Shoujo meter went up 300%. Ok, but nice kisses & funny faces. Still don't trust Mihaya, but he gained back what he lost pre S1, that family nobility. Lol adoption!? S2 highlight was Raj's amazing growth. Fun new characters: Rona's tricks, Torou & Obi's relationship was quite nice, Kiharu too little screentime. Obi moments were nice, though the rest deserve more development. |

Simply put, beautiful. Superb graphics. A real nice ending to the season. Expecting a third season as there's enough material to make one. That and I'm sure the ratings for this season is pretty high so expecting a third season. |

The thing that irked me, and this is a minor thing was how he gave a BS peck on the cheek once they were on the rooftop. Like you pretty much tongue kissed out in the garden now you're gonna grab the reins? I'm not expecting a full blown 69 scene but shit. Anime has this nasty habit of dampening the moods with these awkward aversions. It was alright, I guess. They dodged most of the bullshit tropes that infests anime these days. 6.5-7/10 |

Everything went smoothly between Zen and Shirayuki. Like the first season, the romance is refreshing, i can feel the pureness in their relationship. But i ship Obi x Shirayuki, i don't know if Obi like Shirayuki or not, it seems like he does but if he doesn't do anything then Zen will be the one who will marry Shirayuki that's game over. The end card says Fin, so i doub't if there's a 2nd season. Overall score 8/10 That neck kiss tho ♥ *gasps* |

Daaaaaaaaamn Zen, going in for the kill with that neck kiss! Satisfying ending. All in all, I enjoyed this series a lot. I'm glad I decided to start watching it last year, I almost skipped over it. The art in this show was downright gorgeous all the way through. The backgrounds were always beautifully colored, and the characters themselves always looked great. The animation ranged from good to great, never really looking bad or cheap. The colors of this show were so vibrant and bright, I just loved it. They added to the show's happy feeling. The endearing characters are what really made the show. Shirayuki of course, being the star. She was strong, smart, independent, and charming. Zen was ok, but I don't think he's as near as good as other characters, like my boy Obi. Or even Raj for that matter. Everyone got development, which was terrific to see, with Raj leading the way. So glad he was able to make amends with Shirayuki. The plot itself was pretty good. Not the most thought provoking, but Shirayuki tackling her own destiny is nice. The music was very good, sure it was the typical princess-ey type music, but I think it fit very well and made the show even more pleasant. This show was relentlessly charming and pleasant. This is almost like an anime version of a Disney film. Everything about it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I'd most definitely welcome more in the future. 8/10 |

Ahh...my heart sighs in sweet melodies when Zen and Shirayuki are together. This was a solid follow up to the first season, truly the epitome of a fairy tale love story. Of course, there was also the emphasis on repairing Shirayuki's relationship with Raj/Tanbarun as well as Obi's place by her and Zen's side. The ending once again connects Shirayuki and Zen's feelings for one another, that the place they want to get to is where each of them is. 8/10, I wholeheartedly welcome more if only to see Zen finally put a ring on Shirayuki. |

Just no. I can't handle that Obi isn't showing any despair or jealousy.. just can't, and that's annoying. Even a love triangle would be better for me.. I hate it when someone accepts defeat or isn't fighting at all. |

Katsu-kun said: Relax there big guy you must have forgotten a couple scenes I distinctly remember him asking her to ride on his horse with him after noticing she was wearing the hair thingy he gave her as well as the time he accidentally almost called her by her fist name as Westerners it may be hard for us to understand because we regularly call people by first names but in Japan but doing so is a sign of intimacy so it's not strange if you didn't understand that part but there was also the time he was gazing at those flowers. It really seems like he treasures the feeling of peace and happiness with his new companions the stray cat bastard now has a home he cherishes. He might ship Zen and Shirayuki harder than anyone besides Mitsuhide and my favorite fan-girling guard. Obi always the kind of man to not show his emotions so quickly or have you forgot his character already even if he did I doubt he would act on it because he has a slightly twisted but strong sense of honor. Just no. I can't handle that Obi isn't showing any despair or jealousy.. just can't, and that's annoying. Even a love triangle would be better for me.. I hate it when someone accepts defeat or isn't fighting at all. Also for those who are complaining about the kiss scene relax, cause first this entire show has been rife with glorious gooey lev bits and secondly that last kiss and hickey were easily more sexuall than 99 percent of most shounen, shoujou, Josei, and some seines manga. Plus we all wanted to see the mrk he left in comparison to her red hair just like the first kiss scene when she blushed. |
How fitting (or depressing I haven't decided) for my 100th post to be about me complaining about dicks who review shows without finishing them. |

If you believe MAL when they say 5.0 is average (mediocre would have been a better word choice), check which shows average a 5/10, it's not pretty. It's kinda like saying getting a D+ is average when it's "barely passable and you probably shouldn't take more courses like this." Realistically average is somewhere around 7.5; kinda just like with school, a B. Tons of shows fall somewhere in there. |

