Loved this backstory. I found myself relating quite a bit to Kaizaki during it. Bad coworkers and terrible bosses are something I dealt with for three years. Glad to be out of it as well.

I hate this shit ass Japanese work ethics and how they see suicide as the solution to everything. Glad that MC has a brain.

Kaizaki's work experience really strikes a chord with my own failures at trying to adapt to the "grown-up" world. There just seems to be this notion that being an adult means being busy rather than being fulfilled. This contrast can be seen between how stressful life was for Kaizaki vs how vibrant it is under the ReLIFE program. I know it's embellished for storytelling's sake, but I've seen too often how it seems like being a grown up means straying from who you really are.

I thought Arata was just a low life that needed to grow up.
Now we know, he has balls. I respect him now.

Onoya's voice is slightly getting on my nerves

They've overdone it with senpai backstory, everyone could have understood most of it beforehand but they had to recap it all again and rather lamely. Scenes after that were understandable in plot terms but weren't enjoyable at all, i'd rather have read the script

Unfortunately I'd have to say worst episode till this point

Touching and good story :)
Yeah, society is just like that. I will also do the same thing to Arata when Im uncomfortable with working in a company. Arata, youre the man!

I noticed when I chat with Japanese company people that most of them are trash. Rotten to the core.

This whole "If only I had acted like an adult" at the beginning made me sick. In other words, if only I had kept silent and taken the abuse... Glad he came to his sense afterwards.

All in all I must say it did a good job portraying the toxic work dynamics for young employees nowadays, and not only in Japan. Obviously the drama was a bit overblown, but the issues are real. As a 25 year-old who got completely washed up by his first working experience, I can surely relate to that.

Ahh, that's reminds me why I hate Japan when it's job related
People with tie and suit are heartless people
Even robots are better than them
Grow down adult! Children are better than you! They have heart!
Why good people always died early? :(

Hang in there Arata!

That woman is cute.
Dat flashback. Ryo did set it up. Also, so that cute woman is 25.

Another good ED song.

She really should have just quit the company... even if that might not be an easy step and and might have its own drawbacks. This isn't worth throwing your life away for.

All weebs creatures of the galaxy, hear this message. Those of you who listen will not be struck by western animation. You will no longer know hunger, nor pain. Your Anime have come to lead you now. Our strength shall serve as a luminous sun toward which all intelligence may blossom. And the impervious shelter beneath which you will prosper. WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY

This is a huge character development ep for Kaizaki who have always felt guilty for being part of the reason as to why his senpai committed suicide, which could all be avoided if only he kept everything to himself and 'grow up'. To fit in society, he must grow up and to not cause pain to others, he must grow up.

Thanks to the support from the supporter Yoake, Kaizaki is able to meet the 2 new hired that admired his bravery and share the same idea about the company. I'm glad that Kaizaki's viewpoint is also the same as some others and I'm glad that Kaizaki is able to overcome the adversity of reflecting on his past.

A thanks for Yoake for supporting Kaizaki to overcome his trauma and another thanks to Kaizaki for providing what ReLIFE wanted the subject to be.

[quote=TehSnawn message=46756651]A more in depth look at Kaizaki's past and I gotta say this was a very fulfilling episode compared to the last two. That company was toxic and I hope karma gets all of them hard. I felt pretty damn bad for Kaizaki as he's carrying one of the worst burdens any human being should endure; guilt over a death of someone they care about. It affected him so bad he can't even fully tie his tie up to his neck.

Then those new hires came to pay their respect. It was nice moment for Kaizaki and that helped him to lift some of the grief and despair off his shoulders.

Great episode.

Holy goodness, it makes sense with the whole full tie situation. Wouldn't have figured that out. Definitely a 5/5

I wonder what Saiki meant by growing up. But damn, that is one sad backstory. Those people at the grave that met Kaizaki seem like real ones too. Hopefully they follow on.

I wonder what Hishiro thinks about this strangeness with Kaizaki.

From my vague recollection, quite some material was definitely skipped to this part, but ultimately, I really liked this episode and learning clearly about what Kaizaki had to go through with his senpai who committed suicide and his former company. That company deserves to be bankrupt and shut down instantly for how scummy the employees were but given the work culture, especially in Asia, Kaizaki definitely can't be a hero that can easily just convert them to being nice angels again. But at least his message did linger for his eventual kouhais who learned the hard way about how the workplace can have such a toxic environment, and how there are some people that are willing to sacrifice the easy money and security for morals and beliefs like what Kaizaki did. Shows how caring of a person Kaizaki really is, even back in the day before his firing ruined him mentally and occupationally for years to come.

I really love the ending of this episode, it give me those "feels".
I'm glad there were some conclusion even a little.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Kaizaki being looked up to by his juniors was damn satisfying especially after that quitting scene. There's probably tons of them irl but that slimy boss and shady company were frustrating to watch.

And as far as "legal" stalking goes, that was cool of Yoake.

It's sad that he only shows an expression of happiness but in fact he hides his true emotions after failing with his previous client (how do I put that, client? Idk but you get the point) and yet he's happy with his current one
