiced by Donna Burke. why do other anime not cast actual people the speak the nationality they want more often.
