I liked the finale, but I felt that this could've been a much, much better series if they had made it 24 episodes instead of 13...
Also, the pacing was all over the place. Don't get me wrong, I loved watching this series! But it had a lot of problems.
I'm gonna give it an 8/10, I enjoyed it a lot

Never seen an anime this cringey and melodramatic.

It was fun seeing Yuu travelling the world and gathering the abilities. It would have been nice if they spent more episodes on that.

Well, the ending felt a bit rushed. But still nice to see him accomplish his goal.

Felt kinda rushed, likeable to a degree, but rushed. i really feel that the last episode could've been an entire series on it's own, exploring the effects of growing power on a man's psyche in a world with a dwindling respect of humans rights, or something like that. Nonetheless it was kind of fun watching him travel the world stealing powers.

Horrible horrible HORRIBLE last episode. So many unresolved things, it frustrates the hell out of me. The fact that the incredibly large cast of characters have hardly had any developmet is also very agitating. It's like the anime was written by a complete amateur.
I guess I'll be avoiding Maeda's original anime from now on.

lolno who am I kidding, I'll probably still watch it and end up being disappointed again.

What a trainwreck of a series, I can't even decide if I want to give it a 4/10 for being simply bad, or 8/10 for making me laugh so hard because of how bad it was. So many loose ends, so many plot holes, so little character development, so much forced drama, so much forced "comedy", so much wasted potential.

I thought they where going for an open ending with Yu traveling the world, but they really got through it all . Yu ended up becoming screwed up from absorbing all those abilities, though i found it impressive that he still ended up gathering all the hundred of thousands abilities within that year. It's a 8/10

Seeing Yu going psycho again was great though

I guess we didn't get to see the scene from the opening where Yu and Tomori are falling from the sky, what's up with that

Wow that was actually a friggin great ep.
Really loved how Yu just went crazy psycho in some parts. Those Yu eps (1,7,13) are definitely my favs. The abilities he had and the way he became so famous was BA

It’s over. That final was quite… rushed and anticlimactic.

As I take a glace of reviews submitted all around, they usually give the series a score of 8 or 9. Truthfully, this final episode has been quite an ass-pull on so many aspects to me that I have to sleep it over and rethink it all again before writing any potential reviews myself. I couldn’t call it a disappointment, but a rather an unexpected turn of events that just leans towards the negative. Or is that just a sugarcoated way of telling it didn’t leave to my expectations.

Well, at any point, a closure was like the staff behind the scenes deemed it to be. It wasn’t downright terrible, but it did leave me with the worst impression of the series overall out of all the episodes. Despite that being the case, it was quite good. That simply means that the episodes leading to the final did indeed bring me quite some enjoyment. :)

Ah, it was so rewarding to watch the last five episodes in one go. When was the last time I saw the anime with such great ending (or any ending at all).

Maeda delivered again.

Really it was worth to pick up the serie again, as I stopped watching after forth episode and then one day picked it up and run up to episode seventh. And then I waited for all episodes to come as I expected the greatness. And I was delivered.

In the end though, giving this anime score 9 as much as I would want to do it I can't as I can't forget episodes 2-6, or was it 2-5? First episode and everything that happened after Ayumi death (that moment was butchered by saving her with time travel) was greatness.

Now about the last episode though. How long did it take Yuu to 'catch all pokemons'? I mean he didn't change much physically so no more than two years. I somewhat doubt that it was enough time to travel the whole world and catch them all. Sure, I saw that he managed to grab teleportation at some point, but nope.

I can't say that there were many things unresolved though at least from the perspective that we watched the series. Series never went into grand scope like government trying to use the powers to take over the world, which should normally happen. And now that all abilities disappeared the goal, people who are abused because of their powers are no more was fulfilled. There naturally will still be people who will be abused anyway as that's the way world works but that wasn't the problem of the series.

If there were some plotholes left then I would say that it was the main romance that wasn't developed, or rather after Yuu time travelled to save his sister, it couldn't really progress anymore that well, so all romance was solved before that and we just get the happy ending at the end.

