The artwork style is still in it with the character montages. It still has a slow pace feeling but the action picked up against the goblins. Oh the screams. | God, what were both director and commite thinking? putting 6 minutes of full SoL-like insert song minutes AFTER that god-it's-horifying-my-hand-went-shiver scene? really? shall we add SoL for this show, please? This is beyond stupid. |
| OP Yet another nice episode. That insert song left me with super mixed feelings, for one, it was super well placed and I dunno, really make me feel more attached to the show but on the other it was kinda of a waste of time. By the end I did feel like the characters were much closer together though, they were friendlier with each other and stuff now, so I say things worked out in the end. I loved how they added those Ranta bits to the episode, that stuff is not in the novel, it's small things like that that are really important for his character, he's not just some genki retard. Honestly, the first volume is really hard to adapt, I wonder how they are going to adapt these next bits until we hit the climax. I'm guessing next episode will be dedicated to just them fighting in the ruins and we are left with a cliffhanger, if that's how it goes then I see at least 5 episodes for the first volume, but I think that's fine considering the others (2 more volumes I'm guessing) are easier. Or somehow this gets 24 episodes, r-right? Nah, first episode wouldn't be that rushed if that was the case I'd imagine. And damn, I thought the OP was good but that ED... | OP and ED were good. Was it just me or was that insert song there for no reason. Overall pretty good episode. I still like the world building, and the action still works. OVA announced apparently. 4/5 |

| OP/ED look good. That first scene with fighting the goblin was well-done, and after that a few characters start to think about the concept of spilling blood. I thought the insert song would be pretty short, but it ended up feeling out of place. The conversations were nice though. |

| I can already see that there's gonna be a split in regards to the ending with the bath with some being glad that they didn't show the girls naked and those that wanted to see lol Personally I would have been fine with either outcome, but then going with the former makes me want to take the series more seriously since it's not fanservice heavy which isn't a bad thing for me at all btw The beginning scenes with Haruhiro and Manato plus the second half of the episode were very calm and sweet, and it was nice to see our main characters interact with each other and the world around them etc....This series in general is just doing a great job at making this feel authentic and I love it....The insert song was fitting for the scene imo but it felt kinda random though lol However, that fight with the goblin was super intense and I loved every bit of it....It felt real to me from beginning to end becaue I kinda felt where they were coming from with their thoughts and doubts etc and seeing how they all felt when they killed the thing was quite the sight to see and imo is pretty normal Great episode overall and I love the pacing, plus the visuals for the OP and the ED and in general are great too |

Now i wonder will other group of people complain about they cut the fan service scene lol(though it will be in OVA according to Paulo27). | That was stunning, straight up to 2nd behind Boku dake ga Inai Machi. Most visually appealing episode i've seen in a long time. I was actually shocked at the Ranta vs. Goblin fight, that was so suspenseful and the emotions were done so well. Beautiful insert song and i was completely mesmerized. |

| I started yawning in the first 4 minutes. The conversations are so dry and mundane. The creators probably knew this, and tried to compensate with fight scenes, musical interludes, and ass shots, which are appreciated, but they don't help the characterization any. |

| It's finally nice to see an anime with an MMORPG-like setting (with the loot hunting and stuff like that) worked out like this. It's realistic, and tries to focus on the mental part of the characters. I like it so fare even though the pacing is rather slow. |

| First half with the goblin was pretty brutal. The OST pumped up the intensity of that situation. It's not your average monster hunt party either. I pitied the goblin at one point, it was like a massacre. Survival of the fittest moment. I like the serious take on the fantasy world. Though they really got to train themselves in their spare time, I mean damn 6 v 1. It feels like something bad is going to happen to them before they take their jobs more seriously, I've had that feeling since episode 01. The second half though, is just messy with the pacing, an insert song right after that was just misplaced to me. It just dragged on until the "let's peep on the girls" and just ended abruptly. Visuals is just serene and lovely, battle animation was swift too. Looks like a potential couple is in the making. |

It's still funny how 6 of them struggle against 1 goblin, but realistically, they're all probably still level 1 or something, so that makes sense. I thought the part with the insert song was all right at first, but it went on way longer than I expected, so I have mixed feelings about that. |

| I never expected to enjoy this show as much as I currently am. This episode was fantastic. From the extreme tension in the fight with the goblin to the chilled serenity of the insert song montage afterwards, I loved everything here. It's good to already see some progress with the characters, especially Ranta. He was a bit unclear in the first episode, but now it's abundantly clear that he's forcing himself to try and look cool and strong when he's probably as scared, if not more so, than any of the others. It's a damn shame that this will only be 12 episodes though. |

| Pretty good episode, the fight was intense. Liked the insert music, but i think it was way too long and therefore this episode feels like filler. So don't really know if there will be some kind of main story. If someone who read LN can confirm that there will be something crazy, really interested. |

| At this stage, it has been established this kind of plot will be a common thing now since it is the type of story a lot of anime fans like these days. I maybe a little biased but i like this show, the main thing i like about this which i find different from one's that came before it, is how realistic the psychology and behavior of the characters act when thrown into this kind of situation as well as how they cope with it, even if they have amnesia the vary basis of a natural human behavior is present in each of them and i am interested as to how it will go from here. I have to Say A-1 Studio has been impressing me lately with a lot of good Shows lately...GATE, Boku Dake..Grimgar..looks like they are the winning studio for the winter season this year :). |
| Its a very relaxing watch. So much scenery porn - this series is visually stunning. The world has been setup and the characters introduced but not much story progression. They probably need to pick up the pacing and story starting next week. That fight scene felt quite real in sense it was visceral and raw with emotion. |

| i loved it honestly if you guys think its boring then kindly take yourselves elsewhere because im glad this show takes the time for characterization. the montage was necessary from my pov especially because it was anime original for most parts and further establishes setting and character relationships soooo glad they cut the bath scene short and used it instead for characterization. gotta hate ranta lol |

| Well, the insert song was a little bit too long (although it was nice), but I was still satisfied with this episode. The soundtrack is great and the characters' behaviour is still realistic and comprehensible. Ranta was less annoying in contrast to the first episode. |

| Loved this episode. Great battle in the beginning that shows how weak the team is and how dangerous fighting can be. I actually quite liked the choice of putting an insert song there. Efficient way of doing characterization in the limited amount of time available to an anime as compared to the book format. This is how I like adaptions, even though it might not follow the novels 1:1. Still hoping they make it to the end of v3. |

| Huh....everything after the first battle felt pointless imo....way to early for an insert song and the "fanservice" moment at the end was pointless as well. First half 5/5, second half 2/5. And as far as I could tell no Mary in the OP....utterly disappointing. |