It was alright. I usually avoid anime with female MCs or a Shoujo/Romance theme but this was bearable enough watch. I still think the first season was better. The romance didn't progress much after the confession since S1 rather it felt somewhat childish and vague even in the end. I still can't tell if Shirayuki's feelings for Zen are genuine or superficial because of her indecisive nature and airhead personality. It also has a reverse harem feel to it which I don't like at all. 6/10 |

When I first started Snow White with the Red Hair, I expected magic, talking animals, evil people in power doing evil things, and a straightforward romance that would follow a paint-by-numbers pattern. I am so happy to be wrong. It's been a long time since I've watched a romance that wasn't bogged down by misunderstandings, obstructive love polygons, and the plot derailments caused by them. To my delight, this series was a pleasant fantasy medieval romance with no magic. It makes the series somewhat plain, yes, but it allowed for a greater focus on the characters and their relationships, as opposed to visual splendor distracting from the characters themselves. In fact, much of the budget seemed to have gone into visually showing off the characters interacting with one another. This is seriously a great looking show. That aside, I think my favorite character out of all this was Raji. He seemed like a throwaway cowardly villain character from the first season, so seeing him improve as a character overtime was amazing. What makes him better is how he didn't pull a complete personality swap. He's still cowardly, prideful and weak, but seeing him act self-aware and humble, as well as seeing him put forth effort to improve his demeanor made him a much more realized character. I'm glad he wasn't just tossed to the way side. And yeah, Shirayuki and Zen really make for a cute couple. It felt a bit matter-of-fact like to see them fall in love in the first season, possibly because they didn't really have as much time to speak to one another. I think this season allowed more of that time, so by the end, it actually felt like watching two people who really liked each other, as opposed to two puppets taped together by plot. In some ways, this is a fairy tale romance, featuring an ordinary girl meeting a literal prince. However, with all the crap they had to go through, along with a number of fleshed out characters surrounding them, I think I can actually believe in this story. Yeah, this is a fairy tale romance that was earned. |

From the episode thumbnail, I thought a time skip was going to happen and I thought Zen and Shirayuki would be married already. I'm SO glad that didn't happen because for a story like this, a time skip would ruin the authenticity for me. I like going with the flow of their lives and watching their love expand and grow. That being said, this episode was VERY intimate to say the least. Everyone's talking about the neck kiss and admittedly it made me red in the face. I love passion like that. That's why even though this is not my favorite anime, Zen and Shirayuki are my favorite anime couple right now. Their genuine affection and dependence on eachother is brilliant. They really do bring out the best in one another. I'm glad Raj sent the title, necklace, and letter to Shirayuki. It was so sweet to see their bond develop as well (Even though Raj's english voice is annoying). If a season 3 is made, I will definitely be there!! |

Eh, this season was basically a repeat of the last season...more drama, more subtle jealousy, more shirayuki getting kidnapped and that kidnapping arc being half the season....all in all, this season wasn't necessary at all. Their relationship in this season went from pronouncing love for each other ending of last season, to having more subtle awkward moments in which they pretend they don't know how the other feels for the other....to once again reaffirming their love for each other. Total definition of a milked season, so I kind of hope to be spared of a continuation with this going no where story. So, this season was definitely meh...which is a shame because it does lack a lot of what has became very bad standards for romances in this industry. |

Decent series overall, but if you ask me, if it wasn't for the art, I probably wouldn't have completed the series. The story was kind of weak, and in my opinion, the VA for Shirayuki didn't really do a great job at expressing Shirayuki's personality other than a few generic traits. Her VA went overboard with Shirayuki's weak side, so much that she annoys me. As much as I like the ZenxShirayuki ship, I would really love some real interaction between them other than the doki doki moments. I feel like I just didn't receive much from them to really invest in their relationship. Frankly, the series is not as good as I remembered it was. I wish the story would develop the relationship between Zen and Shirayuki more. I am glad the author didn't start a love triangle with Obi though, that's a breath of fresh air. Speaking of romance and pairing, I like the Mitsuhide x Kiki ship. Kiki is so gorgeous, and Mitsuhide is such a great friend of Zen. I cant wait for this pairing to get developed in the future! The opening and ending themes are nice. Bones generally did a great job with this series. Wouldn't mind a third season. |

I really, really wanted to love this series.Even before it aired I had my eyes on it and waited for the right time to really sink my teeth into it and hopefully enjoy a genuinely great shoujo romance series and perhaps a new entry into my all time favorite series. What soon followed left me overall pleased ,but slightly disappointed that it didn't live up to its full expectations. The first season ,while not perfect, was good and genuinely endearing .Can't say I was a fan of how they just threw the 2 main character together with very little build-up,but I could have left that slide if they actually explored the depths of their relationship. Its episodic nature was also very questionable, but overall it was a great start to what otherwise could have been a top notch series. The second season however was a visible step down compared to the first, most notably how the romance between the 2 main characters was put pretty much at a standstill from EP11 of S1 and if it weren't for the last episode it would have felt almost completely skip-able. Also didn't see the need to introduce a third wheel in the form of Obi ,and have the viewer victim blame him all throughout (exactly like Kiznaiver) when its clear he has no chance of ever being with Shirayuki. Also there was a shockingly low number of scenes only between the 2 main characters and when it did happen it felt more like fanservice towards the female viewers for them to gaps at Zen's tenderness and all those shoujo tropes, instead of adding or exploring new layers of their relationship. I would still recommend it and think its a good series, just don't set your expectations very high the same way I did. |