All in all for the last words, this isn't really the series that I will even try to come back again and in the end I still feel that going with Yuu time travelling to save his sister was the bad choice to make. Too much great development was killed by it. I was fine with Oni-san time travelling but not Yuu. Even though it was butchered by that 'resurection' and even though it appeared out of nowhere just for the sake of the plot, the one thing I will remember from this anime was that one episode with destruction of Yuu and then him coming back to his senses with help of Tomori. That moment episode was great and the seyuu made it even better, it was filled with emotions, and the resolution was also not bad. Then episode after with ZHIEND vocalist, that episode gave me hope that the serie will now be absolutely great... but the time travel bullshit stroke again...

Well, it was an enjoyable series. None of the following episodes were at the same level as the first, and episodes three to five or six were kinda lacking for me, but Charlotte definitely picked up with the unfortunate death of the imouto and everything that followed. I did take note of a few plot holes and rushing, especially during the final episode, but it was incredibly enjoyable none the less and had good art, sound, and main characters. Overall, I'd give Charlotte either an 8 or a 9.

I really like this ending, the soundtrack was following the ending too in the last minute. I like the ending , maybe this is the best episode i have ever seen from charlotte. Thanks for the good show Maeda (Even though there were many sh*tty twist). I really enjoy this anime. Hope another masterpiece again like this from Maeda Jun.

Overall , 9/10

GOODBYE CHARLOTTE!!!

Edit: Yuu was really amazing in this episode. i hope for more action , but unfortunately it's impossible. Why no one talking about the final power that Yuu stole, The power of courage. That really impressed me somehow.

I knew this was going to feel silly from the start, but while I'll admit the ending was still emotional, this episode angered me a BIT more than I was expecting.

First of all, this basically confirms that Yuu should've been able to deal with those thugs from episode 11 EASILY. He picks up on how to use his new powers effectively in the Philippines like it was no trouble at all, and then proceeds to subconsciously use them later in the episode. Where was this skill and intuition in episode 11? Episodes 9 and 1 had established him as capable in this way, so why was he deficient for that one episode? So that we could have a contrived character death and an emotional setback that could've been accomplished in a much more satisfying manner with the pieces set up.

Second, I still just can't buy that this kid was able to travel around the world and steal EVERYONE's POWERS just in time. Where are the super-powered beings who work with Syndicates like that bunch in episode 11? Were they the only ones in the world? Why weren't there huge squads of people out to get this guy who's hiding in plain sight for most of the episode? He's powerful, yes, but there would be a time where he'd fail to notice a sniper shot, and then it would be over, or some super power from an employee of the scientists or a gang would cause him to fail. There is no way he'd be able to have this much success; the best he'd be able to do is save a FRACTION of the world's super beings without dying. I know he's powerful, but he's going up against the world basically on his own. Logic has to be taken into account here.

Also, I'm confused why he didn't heal his eye for both a practical and a moral reason. Firstly, just because you heal your eye, doesn't mean you have to use the time leap ability. It's not a power that subconsciously activates. Second of all, why the heck doesn't he go back in time? Even though I think this plunder everybody's powers plan is stupid and ineffective, since the show reveals it can work, why doesn't he go back in time and try to take actions to save Kumagami? With everything he knows, he could have saved a LOT of people's lives long before this point, but because he doesn't want to "go beyond human reason" or something dumb like that, he doesn't. He's such a linear thinker, apparently, he doesn't see how he could find the most worthwhile endgame to all of this. I know it would be difficult, but just teleporting to right before you went over to Shuunsuke's facility would do everyone a lot of good. His dialogue basically said this is the only effective way he could do this, and I find that prospect ridiculous.

Finally, I have a rather big problem with this show's thematic implications. In one scene, he uses his plunder ability to take away the healing abilities of a Peruvian girl who uses it to help people in her village. Despite the fact this is a ridiculously easy ability to hide (and considering how much progress he's made, he may well have dealt with the people in the area who would want it), why does he take it away from her? If someone who won't get imprisoned for using these powers is using them for good, what right does he have to take them away before it's time? Why does his grand-all scheme have to come before other people's happiness? Super-powers aren't bad because they're exist; the only reason there's ANYTHING wrong with them is because all-powerful governments and syndicates wish to abuse their powers. But, apparently, Yuu doesn't believe in that, and doesn't think people should keep their powers, even if they're just trying to help out. Our hero, ladies and gentlemen.

