| Their runs really weren't that weird, they just look like a couple of girls who don't run often. Aoba and her little montage of retakes was cool, and that sudden burst of inspiration when she was talking to her friend got me a bit hyped to see the finished product of her villager. Also, didn't think about it until halfway into the episode, but the music in this anime is pretty nice. Overall another very good episode. |

| That's some brutal hours worked. I'm assuming she's working at least 14 hours a day. I'm not familiar with Japanese work days but if this was on an American 6 day work week she's be doing 84 hours a week. And let's assume she gets paid $10 per hour, that's a $840 check right there. I heard people in Japan only work 4 days a week and put some insane amount of hours. Aoba indeed reminds me of Aoi from Shirobako. She's a hard worker and prideful of her work. All them hour just for one NPC. I for one always pay attention to the NPC's or other things like environment. It's what makes a game good. Who'd want to play a game with below average character designs or game environment. And just when she finished 1 model she has another to do but this time in 3 days. I think she can do it, she's got talent and attitude to improve. Yun was quite funny. Her expression when she realizes Aoba is slower than her and when Aoba falls. Winsome. Also "Disgustingly" , she's got the monsters of the game. |

| Good episode work-based with a bit of humor. It's pretty realistic how Aoba works on the models. It must be hard to create a NPC, and give him an expression. For sure, she works a lot, but it is often like that in this domain. |

| Meh Aoba was just a newb. Professionals can do the models in minutes >:D This episode was just to tell gamers to appreciate the games they're playing more because of all the hard works of the game studios' employees. Tbh many games nowadays are merely copypaste with overused assets of the previous iterations so I dunno โฎ(โฏโฝโฐ)โญ |

| I'm enjoying this series because of how accurately they portray game creation. After reading Masters of Doom I can definitely say you need to pull long hours if you want to ship a game on time. |

| As seems to be par for the course with this show, I liked the slice of life workplace comedy parts of this episode. But I actually really enjoyed the game development side of the show this time as well. I didn't feel like I had peeked behind the curtain of a games development, but it was an engaging conflict that was well communicated. It was a little cliche but I liked the punch line, that her work had been acceptable almost from the start her boss just wanted to see how good she could make it. I hope we see more even better done scenes involving game development by the end. But lets not lie we're not here for whatever this game is we're here for some moe. Well the episode delivers on that front. I really liked the opening sequence of Aoba and Yun being late for work. I've mocked this show before for indulging in too many workplace comedy cliches and not doing enough with its plot. But I really enjoyed this. Maybe because it did advance the plot this time, if only a little. Maybe being late for work is really relatable, despite not being focused on that often in various media depicting working environments. Maybe the part where Ko tells them off for their terrible excuses for being late was funny enough to carry the diversion on its own (it was). But I liked it and I think our cast played off each other as naturally as we've seen until now. I'm starting to warm up to New Game! a lot more. For what it is, it's pretty good at it. And some things I used to be colder towards, like Aoba's friend she talks to on the phone, I'm warming up to now. I still think it's aesthetics and lack of depth are its greatest weakness. But it's a bright, enjoyable distraction. |

| The phone call scene at the end instantly moved this from being just another 'cute girls being cute' anime to being something genuinely heart-warming and meaningful. Really did not expect this considering how standard the first episode was. |

| It remains the best anime of this summer season, if we talk about moe, but today has been able to improve by setting aside a portion of its freshness and slowing the narrative rhythm, and focusing more on the work of introspection and of the characters. Excellent drawings, ditto for the scenarios and for animations. Pleasant and catchy the OST, the opening and ending. |

| That model had a pretty good topology as well as a pretty solid UV/Texture. She sure has advanced in only a month to be honest. |

| I simply enjoyed this episode and it is inspiring to see how Aoba has progressed working for the game company. I know it was rough for her to start out creating a 3D character which can be very time-consuming. I could never imagine working those long hours just to make ends meet to making the perfect game. But yeah, being late for work is not good especially since Aoba, Yun, and Hifumi had to make tardy reports. I liked how Aoba learned something from her friend, Nenecchi, as she's a very good friend to see how she can make her character even better which to my surprise was really helpful. Aoba reminds me of Aoi Miyamori from Shirobako that it takes a lot of hard work and effort to make things work and doing your very best without giving up. I love how Aoba is slowly learning how the game company works and I think it is a interesting experience for her to develop those skills. It will certainly do many wonders as she comes to put her skills to the test. |

| Ha, I like Hajime's job! Making gross creatures move sounds like fun. Still best girl. Shizuku offered to let Aoba cuddle with her. Yuribaaaaait. Kou was kinda being a bitch...she never told Aoba "good job" and made her be harder and harder on herself. Sure, she was trying to get her to do her absolute best, but at the same time...I fear this show's going to have a twist ending where Aoba commits suicide or dies from overwork. ... Oh god, is that why this show has such a high rating? Is there some hidden psychological aspect that everyone has kept well-hidden? |

| Aoba villager model girl looked great. All that hard work paid off. Aoba falling head first must have hurt and Kou's scolding didn't go right. It was cute but scolding people doesn't suit her. I liked how Kou was pushing Aoba to do her best. It also want to make me root for her. |

| Ugh. I love video games and this anime makes me appreciate the people behind the video games I loved so much. Just seeing Yagami-san being so perfectionist and Aoba being so dedicated and having a difficulty designing that NPC made me want to see every NPC in the games like TLOU, Bioshock Infinite, etc. I freaking love this anime now. |

| Seems like the level of character depth is appropriate for the show at the moment, not trying too hard to be meaningful, but not playing just for laughs or moe overkill either. There's a fair measure of each and it's working well at the moment |

| Such an amazing series so far, honestly this may even beat K On in terms of SoL + Moe, really really loving it, the setting is so refreshing and relatabled to me. The cherry on top of the cake is to have some yuri vibes here and there, and this episode alone making feel bittersweet cuz it really portrayed deeply well Aoba hardships and she trying to overcame them reach something she was really happy with. The more I watch this, the more I fall in love with this anime honestly. <3 |