Great ending for such a wonderful show. However, I felt that the ending was a bit too weak in the end as I expected something more impactful to say the least. Well, this is just how majority of Romance anime is anyways and I'm not bragging about it by the way. Shirayuki and Zen are practically married and the trio of Prince Zen's attendants seem to be in high spirits too. It would have been much satisfying had there been a relationship between Mitsuhide and Kiki but all of the romance solely pointed towards Shirayuki and Zen wasn't too bad either. Prince Izaya seems to be taken of, though I'm sure he will be looking to stir up some more trouble in order to please himself. Superb to see how much Prince Raj has changed throughout the course of the series though as well as Obi. Fantastic finale, in short, but the story isn't just done yet or so I felt... 9/10 |

I love the finale! THE SHIP HAS SAILED. ZEN X SHIRAYUKI. ♥♥♥ THAT NECK KISS. /squeals/ Zen is good at kissing. He is too romantic! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ (>人<) (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) (ง ͠° ͟ل͜ ͡°)ง ♥‿♥ It is cute to see Zen carrying Shirayuki in a bridal style. I WANT TO SEE THEM GETTING MARRIED. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ (>人<) (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) (ง ͠° ͟ل͜ ͡°)ง ♥‿♥ Obi, Mitsuhide, and Kiki see them on their way to the tower. These three friends are rooting for the couple! ♥♥♥ That tower scene! Zen declaring his love for Shirayuki... It feels like marriage proposal. ♥♥♥ Another kiss! /squeals/ Shirayuki's official title: "Friend of the Crown" Prince Raj is really awesome. He really cares for Shirayuki and thinks of her as his "first friend." It is intense to see Zen and Prince Izana staring each other with a glare. So the first opening song of the first season is the ending song in this finale. THE END. SEASON THREE PLEASE. |

TicklingThoughts said: I love the finale! Same I think it’s fantastic, I was entranced by this beautiful story of love, the manga continues on through quite a long series of zen and Shirayuki having to prove themselves worthy even further for izana. And there is some development of izana as well and much more herbalist learning and what not. I think it’s close to ending, it looks like finally after being gone for so long(in the manga timeline) they get to return while spreading a new herb around the country. So i believe we are in the cusp of it ending, unless the author has crazy plans for much more story it should come to a close with a few antics at the castle and finally a wedding between the two. Which I would think should cover the rest of the next two manga volumes. I don’t have much faith in any more anime adaption though... there would be a big choice for the studio because I don’t even think it’s just a simple 12 or even 24 more episodes to finish off. There would be no reason to make another 12 or 24 because that’s likely not enough to close it all out. Think like the first 24 episodes are only until the end of volume 8 and now we have 20 of them with more coming. So the Bones studio would have to fully commit to it if they made any more because it would only end up sucking to make a bit more and then never wrap it up and leave it unfinished. That’s why I think that it really is over for the anime, as sad as it is to say that. And why they wrote Fin at the end of 24. I also think that further anime adaption wouldn’t be like what we have seen so far as the story is more about Shirayuki and other characters developing themselves rather than the love between her and zen. And that lovey doveyness that we squeal over isn’t shown so much anymore. It saddens me but with Bones working on a bunch of other projects and them typically almost always spending a lot of money on adaptions I don’t think they would do so again for this show. Read the spoiler section below for a lot of context as to why they wouldn’t. Especially since it would likely mean making another 48 episodes or so. Many of which would not have all the love and Romance we’ve been enjoying as it would all revolve more around Shirayuki improving herself and her abilities along with kid ryu. And I don’t think people want all that animated so if they really did animate it they would probably have to go off the track of being exactly to the manga and instead take certain pieces of her “other country adventures” animate those, and then skip to her return to continue the Shirayuki/Zen Storyline. Which as of the first few chapters of the currently being worked on volume 21 it looks like she will FINALLY be returning home to Clarines and we have no idea what will happen now. As much of a bummer as it is either a really really long adaption of like 36 episodes of her and zen’s Away from home adventures would have to be made or they’d have to adapt pieces of it. But I just doubt they’d bother either way. So what we have is what we have unfortunately. In the end I think it’s actually sort of a shame the Mangaka didn’t just continue their love and romance story instead of the extremely long herbalist adventure... With all the manga written this could even be a 96 episode anime altogether if they kept direct to the manga without deviating from the story and I just don’t think they are going to make all those episodes especially with their current shows being so profitable from Bones Studio... :/ All we can do is hope and dream even if the odds are low. |

Just my 2 cent review/impressions of this anime: A prince and a commoner romance story - what's not to like about that. Female MC is very likeable; and has a distinctive art / look. ***SPOILER*** ... ... ... Positive ending but IMO, it was incomplete/un-satisfying to me with regards to the relationship of the 2 MC's. Again, positive ending, yes, but I wanted a full confession I guess and that the 2 MC's would clearly be together with each other. |