Okay . . . Rant done . . . This series thoroughly disappointed me. I was expecting AT LEAST a drama where I cared deeply about each of the characters and wanted to see more of them when all was said and done. I wanted to feel the complexity Maeda put in this cast of characters that he did in Clannad. But . . . This series is so riddled with plot holes, poorly constructed humor, inconsistent characterization, and just an overall lack of thought, rarely could I find myself able to enjoy it. You knew it was going to be thirteen episodes this time, Maeda . . . Why didn't you make something worth watching?

Maybe if it weren't so damn rushed I would have enjoyed it more, but I really could not "feel" at all with this anime. Seriously, the comedy wasn't enough to even make me grin, the deaths lacked impact even if I did hate Ayumi's death, and there were quite a few plotholes.

Like, how did Nao's brother get healed again after Yu time leaped to the past? He never ran into the ZHIEND singer again since he was preoccupied with saving Ayumi and being sheltered in the bunker, but the last few minutes of this episode showed him lying in bed with an autographed album from her I assume. that's one of the smaller ones anyway, but it was made out to be a huge deal with Nao earlier in the anime

Well, I did enjoy it a little in the end despite all that

5/10 only because I hate giving score below 5 :L

A predictable and very painful end to a three-month long humiliation and frustration for almost everyone. I'd like to imagine that's what Jun Maeda's inner thoughts are after the boardcast; It's so painful! I've had enough of this! Why does it have to be me? It's so difficult. I'm tired. I don't wanna do this anymore. And you know what, if Jun Maeda is an anime character, he might as well be a whiny, mopey, unimaginative, callow, very unsophisticated, narrow-minded, inconsiderate, attention-seeking, talentless, deceptive, manipulative, insensitive, uncooperative and vengeful teenage boy who wields awesome power on a self-proclaimed crusade to save the world but ended up causing more miseries than before. Maybe the real Jun Maeda is not anything like that, and I'm now just steaming out the resentment I have from watching this monstrosity, but you are the architect of your creation, no matter how or what it fails it does tell something about yourself in one way or another.

Will get better after Angel Beats! ? "Let's forgive but do not forget." Now there's no forgive anymore.

Welllll, that was one mixed ride. Some good and some less good moments. But first, before beginning my final episode post : THE POWER OF COUUUURAGEEE!!!

.....

Dear god, I sure didn't expected that, it took me by complete surprise. For a second, I thought it was a translation error, since I watch a french version, which is probably traducted from the english version. But nope. That was just so silly.

Anyway, aside from that part which made burst out of laughing, it was a fun episode to watch. Yuu power became really badass. Becoming totally insane was great too, even though it felt like the show forced him back into sanity. It also seem like they forced NaoxYuu ship. I mean, I wanted it to happen, but it just didn't felt really natural. Mostly because Yuu doesn't seem to know who the fuck she is anymore. ''yur my gf? yur my gf''

Well, I'll stop writting here. I had one freaking crazy week at work and it make me feel sick. I feel like the episode maybe didn't help, but honestly, it wasn't a bad show. Just a wasted potential. Next time, 16 episodes please.

Note: Just my opinion.

Ahhh. It really hurts to say this after loving every single episode, but... I really disliked the ending. Not the episode itself, but the fact that it's the final episode makes it just... not good. It felt so damn rushed (first episode in this anime for me), it was extremely full of no logic, the ending with Yuu not remembering anything... It would've been a nice ending, but it was too SHORT. Too rushed. Too... argh. It kinda ruins everything that happend till now because it has simply no connection to what was happening five episodes ago.
If the characters wouldn't be the same, I wouldn't recognize episode 6-13 as the anime I started watching in July. That's okay, it happens in most cases, but... still.
Goddammit Charlotte, you were going to become one of my all time favorite anime, and you probably still are. But I'm disappointed. I'm so sorry.

To the good things:
-Yuu's English was freakin' hilarious. I cracked.
-A few of his powers were so cooool
-The ending itself was pretty neat, as I already said. But the feels don't get through to me ;A;

I DEMAND a second season. Just, please. I don't know what would happen, but please give us one.
