| Only that overly dramatic goblin-slaying scene caught my attention in this entire episode. That bullshit musical interlude was such a waste of time. Of course, you can't have a shounen without at least one pervy member: Ranta. |

I guess I was more focused on what I expected the anime to be like which was wrong of me. And on the music. It started a little sad, but after a while the soundtrack changed into 'what a beautiful world is this'. It is actually a brilliant soundtrack, cause if you combine the expressions of the characters in the beginning the song is sad, but after a while you see them smiling and you see the beautiful scenery so, for me, the song gradually changed from a sad one to an uplifting more delighted one. Thanks for correcting me, I'm gonna check out the next episode :) |

| The combination of its setting and atmosphere is making it one of the more unique experiences in anime. Its slow pace allows it to pay greater attention to detail (such as preparing the fire and tea). Lots of showing rather than telling, as seen with how the characters spend their time during that insert song. That fight with the goblin though. Man, the way they phrase it made me feel bad for it a bit. "Nothing wants to die." It started off a bit humorous when Ranta was swinging around blindly, but it sure took a turn for the brutal. That was really suspenseful when it started strangling Haruhiro. I really liked the bit when it showed Haru's hand shaking as he tried to let go of the dagger. It reinforces my belief that they were indeed normal teenagers prior to arriving in that world and that this was indeed the realization that they were really fighting for their lives. |

| The fight scene was pretty cool. I never thought I'd actually a little bad for the goblin. The insert song is nice to capture the tone and all, but I kinda wish we'd see some more world-building or characterization. Tbh I think I'm going to put this on-hold for now. There are many better shows I could be watching at the moment. |
| Those goblins really seem like they just want to have fun camping with their buddies and spending nice days in the forest. Until now the humans really seem to be the bad aggressors and is disrupting because the goblins seem to have similar intellect and are not just animals. _YatoGami_ said: Why dont they practice more set some dummies or spar cmon. | I loved this episode, the Main Characters are interacting with each other, we've getting to see more each personality (althought the Warrior almost had no lines in these two episodes). I don't know why people complain abour the pacing being slow, do they expect the MCs killing a dragon every five minutes? It's just the second episode, you can't expect em to beat giant beasts if they are said to be the weakest group. Also shout out to that Goblin, the fight definetely broke my heart. The way they realised it was kill or be killed, be quick or be dead, just got me. Priest x Mage, so I guess it's going to be MC x Archer, it's not a bad couple tho. Am I the only one that thinks that the pervy dark knight it's going to eventyally leave the group and turn bad? I've got a bad feeling about him. |

| I don't get how this anime have more popularity than KonoSuba... I think this anime tried hard but failed. I mean seriously? After an emotional killing goblin, you spend the 1/4 of the episode to just listening to music and people doing random things like carving airplane? Then the guy just say that he's fine? What? How did people say this good again? I'm probably dropping later on, just to see why this is so popular. |

| Liked how the fight was tough for noobs. They are noobs after all. It makes sense. Also it felt violent and brutal. I think they did a good job with showing how the players had to come to terms with the reality of killing other living creatures. It may have just been a goblin, but you almost had to feel kg of bad for it when it was yelling in pain. The music is nice too. Although that song in the middle felt a bit long and out of place for a montage. It's not like a movie, where a 5 min song and montage don't seem long, in the middle of a 2 hour movie. This took up about 1/3 of the show if you don't count the OP. Got my wifu interested in it now so it looks like we will be watching it too the end. (ღ˘ω˘ღ) |

| Wow, one series that tries to make "heroes" from modern world act real in similiar situation. To kill is definitely not an easy task. It changes a man. And I even enjoyed the end when Ranta did something completely stupid just to convince himself he is still his old self even when he isn't. I kinda feel sorry for him. And there are two pairs on horizon already, Manato/Shihoru are obvious but from the way they are "hating" each other, the second one would be Ranta/Yume. I have to say I'm really interested in how things develops further. I expect some quarrel over a girl and the group may as well as disband for a while. Next, they will encounter members of other group and nice battle royale begins. Have to say I start to like this fresh attempt on genre that we have seen ton-times over before. |

| dat booty shot near the beginning was hnnnnng but man that goblin kill was utterly gruesome and had me cringing IRL. Everything after felt crushingly oppressive and harrowing. That single kill made the remaining episode utterly lifeless. Maybe it's just my imagination...? I definitely enjoyed this episode more than the first because of it though. Aside from the insert song, which was pointless. I always zone out during insert songs/montages. The only thing I got out of that was the lewd panties. |

| I think I'll pass on this one. I don't like any of the characters, and the story is incredibly bland. The one thing I did appreciate was how the 'monsters' were shown to have a desire to live. In other RPG anime, such as Log Horizon, monsters are depicted as 'soulless' beings who exist just so that players can earn items and level up. |
| The pacing is very good if it was a 20+ episode anime. I'm a little disappointed knowing its only 12. I always liked the idea of people having to actually work their way up in a mmo so I'm enjoying this anime in that aspect. Though I am curious how much stronger they can actually get in 10 more episodes... |

| I felt sorry for the goblin they killed. They portrayed very nicely the fear it felt and its will to live. I like how they "humanized" the monster to show that they also want to live and they fear death as our characters. It's not like other shows of this type like Sword Art Online, Log Horizon or Konosuba in which monsters are dehumanized just to make the act of killing them painless and without remorse. Also, the music was very good. The bad? The song took a big chunk of the episode. |

| So again they found an goblin to fight against. First of all Yumes booty was....damn :o But what in the hell did Ranta in this moment? Yelling like an idiot so that the goblin was warned. They almost couldn't finish him off with 6 people. I can imagine that some of them didn't really want to kill, but otherwise they can't survive. That sword in the shoulder must hurt af for Haruhiro. Ranta was pretty reckless in that scene were he finally killed the goblin. They made an okay amount of money with it. The OST was nice but I agree it felt really long. I also think it's slowpaced atm, hopefully this will change with the upcoming episodes. Of course Ranta wanted to see Shihoru and Yume naked, can't blame him to much for that :D |

| Oh God, the struggle against the goblin was real. It's still nice and I really dig the calm atmoshphere. The visuals and soundtrack are emphasizing that as well. The insert song was kinda random according to some here, but I enjoy sequences like that without any dialogue where we just watch the characters doing some stuff. Looking forward to more. |

| In defense of the insert song, it seemed like a pretty reasonable tradeoff. Want to show off meaningful character interactions and invest in worldbuilding in a short yet effective manner? Have a nice, peaceful song on top of the day-to-day lives of the citizens. I actually really enjoyed the decision. I was able to make my own observations about how characters secretly feel about one another, some of their hobbies, how they relieve stress, and so much more. In just that short amount of time, I was able to learn a shit-ton about the characters and grow more attached to them. It was refreshing not having the show turn to the camera and directly point out in the most mechanical tone, "This character acts like this. This character acts like that," and then move on. Arguably, it was a great way to show character development, and it exercised my observation skills for once in my life. Was it somewhat out of place after the gory affair from before? To some extent, yeah, but I'm not really sure how else they would've been able to fit all of the information gathered from that insert-song scene into a regular formula. It'd take too long. Considering the limitations of being a twelve-episode anime with a mid-budget, I was pretty pleasantly surprised. Until the scene where Ranta becomes a fucking pervert again. At least I could just ignore it this time, as I didn't have the see them sexualize the two heroines again. |
